View Full Version : Sims just standing out side of a night club?

Not sure if I can post this here, but there's nothing about it in the help manuals and I can't seem to find anyone else with this issue since LN first came out.
I made my own vampire lounge in my town and it's the only club that's in my town *well except the port a party warehouse* and for some reason, starting the night before last, all of my in town YA/A Sims are just standing outside the lounge. If I reset them, they just come back as soon as I go back to my current family or if my current family is at the lounge and goes home. I tried setting it to no visitors, and they all lined up on the sidewalk outside the club, even reaching down the street. If I invite certain Sims to a party that my current family is having, they show up to the party for a little bit, then go straight to the lounge and just stand outside of it. I made the lot set to no visitors and they stood on the sidewalk in front of it. I bulldozed the lot entirely to the point that there's no lot options anymore, and they're still on the sidewalk, though the vampires went home. I didn't save after I did that, though.

Has anyone had this happen? Any suggestions?

I had the newest patch update installed for about 2 or 3 days before this started and I completely deleted all my CC/mods out before and uninstalled any CC that was on the launcher.

Try clearing your caches. If that doesn't work, there is only one thing left to do: Build a giant altar there and prepare the sacrifices. The sims will finally know their one true god.

I think it's an old glitch. I've heard of issues of sims simultaneously gathering outside of a community lot. Are you using EA's story progression or do you have a SP mod installed?

I'm using EA's. I try not to use many mods, but I do have the Hospital overhaul, dresscode per room and meet co workers faster from this site. It is an old glitch, as I have not seen anyone post anything about this happening since LN came out.

Apart from preparing the altar, what else can I do if clearing the caches doesn't work?

Have you tried blood sacrifice? Worked for me.

You might need NRaas Overwatch
See this link: http://nraas.wikispaces.com/General+Issues+FAQ
Scroll down to: "I have a pile of sims continuously congregating at a specific lot in town, how do I stop it ?"

Hope it helps

I'll try it. Luckily, I'm a big fan of Twallan and his mods because I'm usually not a big fan of installing mods because of stuff like this, I just have to make sure it doesn't conflict with anything I have already. I've cleared the caches, gonna test the game now. if that doesn't work, I'll check this mod out and get back to you guys.

OK, so clearing the cache didn't work. Going to try Twallan's mod. If it still doesn't work, any other serious suggestions would be great.
Not that I don't appreciate the humor, I'm just extremely mad at this game and I want it to work. The only other option that was suggested on the Sims3.com forum was to uninstall and then reinstall and then one by one reinstall every bit of CC that I have, which is about 200 pieces and I don't have the time or internet speed for a lot of that lol.

You don't have to do this to make your game playable (especially since Overwatch resets stuck sims automatically), but you might want to consider disabling vampirism, or cutting down on their numbers. Every neighbourhood I've had with vampires had frozen sims frequently, and every neighbourhood I've had without vampires had a lot less. Toddlers cause stuck sims too, but seem to cause less problems than vampires (maybe since toddlers can't propagate like vampires).

In my experience, I've never had stuck sims in neighbourhoods that don't have any vampires and toddlers. This does eventually lead to an aging population and shortage of "able-bodied" sims, so periodically I inject a baby here and there.

I try to cut back on vampirism just for the simple fact if they come to a lot or something in the day time and spend too much time outside, they end up dying soon after and it says "Sim McSimmy is in mourning because Simmy McSim has passed away" and it's almost always vampires who were out in the sun too long and never recovered.

Someone on the EA sims forum actually found the exact issue that I had which was this: http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2011/04/bug-crowd-gatherings-on-community-lots.html

I'm just waiting to hear back from Twallan as to what options I'm supposed to select to get them to go back home. Though I'm kinda iffy with this mod because it apparently automatically deleted homeless sims even if you have false turned on.
