The sims run themselves

Hello, guys! Anyway, I want to make a sim video. One scene is my sim walking along a long way.So I click the destination where I want her to go and choose to walk. But she just runs there herself.
So, how can I make my sims not run autonomously when I want them to walk long distance?

Oh, also, you know when they are walking, their hands are like clapping sometimes, I don't like it. How can I avoid that? Because I want them to walk like a model.

Sims won't run if their energy bar is low, iirc. If that doesn't help, I suggest you have a look at the Content Lists, and/or ask in the Where Can I Find forum, for a mod which will allow you to choose your sim's walk style. :)

Or, you can enter 'boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true' and Shift+click on a connecting stair (nor a regular staircase) and select the type of walking. But I believe this is only temporary, they'll switch back to normal after some time.
