Please will someone explain this i have no hacks or mods installed yet (beacuse i had to recover my comp using the destructive one which wipes it clean) and have not edited this house in any way!

You don't seem to have any bugs and you didn't wait very long for a reply at all.

hmmm good question i have this trouble too but mostly with the black color of one of the double gates the tall arched top ones.....when i am building i'll place them....half of the time they turn solid as soon as i let then go.....other times they will look fine for a while then suddenly go solid
i never asked about it since it isnt a "big" deal

I see what it is... look just like you put a set of curtains on the wall. Even tho it looks like there's wall there, they can walk thru it. What's causing it appears to be the need to use moveobjects to place the curtains over the archway. It can be fixed by removing the arch and the curtain and placing the arch back and then using moveobjects on to place the curtains.

If they can walk thru it, heck I'd just leave it. Looks kinda cool. lol

I suspect it might have been planned. That's supposed to be a creepy house with weird things happening so walking thru walls doesn't seem like an accident.

I have had this happen on walls where there is a light attached to the wall on the other side. By moving the light and then reinstalling the archway mine looked normal again.

Someone used "moveobjects on" to move the arch to the wall, when that occures its exactly 1 pixel from the indentation of the wall as its supposed to be.
Without using moveobjects on, grab the archway and place the item again where its supposed to be and you will see it will fix and fit how its supposed to be.
EDIT: Exactly like cynical chick said.
