Custom content on sims 3 launcher won't download or will take forever to download
 

Opening my launcher alone takes 5-10 minutes and when I try to download something it takes the installer a while to even show up and for a good deal of time it is only black. After about half an hour of a black screen I give up and have to turn off my Mac computer because the sims 3 launcher and installer won't quit. It does this with any amount of downloads I try to install at a time. I'm about to give up and just delete the most recent custom content I have added to the launcher.

EA's store and exchange pages are having issues, I think - according to stickies on the official forums.

Have you tried downloading the item from a Browser window/tab instead of the Launcher?

"Opening my launcher alone takes 5-10 minutes" – is this an issue only when you try to install things? Or also when you just try to start the game? I'm not sure I understand whether you're having a problem "only" with the EA store or particular content, or with the Launcher in general.
