Stuck at "Entering Create a Household" screen

Game version: 10.0.96.013001

Expansion packs: World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets

Stuff packs: Outdoor living stuff

The issue:
Whenever I want to create a new household, the "Entering Create a Household" screen appears and shows that it is loading, yet in never actually loads and my game is stuck there. I have waited for over half an hour and still nothing.

Note 1: It happens in all games, if I try to start a new game and create a family or in a saved file.

Note 2: If I choose a pre-existing sim, type in testingcheats and choose to edit that sim in CAS, it actually does load and really quickly (I timed it, 45 seconds) and I am able to edit that sim freely.

Note 3: I have tried deleting the cashes, and removing all packages and simpacks from the DCCchace, separately and together, the issue remained the same regardless of custom content involved.

Anyone know what I should try next?

Resolved!

Well gladly, I can say I found the route of this problem. I decided to post this reply so that if somebody else faces the same problem maybe it is the same as mine so they read this and directly get to the real issue.

After uninstalling and then re-installing Outdoor Living Stuff & Pets, the problem persisted.

So, I went back to this page http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...0Game%20Problem and did step 3. After very rigorous testing, it turns out that the problem was in my "Saved Sims" file. Once I deleted that, everything went back to normal.

My personal speculation is that after I installed Outdoor Living Stuff (I installed Pets first) the Saved Sims files became corrupt, but I'm no expert so don't take my word for it.

Hope this can help anyone else with the same problem.
