Is there an easy way to create a neighborhood with custom npcs and townies?
 

Years ago I think I read somewhere that if you started a new game it took all the townies and npcs from N001, so pleasantview. I heard that if you replaced N001 with a different neighborhood but under the same name then the game would take all the townies and npcs from there instead. So this person was providing a replacement neighborhood with an all new set of non-ugly townies and npcs and you just had to replace pleasantview and any new neighborhood you made would use these non-ugly townies. This is what I recall at least.

Is this true? If this is possible where can I find a replacement neighborhood? I'm not using Pleasantview so it would be an easy way to do this kind of thing rather than cleaning out my neighborhood and generating a bunch of new randomised townies I would prefer someone else's careful creation.

I have tried to look this up but not really found anything except with the other method.

Many years ago I might try these replacements but afraid to do it now. If I have a ugly townie and I want to play him or her I just make changes with the mirror, modify facual features and change appearance or make changes with SimPE, and sometimes change their DNA.
