how to apply omsp (one more slot package)
 

i know this is probably a stupid question, but I am relatively new to the whole modding thing, and i have downloaded some omsp, but i dont know how to apply them in buy mode so they can be used in the game.

Others may have their own preference for the order in which to do this, but the following is the method I've found handiest.

1) Buy the OMSP and place it on a nearby empty piece of floor or yard.

2) Open the cheat box: Control-Shift-C

3) Enter this cheat code: moveObjects on

and press the enter key to activate the cheat

4) Put the object you want to be displayed on the slot on top of the OMSP

5) Open the cheat box again: Control-Shift-C

6) Enter this cheat code: boolprop snapObjectsToGrid false

and press the Enter key to activate the cheat

7) Click the recolor option in Buy mode, click on the OMSP and choose the invisible color (if there is one). Making it invisible at this point can be easier, as it can be difficult in some cases to find the OMSP to click on for the recolor operation after it has been moved into place.

8) Click and drag the now invisible OMSP (whatever object you have placed on top of it willl also be dragged along) to where you want it to be

9) After everything is set where you want it, open the cheat box: Control-Shift-C

10) Enter this cheat code: moveObjects off

and press the Enter key to activate the cheat

11) Open the cheat box: Control-Shift-C

12) Enter this cheat code: boolprop snapObjectsToGrid true

and press the Enter key to activate the cheat

At that point, you're done.

Note: If by some chance your computer does not open the cheat box when using Control-Shift-C, then in that case instead use Control-Shift-Windows Key-C
