Choppy gameplay
 

yesterday i downloaded few packages, the game was fine and running well for hours until it suddenly gets choppy. My sims would move and freeze for a few seconds and then everything's OK and not long after, it repeats itself. All the while when the sims freeze, the music is still on, and the music notes still come out from the stereo, tress and shrubs are still moving. It only happened to the sims.

I took out all the packages that i downloaded, no mods, nothing. I've tried Process Monitor, deleting cache files. And the problem still exists.
I'm pretty sure it's not my specs here. Anyone has any idea?

• Sims 3 - Freezes and Lags
  If you encounter any freezes or lags in gameplay, try the suggestions in Game Help:Intermittent Freezes^wiki.
