View Full Version : Stages Of Life- Winner Announced! Congrats to All!

7th Jul 2007, 1:37 PM
This contest should be in "Other".

Hi Everyone and welcome to the Stages of Life contest! This contest is a bit different that typical contests, as this contest will allow you to actually play your sims while you compete, and follows the life of your Simmie contestant/s from Toddler to Elder!

1.) You are allowed to enter 2 sims only. These must be your own creations or simmies born in-game and all MUST BE Human and Female. (Sims may be the offspring of downloaded sims, but they must be at least 2 generations removed from the downloaded sim/s.) If entering more than one sim, please place entries in separate posts!

2.) NO PHOTOSHOPPING OR ALTERING OF PHOTOS IN ANY WAY!! This means no adding graphics, text or other decor to photos, no touching up of photos. All submitted photos must be pure regular in-game shots or printscreen shots only.

3.) No spamming please! In the past when this contest was run, it tended to generate a lot of in-thread spamming (though it was very nice conversation). You are more than welcome to ask questions or make comments to your fellow contestants, just please keep this to a minimum.

4.) No deadline extensions! In order to get through all the lifestages in the contest in the alloted time of one month, I am sorry but no extensions can be given to anyone for any reason. If you fail to complete an entry for a round you will be eliminated.

5.) FOLLOW DIRECTIONS! Each round will have very specific instructions for what is expected in the entry. Following directions counts in the judging, so please read them carefully and follow them specifically. If you are unsure of something please ask!

6.) DO NOT POST in thread to hold a place in the contest. Do not post your entry until your entry is complete, including all required photos.

7.) THE USE OF SIM SURGERY to improve your contestant's looks as she is ages IS NOT ALLOWED.

What if you have triplets? My Legacy sim recently had triplets, i clicked on random, had the room set up for one baby and BOOm triplets >.<.

You may enter one or two of the triplets but not all 3. As well, I wouldn't recommend entering them (Twins or 2 from a set of trips or quads) if they are too much alike (looks and/or personality) anyway.

As well, though you may enter 2 simmies I have not decided yet if one person can have both move on or only one move on. I will decide and announce that once I have a better idea of how many contestants I will have in total.

EDIT: I will be out for the rest of today, Friday July 13th, so please dont be upset if I dont answer questions or PMs immediately. I will be back tomorrow (July 14th). Thanks! :D

oooh i want to know that too. printscreen makes them so much clearer, it would be a bummer not to be able to use it.

Well, the rules call for IN-GAME photos only, but I will consider it. At some point today, I will go in-game and take 2 shots to see how much of a difference (altering the photo) using printscreen makes. Depending on that, I will perhaps amend that rule. Will make an announcement later.

bs624- Your bodyshot photo is fine. No need to change it!

To everyone- Love the entries so far! Very cute! Let's keep `em coming!!!

16th Jul 2007, 3:26 PM
print-screen is in-game , bodyshop and CAS are not in-game

16th Jul 2007, 3:31 PM
Oooh I didnt think I could enter as all my toddlers are from DLed sims but I remember now I do have one from an old contest. Wooo.......... *runs off for pictures*

16th Jul 2007, 4:16 PM
print-screen is in-game , bodyshop and CAS are not in-game

I know printscreen comes from in game and the difference between CAS / bodyshop pics. You dont need you to tell me that.

Perhaps if you read what I had written in the rules (no using outside programs for photos IE: pure in-game) you might realize that using printscreen requires the use of an outside program (like paint). Granted using the regular method and printscreen will both capture in the in-game image, however, I want unaltered images, and if using printscreen alters the images significantly, I will not want them used. Since it is my contest, that is MY perrogative. Thanks.

16th Jul 2007, 4:36 PM
Ah, less then 26 hours left...i'm going to have to hurry and get my toddler in. She should be out in a little while, if i don't make it then i'll be watching.

17th Jul 2007, 10:30 AM
What time GMT do the Round I entries have to be in by? I only get back to my normal computer on the 23rd, so while I'd be able to do the application the next Round could be cutting it close.

17th Jul 2007, 10:58 AM
Hi Everyone!

Ok, so I took some time yesterday to do a regular in-game shot, and a printscreen version. I can see where using printscreen sharpens the photos well but does not alter them too much. Since those who do not have great graphics cards can be helped to compete at a level with those with good graphics cards, I WILL ALLOW PRINTSCREEN SHOTS TO BE USED FOR THIS CONTEST.

Considering this, I am going to extend the Application Round ANOTHER 24 HRS, to allow for those wishing to use printscreen shots to update their photos. This will also allow new contestants to enter if they want to.

Happy Updating!

17th Jul 2007, 11:25 AM

Agnese isn't a toddler who likes to be picked up and mollycoddled - she's far more content to be left alone to play with her bear. And you're in trouble if you try to take it off her!

Pixie- The deadline to enter has been extended 24 hours until 12PM EST (GMT -5) on Wednesday, July 18th.

If you are unable to get an application in by then, I am sorry but to be fair to EVERYONE I cannot just allow you to proceed onto the first round.

I hope the extension will give you enough time to get your application in. :)

I suck with the American clock, so is 12 PM midnight or noon EST? I had a panic in case it was noon and didn't notice the 'other sims discouraged' - I was so keen on entering this contest again. So, umm, if isn't noon, I'll change the last photo, but if it is, I cross my fingers and hope it doesn't get me eliminated :)

:howdy: Hi Everyone!

Well, the official judging for the Application Round has begun!
Here is some important information for all of you!

1.) Since there are not a huge number of you as in the past, there will be NO eliminations made in this round. ALL of you will be moving on to Round 1 (Childhood).

2.) You will be scored for your application round entry, and the scores WILL BE posted when judging for this round is complete. These scores are only to show you how you are doing thus far and will not be used in the next round of competition.

3.) Should the judges come back with their scores before their deadline, I WILL make announcements earlier than the timeline states. IF this should happen, we will begin Round 1 earlier as well.

4.) I have asked the judges to submit to me in addition to their scores, their 2 choices for round favorite. I may or may/not post the results of this vote as since their will be no eliminations this round anyway.

5.) Round 1 information will be posted (so you can all begin working on it) either later on today (7-18) or early in the morning (EST) on 7-19. The information for the next round will probably be posted before the scores for the application round.

19th Jul 2007, 4:15 PM
Hey Everyone!

The information for Round 1 has been posted in the Main post of the thread. You are welcome to start/post your Round 1 entry beginning now! Any questions about Round 1, please do not hesitate to ask.

Judges are supposed to have their Application Round scores back to me by 6:00pm EST (GMT-5) today, so look for the application round scores to be posted sometime this evening. Since no one is being eliminated from the Application Round, these scores are just for you contestants to gauge how you are doing thus far. These scores will not be used in Round 1.

Everyone will start Round 1 with a clean slate!

19th Jul 2007, 8:15 PM
Can we do more then one pic, for each requirement. Like for the Chores, one doing dishes then one taking out the trash, or do we only aloud to have one pic per requirement.

19th Jul 2007, 10:33 PM
My Agnese is in a medieval neighbourhood primarily so, for the pictures, could they be set in that time frame or do they have to be modern, like the application photos I used?

20th Jul 2007, 7:24 AM
Here it is... My dreamland! My room describes me best, bright, cheery, and colorful.

My friends and I love playing outdoors especially in the snow!

I have to clear the table and (hand)wash the dishes...Mommy believes in the old fashioned way.

20th Jul 2007, 11:24 AM
Ok everyone! Here are the application round scores. Remember, this is just to give you an idea on how well you are doing so far. These scores will not count towards Round 1.

You could earn up to 20 points per judge. 3 judges. So the highest score that could be earned in this round was 60 points. Here are the results:

Agnese- 53.5
Esme- 53
Audrey- 52
Heather- 51.5
Sophia & Tomeka- 51
Adelle- 50
Jessica & Pearl- 49.5
Lucille & Siobhan- 48
Sheila- 46
Catherine- 43.5
Isabella- 41.5
Alice- 40
May -38.5
Lily 37.5
Pauline- 36.5

Application Round Favs: Agnese & Esme
Congratulations to all!

Ok to address some questions:

TRIriana- Agnese can be in whatever time setting you wish. (just make sure if you keep her in a medievel neighborhood, that she can compete with her 'modern' counterparts!) You can gauge for yourself though- if you do them one way and end up not liking it, you are allowed to change/update the pics/captions before the deadline.

bs624- Only one picture per task please! 3 pics in total: 1 of her room, 1 of her and her friends, and 1 of her helping out around the house in some way. (Aside you dont want to make her look like she's slave labor!)

20th Jul 2007, 12:11 PM
I'm really sorry but I'm going to have to drop out. I'm not going to have enough time to do round one :( Sorry this seemed like a unique contest and I was really looking forward to it.

Every little girl's room is a special place to her

http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k55/Kaeru_2006/siobhan4s.jpg (http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k55/Kaeru_2006/siobhan4.jpg)

Except my room is no little girl's room. I decorated it all by myself (at least I got to choose everything) and while there's some pink, my room's original and fun - like me. And if I want to, I can tell the twins out! But I usually don't.

Little girls love their friends!

Now that one's true! My best friends are Michael and Rachel Wilkes. They love to come play at our house, because their parents work long days. They come straight from school and stay the whole afternoon, until it gets dark. Our favorite thing to do is swim! My brother Rowan says I'll grow fins if I don't start swimming less, but guess what? I'd like some fins! :D

Little girls help out around the house

My Mom doesn't work - she gardens. It's easier 'cause there's six of us and we need a lot of looking after, she says. So I help her. I like cutting the orange trees the most, it's my special chore. I hate weeding tomato plants, but luckily Rowan gets that one most of the time 'cause he always sneaks out and gets caught and needs to be punished :P.

Sorry that you have to leave us. :(
Perhaps you will be able to come back in another cycle. :)

20th Jul 2007, 6:46 PM
This is my room. It's kind of small but I love all the bright colors! Just my style :)
This is my friends and I at a sleepover we had recently. We stayed up and watched movies, and roasted marshmallows outside and naturally had a pillow fight. Hannah won, but I still had fun.
And then there are chores. The toliet is disgusting, blech!

20th Jul 2007, 10:40 PM
Thanks for the scores, judges. ^^.

I think I'll end up having her room as modern; I can't find that many medieval things for kids' rooms, unfortunately.

Adelle's Room

http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/8924/sims2ep5200707201753140hp5.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

I like to keep my room organized and neat but I read so many books that there are a few lying around because I can't find anywhere else to put them.

Adelle and Her Friends

http://img505.imageshack.us/img505/1396/sims2ep5200707201819167gk3.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

We live near the beach and sometimes when my older sister is nice, she'll take us down to it. Last time we went, my sister sunbathed while me and my friends built a really cool sand castle.

Adelle's Chores

http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/4113/sims2ep5200707202223300an1.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

My chore is taking care of our family's bird, a cockatoo named Cheeks. I fill up her food dish and water and clean her cage.

21st Jul 2007, 12:47 AM
This is my room and that's my sister trying to come in when she knows I don't like her in here. I told my mom that I hated my sisters girlie room and asked her to make mine like a big girls room.

I don't know why mom makes us do chores when we have a maid.

These are two of our friends Jackie and Kendra. I like for them to come play with me but when Jackie beats me at playing rock paper scissors I get mad.

21st Jul 2007, 12:55 AM

This is my room isn't it cute. I picked everything out myself. That's my daddy, I love giving him hugs and kisses.

My friends usually come play with me on weekends. Today was a beautiful day so we went outside and started blowing bubbles. Mom was out with us she loves watching us.

Everyday after school I have to water moms plants. I enjoy it and love seeing the plants grow so pretty.

21st Jul 2007, 6:07 AM
This is my room! Clean and simple, but it is very inviteing. Currently my brother Leo, is sleeping in here, but that is only untill is room is done. I love flowers, my room is covered in flowers. There are a few I couldn't fit in the pic. My friends say I am a neat freak, which you all can see in the pic.

My friends and me love to play dress up. This is us playing wedding, we also love to play house, store, and pirates (well we have to play something the guys like.) We even got Leo to play. The polite thing would to tell you my friends names. The back two girls are Clear and Stella, Mike is sitting next to Leo. Aaron is the groom and I am the bride (Duh!) The arch is my moms, Leo is my half brother and we love to use it when we play wedding.

I may love to clean my room, but I absolutely despise having to do the dishes, but everyone has to do their part (Well, atleast untill I can trick Leo into doing them :howdy: )

21st Jul 2007, 6:22 AM
My Room!
This is my room! It's not much. Most of the stuff mom and me got from garage sales but I still love it. I like how colorful it is. Green is my favorite color so mom let me paint the walls (with her help of course). Sometimes I wish we could afford nicer stuff like my friends have, but I'm glad my mom works hard for what we can get. My bed is my favorite. Nice and bouncy :].

Ew, Chores!
I hate chores.. but i have a lot of them. In that picture I am washing the dishes. Which I have to do every day because mom's boyfriend thinks it's necessary.. whatever. I usually have to wash the windows, clean my room and walk the dog every day too. ugh. I wish the house would just clean itself sometimes!

Best Friends!
This is me and my best friend Jacklyn! She lives right next door and I've known her forever. We've been through a lot already even though we're only 12. I know we will be best friends forever!

22nd Jul 2007, 5:49 PM
My Room -This is my bedroom. My Mummy and Daddy let me choose the colour. I have picture of my Mummy and Daddy on my wall and my big brother.

Friends - This a picture of me and my best friends Naomi and Sinead. We love dancing to music and make my Mummy and Daddy watch us *giggle*

Chores - I help my Mummy and Daddy by cleaning up my new baby sister Lara's nursery. Its lots of hard work with a new baby so me and my brother Rhys try and help.

22nd Jul 2007, 6:10 PM
I'm going to drop out, I'm in too many other contests and it gets hectic.

22nd Jul 2007, 11:10 PM

Here's my room. It's always so messy and my mom hates it! I love to paint in here. I think it's a great place to get creative!

This is my best friend, Jimmy. My mom likes to teach us games from different countries. She wants me to be... what's the word? Cultured? I'm smart for my age, but I have no idea what cultured means.

I don't have many chores to do around the house. Mostly I just clean up my room, but clothes are back on the floor by the next day! I can't help it, I'm a messy girl!

23rd Jul 2007, 11:34 AM

I am loving these Round 1 entries so far! They are all great, and all exactly what I was looking for in this round! So good job everyone! :D

My Room
My sister said my room is too much like a boy's, because I love my race car bed! But I think she's just jealous - she's such a girly-girl! I like my cartoon walls, too. My little brother helped me to do them.

Hanging Out!
I'm home schooled, so I don't have that many outside friends. But I don't think I'm missing out - my family is very big and there are plenty of us kids. We get together all the time for pool parties.

Back: Kezzh (my Grams), Nancy (my Auntie), Edith (my half-sister - same mom).
Front: Philippe (my cool half brother - same Mom), Aurora (my Mom!), Patrick Jr. (my other half-brother - same daddy), Anthony (my Uncle).
In the pool: Annabel (my other Auntie!), Nora (Cousin), Portia (my "almost" Auntie - we'll all be getting together next, when she marries my Uncle Ant).

The Chores
[I]We live pretty far out so me, Edie and Philli used to have to go out to catch fish for our dinner every Friday and Monday... But I was horrible at it, so now I have to go down to the pond every weekend to clear it off the boots and other little bits of junk that people toss in there...I hate this chore, it's icky!

23rd Jul 2007, 5:33 PM
I'm going to have my entry in soon! I've just got to finish my chores picture!

23rd Jul 2007, 9:20 PM
i updated my entry :]

My Bedroom

Welcome into my little world. I love everything pink and girly. My mommy helped me pick out most of the things that are now in my room. Since was an only child, I got alot of stuff. My friends always love to come over and hang out with me in my room.

My Bestest Friends

We were playing in the backyard when we saw my mommy's old Wedding Arch. We all ran inside and asked if we could pretend to get married (Tommy is my boyfriend but mommy doesn't know that shhh...). Mommy dressed me up in all of her wedding stuff and put Tommy in a little suit. Karah didn't wear anything, because mommy didn't have any brides friend clothes. Oh and Tommy gave me my first kiss when we got married (it was YUCKY!)

Helping Mommy Around the House
Helping mommy feed the twins is definately a chore that has to be done. They always scream when they don't get their food, and when we feed them they're all wriggly. I don't think I'm going to have kids in the future.

I hope that this is good enough. The picture of them kissing under the Wedding Arch took me 30 minutes to take the shot...it was difficult to get them to both stay under there and kiss.

24th Jul 2007, 7:21 AM
Can you tell my favorite color is pink? I absolutely adore the color pink and that is why my entire room is pink!

Bomb's Away!
On hot days my friends and I will meet at the neighborhood park for good ol' waterballoon fight.
I'm not very good at it, I have terrible aim and I'm usually the one who ends up getting hit.
oh, p.s. that's Pim with the black hair and pink suit, Noelle is wearing the blue striped one and Ophelia is in the pink and orange suit.

Ick, chores
I hate doing chores mostly 'cause I hate cleaning. If I had it my way I wouldn't ever have to put anything away.
One of my chores that I have to do every single day is to make my bed.

24th Jul 2007, 7:29 AM
Ahoy Matey!
Unlike my sister, I'm not obsessed with the color pink. I love blue because it reminds me of the ocean.
I like to collect ships and anchors and anything nautical. My bed was even made from an old canoe.

You bring a line and I'll bring a pole.
This is me and my best friend Laurie. Our favorite thing to do is to go to the fishing hole and see if we can catch something.
Laurie got lucky this day, he caught three fish! All I caught was a stinky old boot.

The garbage may stink but I don't mind taking it out. I like to help around the house and to keep things neat and tidy.

Hi everyone.....

Only a few more hours left until Round 1 judging begins! We still have 2 contestants that need to submit their entry. They are:

Lucille McGowen
Pauline Stage

Hope you are able to get the entry in on time! :D

Everyone.... look for another announcement around 12pm (noon) today!

24th Jul 2007, 9:01 PM
Yikes...sorry for the late entry. =(

http://img77.imageshack.us/img77/4971/13638650es7.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

My bedroom a special place? I think not. Well, it's especially embarrassing, but that's about it. I picked everything out myself...when I was about 6. Now I'm eleven, and I'm just so sick of it! I keep asking Mom if I can redecorate, but she just says 'maybe.' Ugh, with adults, maybe ALWAYS means no!

http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/7503/57948563pt0.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

My best friend is Madison. He lives a few blocks down, so we go over each other's houses all the time to play. Things get boring in our town...there aren't many kids in our neighborhood. It's chock full of old people, though.

http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/4240/39421890zl4.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

Ugh, chores. I, fortunately, don't have very many. Clean my room, watch my brother, take out the dog, and do the dishes. My mom and I wash them after dinner. She rinses, I dry. It's actually pretty fun when you've got someone helping you!

25th Jul 2007, 12:10 PM
Hi Everyone.

Sorry for the delay in the contest, had a bit of an emergency yesterday (father-in-law in hospital). Anyway, here is the latest for you all.....

Since 2 contestants dropped out and one ultimately failed to submit a Round 1 entry, the 3 contestants that were supposed to be eliminated from this round have been. Meaning the rest of you WILL be moving on to Round 2 (The Teenage Years.) I will still be asking the judges to score your Round 1 entries, again so you can gage how you are doing. These scores, again, will not count toward the next round- you will all begin Round 2 with a clean slate.
(On a side note, evlevnz92, you clearly missed the 12pm EST deadline to submit your Round 1 entry. However, since I was not available myself to close the contest, you are going on to the next round, but please be aware of the deadline times of the contest which are always set at 12pm (noon) EST.)

You may begin NOW to work on/submit your Round 2 entry as the information for Round 2 has been posted in the Main Post (post #1) of the thread. Look for posting of the Round 1 scores to be sometime tomorrow.

Great job on the Round 1 entries to everyone! You all totally got the idea of setting a scene with your pics! Fantastic!!!! You will want to do much the same for the coming rounds! Ok! Good Luck to you all with the Round 1 judging, and have fun with your Round 2 entries! :D

27th Jul 2007, 5:41 AM
i'm afraid i am going to have to drop out.
i'm leaving for wisconsin tomorrow to visit family and we don't get back until the afternoon on the 30th and there is no way i'm going to be able to age her to a teenager and set everything up by the deadline.

this contest was fun while it lasted :]
good luck to everyone else! :)

27th Jul 2007, 9:22 AM
Sorry to see you go, Remy. But have fun with the visiting. :).

Mine should be up later on, ^^. Have the previous Round scores come in yet?

27th Jul 2007, 3:19 PM
I have one set of scores back currently. Waiting for 2 others.....

I am almost half tempted to just outright skipjudging/scoring this round because no one is being eliminated, and because the scoring for this contest is not by cumulative points- so the scores really dont matter. I essentially only wanted the scoring done in this round, again, to give you guys an idea to how you are fairing overall.

Another drop out.....sigh.....
Remy- have a safe trip.

27th Jul 2007, 5:54 PM
[---Please do the scores, I like to know if I have improved
---I decide for this round to go the limit very creative, I hope. Here goes nothing]

Sweet 16 B-Day: 1920s Magical
Well, for my birthday my friends and me tried to be different. We took two themes and put them together, Magic and the awesome time period, 1920s (I love the clothes.) All my friends, my mom and my little brother were there. All the girls got there hair cut to fit in with the time period.

Description: Well, were should I start? I guess I should explain what’s going on… My mom is making my absolute favorite dinner, Ribs. Mike is being his lazy self and just relaxing in the chair. I am using telekinesis on Aaron. Clear is orbing in, she was LATE, but that is not new. Stella is vanquishing a demon that decided to crash the party. Leo is in the far back just swinging, he is thinking about the cake.

Description: Cake Time!!!! Just 2 seconds ago Leo gave me a drawing of me and him playing dress up. I almost cried. Everyone else is waiting for the awesome cake I made “Chocolate Cream Cake” it is so good. Aaron had given me a black cat, he thought it was funny. I had named her Moony. Well, not sure what else to say, so I will stop taking.

Description: Here is Aaron and me in the way back of my yard. Yes, we are kissing. We are so much in love. There is Leo in the background being all dramatic, he still thinks girls are gross and kissing is nasty, but he is only 11. That will teach him not to spy on Aaron and me, when we ask him not to… P.S-This was before my b-day, thats why my hair is still long.

Description: This was such a magical day… It took place outside on top of a huge hill. It was so Romantic! I sang a couple songs, I was so nerves, but Aaron kept his eyes on me. That kept me calm, well as calm as I can be. The most wonderful thing happened that day, Aaron and me were king and queen. That was so wonderful, this was the night I will never forget.
P.S. Most of the girls got hair extenions, I miss my long hair.

[If there is a problem just tell me and I will ajust my entry :banned: ]

Sweet Sixteen - The "Anti Sweet Sixteen".
Believe it or not, that's my pink-loving sister beside me there - she really let her hair down this time, literally, and went wild at my dark themed party.

It was a blast, really! We painted out faces all weird and made wacky faces at the camera. It was way better than my Prom, a little later.

The Prom - All Sweetness and Light
For our prom, there was a definite "no alternative dress" rule, though unwritten. It was alright, a low-key affair. Way too much colour and flowers, in my opinion. Edith fit right in. I was glad it meant school was over.

Love is in the Air
This is Lucas and I, he's so sweet despite being a bad boy around everyone else. This was at the prom, as the evening was winding down. It was the high point of the whole thing.

Haha, maybe I should explain what's going on here. Y'see, for my sweet 16, I wanted to do something completely original that nobody would ever forget. And ever since I was a kid I've been a horror movie freak...so what did I do for my party?

http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/5048/14047160fg4.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

Can anyone say 'ghosts'?! Heheh, me and my friends spent the night at your standard abandoned haunted house. Oh, come on. EVERY neighborhood has one! I set up the stuff for the party the day before, so we DID get to celebrate my birthday. Well, after Donovan woke up, anyway...

http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/4853/52137799wh2.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

My first and only boyfriend is Xander Matthews. I don't know why we never hung out before, but in 9th grade, we were in the same class, and just clicked. We started dating the summer before 10th grade (and we're still going strong!).

http://img184.imageshack.us/img184/403/85801412ry8.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

Prom. Best night of any teenage girl's life. Well, not the best, but it was pretty cool!

Sweet Sixteen

There was no question about the theme of my Sweet Sixteen. It had to be a pool party, with a beach/hawaii flavor! With me being on the swim team and spending all my free time on the beach I suppose my friends kind of guessed it. I knew Rachel did - we've been best friends since kindergarten. Her icky brother Michael on the other hand, brought a beer keg to my party! That was SO unnecessary.

Puppy Love

Yes, that's me skating with... Michael Andrew Wilkes. I know I know I know. He's a disgusting jock who likes to drink beer from a keg tap and gurgle and burb. But he kisses, dances and skates like a dream and in the summer he's teaching me to surf. AND we've known each other forever and he's still exciting.

Senior Prom

I absolutely loved prom. I went with Michael (yes, still haven't got rid of him!) and his coat and matched my dress and all the rest of it. We were made Prom Prince and Princess and had a great time partying with our friends. It felt bittersweet too, knowing that soon we'd all be going different ways.

29th Jul 2007, 11:58 AM
Okay gang, here is my problem with the scoring. I have one judge who was away on vacation this past week. No big deal because they warned me ahead of time, so I was going to EJ for this round... I have one judge that is extremely ill with flu and another who just didnt respond. So currently the only set of scores I have are MY OWN, and since I am running this contest I do not think it fair or right for me to use only those scores. (I dont like judging my own contests anyway- I see it as a COI-conflict of interest.)

As well, if you have all noticed, I do not comment on anyone in particular's entry and have asked my judges to refrain from singeling out entries as well, because I think its not cool (and also kind of discouraging to other contestants) when judges/contest hosts go on and on with positive comments to some and nothing to others. (Case-in-point, I spent well over 6 hours doing an entry for one contest I am in- and that was just the pics and not counting the hours it took me to download all the crap I needed to make the pics correct. I was super proud of my entry and posted it up yesterday- and though positive comments have been made to others about their entries, nothing has been said to me. It is very discouraging indeed.)

So anyway, that is where I stand. If perhaps another judge gets back to me within a few hours today then I could at least have 2 sets of scores- which in my opinion would be the only fair way to go- then I will post. If not then, I'm just going to skip it for Round 1 and hope my judges get home, get well and get it together for the next round.

Perhaps someone out there would like to volunteer to be another EJ in case something like this occurs again...I hope not!
(By the way- just loving these Round 2 entries. Again you guys are totally getting what I mean by tell a story with your pics. Great job!)

29th Jul 2007, 6:29 PM
My entry's now compelete. And I totally understand about the scores and appreciate yo being so fair and running the contest well. :)

Edit: Ouch, only now noticed it was 2 pics from the party. Seems like my entry won't be complete until tomorrow. I'm such a ditz.

Sweet Sixteen
http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/7731/sims2ep5200707292305515wf8.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

For my sweet sixteen, I had a black and white party where everyone had to wear black and white. We had so much fun! We did sparklers and I almost burnt my friend Aubrey with one but she was okay. And by the way, that's my dad on the right behind us. He started dancing and it was so embarassing!

http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/8880/sims2ep5200707292330260bg1.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

Well my dad made up for his dancing when he and my mom got me a brand new car for my birthday present! I am so glad I am finally mobile, now i dont have to rely on my boyfriend for rides.

http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/9675/sims2ep5200707260118060tm9.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

This is my boyfriend Michael. He's a year older than me but we met because I was in an advanced calculus class. Yea, I know, I'm kind of a dork but I am with an older guy! He's still as immature as any other boy my age and I keep telling him to cut his long hair, I think it looks silly. This is us out at the park having a picnic. We love doing things outdoors.

http://img505.imageshack.us/img505/4409/sims2ep5200707262323081jh4.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

So this was my prom! This is Michael and I getting our picture taken before any dancing started. It took me so long to do my hair and makeup and I wanted it documented before I sweated it all off dancing. I actually got Michael to cut his hair and he really looked handsome.

29th Jul 2007, 11:12 PM
I would be a back-up judge, I'm fairly new here, though, i thought I should just mention that, in case.
I'm not new to the sims, I've been playing it for about a year.
I would have joined if I had been able to, I have a sim that would be perfect! Oh well, I get online just about every single day, so no worries there.
Just a suggestion : I think it would be nice if in each entry, the contestant added a small picture of their sim in previous life stages, so that you could see the progress as the sim grows up.

Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen

I decided to have a pajama party/sleepover. I got together with some of my and we err danced the night away...I know...we're still working on it.

What's a sleepover without a pillow fight? Just because I'm turning sixteen doesn't mean I can't be a little silly.

My First Love
This is my boyfriend Jay. Isn't he just the cutest? He is so kind and understanding, I love him so much. Our favorite hangout spot is his hottub where we cuddle and relax.

Senior Prom
Jay isn't much of a dancer, so it surprised me that he asked to slow dance at our prom. He was a little awkard at first, but he really got in to it. I was so elated it felt as if we were the only ones there.

30th Jul 2007, 2:52 AM
This is me and my boyfriend Dylan. We have so much fun together and have so much in common.

Ah prom. I had soooo much fun doing the smustle!

Sweet Sixteen

30th Jul 2007, 10:44 AM

30th Jul 2007, 3:31 PM

My arrival was great. My boyfriend Tommy (I know we've been together forever) drove me in my new car my parents gave me for my 16th birthday. I thought that we might just be going to a small dinner with his parents and mine, but when I arrived I got a big shock of my life. Everybody had planned a huge birthday party for me at one of the local nightclubs. You may be wondering why my hair is black and not my natural color, the truth is, is that I dyed it...well obviously you could tell that.

When we all got inside the DJ was blasting the music and being a Teenager of course meant that I LOVED IT! All of my friends and I gathered on the dancefloor and attempted the "Smussle" and obviously we aren't that good at it. We all looked like a bunch of crazed monkeys that had no idea what they were doing. That night was a night that I will never forget...it's great to have friends (and parents) like mine!

As all of you know I'm dating Tommy and we've known eachother since I was 10, but didn't start dating until I was 15. I had tons of boyfriends before him, but none of them were quite like him...He was just perfect in everyway and I totaly and completely gave my heart to him. We've been together for 2 1/2 years now and it's really exciting. In this picture we were outside throwing snowballs at eachother and while the soft snow was falling ontop of us, we felt like it would be a perfect moment to have a kiss.

My prom was absolutely beautiful! Everything was so perfect, especially since I went with Tommy. The pictures we took turned out great and that's the picture from my prom I wanted to share with you. Aren't we a cute couple? Everybody in our Highschool is envious of us. I am wearing a crown on my head because I won Prom Queen! That was another great moment in my life, my prom pictures were retaken at the end of the whole thing, so they could get a picture of me wearing the actual crown.

30th Jul 2007, 3:44 PM
I am working on my round can I get more time please?

Smiles, :)

30th Jul 2007, 5:47 PM
wah!!! dont close the round without me...just going in game to get my pics!!

30th Jul 2007, 6:48 PM
My Sweet 16

I decided to just stay home and celebrate by having a pajama party. It was so much fun all my friends were there.

Then we went to the living room and played video games as always mom always has to check up on us because of Heather she's scared she will sneak out with Billy.

This is my boyfriend Kevin, he is the sweetest guy around. we usually hang out at my house and watch t.v.

I think our prom picture came out beautiful, I look like a princess and Kevin my prince.

30th Jul 2007, 6:58 PM
My Party
I only got a small costume party since my birthday is so close to Halloween.

My big surprise was later delivered by a car dealer... I love it.

This is my boyfriend Billy. We have been dating for 2 months. We usually hang out right outside my porch since daddy doesn't trust us out alone. He's always watching us by the window thinking I don't know he's there.

My mom wasn't too happy with our prom picture she said we could have smiled, and yes we could have but we were mad at each other. I caught Billy talking to his ex Mandy and well that kinda ruined the night.

Sweet Sixteen

I had a fancy dress for my 16th birthday party - I had a great time!!

My Mum and Dad even let me drink a little bit of champagne to celebrate!

My prom was on of the best nights I've ever had- the dress was perfect and my boyfriend Nathan looked gorgeous!!

Me and Nathan just love to laze about on the beach - its our favourite things to do!!

31st Jul 2007, 11:08 AM
Hi Everyone,

So as soon as I saw a request for more time, I just left the contest open so that everyone would have a chance to get their entry in on time. The round is now officially closed and the following contestants have failed to get their entry in, so unfortunately they have been eliminated.

Catarine RueDechose
Pearl Broussard
Sofia Tucker
Audrey Tucker

That leaves 11 of you left. 5 were supposed to be eliminated this round (leaving 10 to move on), but since 4 have self-eliminated by failing to post a Round 2 entry, I am NOT going to eliminate just one person- SO that means all 11 of you remaining will be moving on to Round 3- Adulthood! I intend to have Round 2 judged and scores placed up here sometime tomorrow. I will post up instructions for Round 3 shortly.

31st Jul 2007, 5:29 PM
oops just noticed that it looks like nathan is groping esme's booby in the pic lol

and yay we all get to go through!!

1st Aug 2007, 12:27 PM
My scores have been submitted. :) Great work everyone!

1st Aug 2007, 5:06 PM
I have already talked to Misstech, but I had computer problems and they won't be able to get it back to me in aleast 2 weeks and the 4th is only one, (I am on my Aunts computer and she doesn't have sims) I am praying I get it back extra early, but Geek squad is never that nice. I really like the 3rd round, so I am very angry. Well, good luck everyone, (make sure you pray, every little bit helps)

2nd Aug 2007, 12:56 PM
Hey Everyone! Back on track with judges and scoring Yah! However one person who was listed as a judge has failed to submit scores twice now so they are being removed as a judge and SimsArtThat will be replacing them as an Official Judge.

Okay, so great Round everyone. I cannot tell you how impressed I was with all entries this round. You each created some great scenes with your photos- so congratulations to you all on that!

Here goes the scoring for Round 2-

Esme Chase- 57.0
Siobhan O'Flanaghan- 56.0
Heather Gonzales- 54.5
Sheila Perkins- 54.0
Jessica Gonzales- 52.0
Agnese Smithy- 49.5
Adelle Parker- 49.0
Alice Michaelangelo- 48.5
Tomika Pinner- 48.0
Lucille McGowan- 46.5
May Spring- 44.5

The 2 favorite entries chosen by the judges for this Round were:
Heather Gonzales & Esme Chase :D Congratulations

On a side note- condolances to any and everyone affected by the terrible 35 Bridge collapse in Minneapolis. I hope no one here has been personally touched by this horribe event.

2nd Aug 2007, 6:00 PM
Home Sweet Home

I swear I tried! It's so cliché to end up with your best friend since diapers, but apparently Michael and I were meant to be. After college we gave up, got married and built this house for us to live in! Well, had it built for us, but I did design it.

Out to Lunch

My favorite room has to be the patio. I'm an outdoorsy type (must be all that swimming and gardening as a kid :)) and from early spring to late fall we eat most of our meals out on the patio. A lot of the time it's barbeque. The kids get to run back and forth between the table and the pool and it's all cozy and relaxed.

Artist at Work

I went to La Fiesta Tech on a swim scholarship (I know it's desert but they DO have POOLS) to study architecture. For a few years I worked at a big company, but after I had Aidan and Meghan in a year I got independent and started working from home. Instead of horrible apartment blocks and office buildings I now design houses for regular people. I love it. Me being at home all the time is especially handy because Michael works long hours at his BlueWater Village restaurant - renowned for its wide selection of... fancy beers.

Reality Check

A life changing event for me was having to come to terms with the fact I was going to have two kids in a year. We really only planned on having one, and I was all for going back to work and creating a career. Spending some time with Michael and Aidan made me realise they were the best thing that ever happened to me and I began to really want the second baby, Meghan. I found a different sort of career and a way to be there for my kids and I haven't regretted my decision for a second.

To be accomplished before retirement:

1. I want to be known for designing houses that people love to live in.
2. I plan to beat my mother at the Garden Club's yearly competition.
3. I am going to, with Michael, raise our threesome, Aidan, Meghan and little Claire to be smart, well-behaving and confident and HAPPY.

Thanks for the scores! My entry is most likely complete, hope it's ok.

2nd Aug 2007, 9:02 PM
My first home. I love this place. It's just down the road from my parents. I designed it myself and I think it's so cute and so cozy!!

This is my favorite room hands down. It feels so artistic to me and I'm really getting into painting. This room inspires me. I feel energized and calm at the same time here.

During the day I'm Alice Michaelangelo, girl next door but at night I am Lady Angelo. I work at a club downtown called P.U.R.E. No one there knows my real name and I wear a wig to work. It's a lot of fun, it's like I have an alter-ego. I'm like a superhero :)

Dylan and I got married!! The ceremony was beautiful. Here's one of the pics from our album.

"What do you hope to accomplish before your retirement?"
I would really like to settle down some. I started when I bought my house and got married but I really want the whole package including kids. My mother was orphaned so I think I'd really like to adopt a child, or maybe two!

My First Home

When I went to college, I went out of state but i really missed home. So, when I graduated from college, I moved back home and got myself a little beach shack. It's nice and it might not be in the best condition but I think it's cute for just me. My older sister lives down the street and we still go to the beach where we used to go and make sandcastles sometimes. My parents moved farther inland to get away from all the tourism near the beach but they're still only a short drive away.

My Room

My favorite room in my house is my small dining room. It's a little nook off the main house and is really bright and airy. In the morning I drink my coffee and read the paper in here and it's really just a place for me to relax because these days I've been really busy working.

My Job
http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/4519/sims2ep5200708030526151xj9.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

I guess ever since i was building sand castles at the beach I've been fascinated with houses, so I became an architect. I work for a firm that mainly does large developments on beachfront properties and surrounding areas. I started out as just an assistant but now I'm my own boss and I have a team of people working beneath me. I probably work more than I should but I'm really passionate about my job and believe that great design can improve peoples' lives.

The Most Important Things...
http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/8593/sims2ep5200708030359201vx9.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

The most significant event in my life was the birth of my twins. I met my husband Bryce pretty late in my adulthood and I guess you could say my biological clock was ticking. We really wanted to have kids but time after time I wasn't getting pregnant. For a while I thought we would have to adopt but then a set of infertility treatments worked and I was pregnant with twins! I was overjoyed at the fact of having two children. Bryce is holding our daughter Gwyneth and I'm holding our son Graham. My sister is on the right, she comes over a lot to help watch the twins. They just love her and think she is the funniest thing ever.

What do you hope to accomplish before your retirement?

I've realized that I was overworking myself and now that I finally have a family, I really want to start working less and start concentrating on my family more. I want to have an active role in my kids lives and I want my kids to grow up well.

sorry about the novelesque picture comments, I kind of got carried away :)

My first home
I bought this house all on my own. I didn't look like it does now, I have remodeled it slowly but I think it looks beautiful now.

Favorite Room in the house
That would have to be my bedroom. The kids aren't allowed in here so after work I come in my room and relax while the nanny tends to the children.

At work
I made one of the extra bedrooms into a beauty salon so I could work from home. I love what I do and I am sure my clients love the work I do because they keep coming back.

Life changing event
Yes that is Billy. the older boy is my son Jesse, shortly after prom I found out I was pregnant. Billy freaked out and left me, so my parents helped me raise him until he was 4 yrs old. I then met the twins father Jack we went out a couple of times and bam I was pregnant. I never told him. The little boys name is Michael and the little princess is Michelle. A few months ago I bumped into Billy and well we started talking again, after all I never did stop loving him, I forgave him and we just got married.

What do you hope to accomplish before your retirement?

I want to have one more baby with Billy, maybe a lil girl. I also want to buy my dream home. A small house with a lake so Billy and I can enjoy life after retirement.

3rd Aug 2007, 2:43 AM
Ah I love Adelle's house. It's so cute!

3rd Aug 2007, 4:29 AM
thanks ChihoSan! There are more pictures of the inside in the favorite rooms thread.:) it's not the biggest house but i thought it was believable as a first place. it will possibly get bigger in the future...

My first home
Finally after living with my parents for 4 years Greg made enough money to put a good down payment on this beautiful home. The previous owners didn't pay taxes so we got a good deal.

Favorite Room

At work
I was a teacher but decided it would be best to stay home after the quads were born. Greg has a very high paying job so we are doing just fine right now.

Life changing event
Jr. is only 1 1/2 and I am expecting my 6st yes you heard right 6st child. this was totally unexpected, we had decided that Jr. would be our last child but birth control failed, I will be sure to get my tubes tied after this one is born.

What do you hope to accomplish before your retirement?

I hope to go back to work so i can have a job to retire from lol. I would also like to have a good savings account for each of my children.

4th Aug 2007, 7:03 PM

My first house wasn't huge, but hey it was the biggest house a girl out of college could buy. I was excited that I had finally saved up enough money to buy a house as nice as this. It was a cozy 3 bedroom, 2 bath, living room, dining room, kitchen house. I was proud when I bought it, it was one of the biggest success' in my life.

My bedroom would've had to of been my favorite room in that house. Over the years my favorite color changed to purple and well everything in my bedroom had to be purple! I wasn't sharing my bedroom with anybody, so I was happy to make it as girly as I could. I was actually so excited when I saw how the mural on the wall turned out. I also loved my room because it looked very designer-ish with all the flowers and stands.

Well my career is basically a dream career for me. I've always loved fashion and now it was my time to work with it. When I turned 21 I got an internship with "Vouge Magazine" then when I turned 23 I got a full time job as a magazine editor! I got to write a couple of stories too. A few times they would actually use to me to model off a few of the clothing brands they were going to be selling in that issue of the magazine. It's what I've always wanted and it sure does help pay the bills!

The most important day of my life was when I married Tom (Or as you guys would remember him as Tommy). I couldn't believe that we had made it to marriage. Our mothers would always sit on the porch watching us and kid around about how someday we would get married and our families would combine into one. I didn't think that, that was going to be true, until Tom proposed to me! He told me that a day without me in his life was like a whole year secluded in a cell. He loved me and our marriage proved how strong our love was. Oh did i mention that my wedding consisted of all of the stuff that was used in our little "fake" wedding when we were younger? I used the same Arch, flowers, fence, veil, and crown as i did when i was younger. 10 months after our wedding I gave birth to the first of our 5 children...She was a beautiful baby girl named Amethyst (of course after my favorite color...PURPLE!)

Q:"What do you hope to accomplish before your retirement?"
A:Before Retirement I hope to do something great that I will remembered by. I plan to donate at least 100,000$ to some sort of donation, childrens hospital, or orphanage. I really hope I can accomplish all three, but right now i'm in the process of saving up the money.

House of Dreams
When I was a kid there was this house I always passed, on the way to the ice cream truck. All the houses roundabout were white - and then this one was blue, this soft colour blue that really stood out in my eyes. I coveted that little house for years and years. When I was eighteen it came on the market and, to my delight, it stayed that way for years. It steadily became rundown, lessening the chances of it being bought. I always believed it was waiting for me to live there and, when I was twenty-four I was able to purchase my dream home at a discount price, on account of the repairs needed. I restored it and, as they say, the rest is history.

The Best Room
It probably looks plain to anyone else, but I like Spartan to the Master bedroom suits me down to the ground. I'm very proud of the wooden floors; Lucas and I set them ourselves. It was hard work, let me tell you! The room lets in a lot of light, it's airy and comfortable. My favourite.[/B]

My Job
At the moment, my job is staying home and looking after little Aaron - before that I was a music teacher at Summer camps around the country. He's a huge bundle of energy and needs near constant attention. It really is a full time job. This is a quiet moment - eating is one of the only times he isn't rushing around!

A Life Changing Moment
Lucas and I had talked about marriage a few times but that's as far as it ever went - until, one day, after papering up the windows and convincing me to stay inside our dream house. Little did I know, he'd taken care of everything, and to the suggestions we'd both discussed over the last few months. He proposed beneath the wedding arch that was erected in our large, flowery garden and the wedding itself took place the next afternoon. It was the most romantic thing anyone ever did for me.

Question time!
[I]What do you hope to accomplish before retirement?
After the childhood dreams of wanting to be an astronaut, a jockey or a female knight, my heart wandered over to painting during my latter teenage years. Since then I've wanted to open my very own gallery, complete with my own works and a few guest artists for special events.

5th Aug 2007, 11:18 PM
I already pmed Misstech, but I would very much like a extension. ( I just got my computer back)

6th Aug 2007, 1:21 AM
First Home
I have a friend in real estate, she got me this house at a very decent price. I've changed a few things, but not much. I just loved it from the time I saw it.

Favorite Room
The music room is my favorite. Playing the piano and songwriting helps me relax and unwind.

My Career
I am a nurse at Oak Village Retirement Home. Here's one of my favorite residents Mrs. Freeman reading me one of her romance novels.

Life Changing Event
One of the happiest moments in my life is when I became a foster parent to twin boys Jason and Jonas. They've brought joy to my life, it's great being a mom. It's supposed to be temporary, but I'm hoping to adopt them one day.

What do you hope to accomplish before retiring?
Believe it or not Jay and I are still dating, we just decided to hold off on marriage for a while. With the twins coming I feel I'm ready for marriage and having more children. I'm still attending school in hopes of one day becoming a surgeon. Last but not least I would like to be a famous songwriter.

6th Aug 2007, 8:32 AM
my game keeps crashing :( i'm can't complete my entry until about 12 hours time....could i get an extension?

6th Aug 2007, 11:06 AM
Since I had 2 requests for an extension, I've granted it until 12:00PM EST today..... Monday, August 6, 2007. This gives approximately 6 hours left to get those entries in! I cannot keep extending the deadline, so this is the last chance!

6th Aug 2007, 4:48 PM
Here is my dream home, I have been planning this home since I was a freshmen in High School. Unfortionaly the only way I could afford this home, was my mothers death. When she died she had wrote in her will that half of her money, was to build a home for me and my family. Ofcourse some of my own money was invested. When I was building this home I was pregnant with Madeline and Madelynn, which made a hard job even harder.

Even though this house was completly designed by, I do have a room that I absolutely love! I guess this room is offically called a sunroom, It is just so sunny and airy. When I am having a hard day a cup of lemonade and sitting in this room five minutes, just helps me relax.

My job for now and atleast untill the yougest daughter is in school, is being a mom. A job that I absolutely love, when all my kids are in school I plan to go back to be a chef and hopfully own my own Resteraunt. (Just as a fact this is my last child, and it was a GIRL again named May Jane)

The day I married Aaron, was the day that my life changed. We were so in love, we have been in love since High School. So marriage seemed just right. Little did I know that a short 10 months later I have the Twins, Madeline and Madelynn, then triplets, Miley, Michelle, and Mist then last, but not least May Jane. Every time I think of the moment we pledge to be togather till death, I get this feeling of happiness, that just sweeps over me.

What do you hope to accomplish before your retirement?
Some people might night find that a hard question, but for me it is almost impossible to answer. I mean I married the man of my life had 6 beatifull girls, and I own the House of my DREAMS. What else is left, well, I can say there will be no more kids, no matter how much we would like to have a boy, we are good with all girls. I guess to raise 6 healthy and happy girls, maybe a grandchild here or there. Open my own Resteraunt and live happily ever after.

[Hope ever thing is here and on time]

6th Aug 2007, 6:00 PM
Round 3 is now closed. Sorry to anyone who didnt make it, however, this round was supposed to end 48 hours ago. I cannot extend any longer or will risk running over my time limit. Again, I am sorry. :(

A Close-up

I much prefer photographs taken from a distance these days. Not that I don't like my wrinkles - each and every one of them comes from living a full life. I still can't believe I'm 60! Aidan and Meghan are 35 and 34 and little Claire is pushing 30 as well. Time has really flown.

Favorite Hobby

I did beat my mother at the garden club's yearly competition once. Once! But then on, she gardened for her living. For me, it's just a hobby, but it's my dearest and longest-time one. Apple trees are my favorite.

Family Holiday

This is from last Thanksgiving. I really have something to thank for - a big, happy family. There's Maeve (Aidan's), Claire, Mickey (Aidan's), me, Greg (Meghan's hubby), Aidan, Michael, Meghan, Rose (Aidan's wife), and Elle & Liam (Meghan's).

If I could change one thing...

I would have pursued my career as an architect further. I am 100 % happy with how things turned out, but still... my girls are showing me that it's possible to do both career & family. Yet, times were different back then...

My favorite stage of life...

I loved each stage as it came to me. Right now I'm in love with being retired and spending most of my time with my darling grandchildren.

I have really liked this contest - thanks for running it well, MissTech.

11th Aug 2007, 5:55 AM

With so much free time on my hands I have turned to gardening. At first I hated it my plants always died but now I know how to care for them. I get the tastiest vegetables yum yum yum.

The holidays how I enjoys them. It's the only time we all get together. here we are at Thanksgiving eating the yummy turkey I cooked up for the family. What a big family huh well let me tell you a lil about who belongs to who lol. Jesse married Krystal and have three beautiful girls Mia 13, Jackie 9., and Susie 7. Michael married Selma and have 2 beautiful daughter Natalie 6 and Vickie 3 Selma is expecting and we are hoping for a grandson. My poor girl Michelle just lost her husband 6 months ago to a car accident while she was pregnant with Faith 4 months old.

"Which has been your favorite Stage of Life and why?
I would have to say my teenage years. I was young and full of life. I love it now that I am retired too but oh how I hate that everything hurts and that I can't get around as quick as I used to.

"If you could've done anything differently in your life, what if anything would you change and why?"
I would have had that fourth child Billy wanted. I love having a big family and one more child would have been great. I would have also taken care of my face better, it's so embarrassing to see some ladies my age in this contest that are wrinkle free and I am all full of wrinkles.

So this is me. I'm in my backyard in this picture, can you believe I still live in that old beach shack? It's gone through a lot of renovations and add ons to fit our family because I couldn't bear to move when it became too small for us.

My Hobby
http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/5262/sims2ep5200708110144242ef4.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
I retired from my architecture job a long time ago and I was happy to just be with my family. When my kids grew up and moved out though, my life felt kind of empty. That's when I began giving lectures to architecture students at the local college. It may seem like a job to other people, but to me it really is a hobby. I love kids and I rembered how much I enjoyed raising my own kids and teaching them. Now I take what I know, architecture that is, and use it to teach the new generation and it really makes me happy.

http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/4983/sims2ep5200708102333055qt2.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Wow, it really gets hectic when the whole family is over for Christmas. Starting from the left standing up is my son Graham (playing with one of the kids remote control cars), next to him is his wife Veronica, next to her is my sister's daughter-in-law Stacey, next to her is her husband-my nephew Timmothy, next to him is my son-in-law Jason, back next to the tree is my sister and next to her is her husband Wilson, then next to him is me (standing next to that horrid chicken lawn ornament I got as my secret santa gift) and sitting down next to me is my husband. On the floor from the left is toddler Sarah who is Graham and Veronica's only child so far. In the back is Gwyn and Jason's teenage son Greg (with his Wii which he was very pleased with) and playing with the dollhouse (my old one) is their daughter Erica, last but not least is my daughter Gwyn playing with the dollhouse with her own daughter. Whew. That was a mouthful.

Which has been your favorite Stage of Life and why?

Well, my child stage would have to be my favorite because it was when I was really enjoying life and I was carefree and I was never stressed about anything. Once I entered high school my stress just went up from there. My whole life really has been great though.

If you could've done anything differently in your life, what if anything would you change and why?

I wouldn't change anything. Sure my life had it's ups and downs but I think that getting through all the downs is what really made the ups worth it. Everything happens for a reason and I love the way my life has turned out.

I really enjoyed this contest and I put a lot of time into this last entry. This is probably the one round where I could have utilized some extra time but just my luck this is the only round with no extensions. oh well, I understand the time crunch with contests. well I have to get to bed now it's about 3:30 in the morning here and I'm really tired. Good luck to the other contestants!

11th Aug 2007, 2:10 PM

I hope you do! :) Now that the contest is over I can tell you that yours was one of my favs since the beginning. Had several I liked (like Esme, Isabelle, Audrey, Agnese) and was really disappointed when they one by one got eliminated for not posting an entry when they were all doing so well. :(

SimsArtThat- You were a life saver! Cannot thank you enough for stepping in like you did! Perhaps, when and if my next contest gets approved, you would consider judging that one. That is if you dont enter... I submitted contest idea today, called 'The Architect', so I'll have to wait and see! Thanks again so much for all your help! :D
