Can I be a judge, please?

16th Feb 2009, 11:45 AM
This sounds like a great contest! I just have one question, will we have to write anything (besides the bio) or will we only be posting pictures each round?

16th Feb 2009, 12:09 PM
Woot. I'm here. Man, I knew I should have woken up earlier today. lol

wgroome: You will have a PM in around 2 minutes :)

novemberlove: Contestants will have to give some form of an explination to each picture. Maybe around 5 or so sentances? More of what you see fit, one picture could go with around 3 sentances while another has around 6 or 7. Paragraphs are not needed, but some explination that follows some what of a story line.

I really hope that this post makes sense, I got less than 3 hous of sleep :p
If that was unclear, please let me know, my brain at 7 AM is mush. Thanks!

16th Feb 2009, 5:10 PM
Ok, thanks! I might join this :)

(and sorry for posting, I hadn't realized you didn't check in until now!)

16th Feb 2009, 5:34 PM
novemberlove: That's totally fine, I'm glad it sparked some excitement!

16th Feb 2009, 5:36 PM
Ooh, another mommy contest! Im just trying to get my game working, if i can ill be back with my application soon.

Just 1 question. We're not going to need Simpose or anything like that are we?

16th Feb 2009, 6:01 PM
working on my app now, i have a lovely couple :)

16th Feb 2009, 6:02 PM
chowgilly: Woot, excitement on the application. lol. Simpose will definately not be needed. I'm unsure of how it even works, but if there are those out there that know, it can be used and could be helpful. There will be "posed" pictures, but Simpose is not required or anything since candid shots are also welcomed.

As a side note, but on that same topic: if there are those that know how to work Simpose, or want to achieve a certain "look" while still using sim animations, I can put a link to a pregnancy modeling agency (thank you tv) that could offer some ideas.

ashilieee_x3: I look forward to seeing your app!

Name: Ella Ashburner
Age: 22
Location: London
Father: Liam Ashburner
I started modelling for a children clothing range at the age of 11 but stopped after a year when my Mum died and my father turned to the drink. From a wealthy background, I was soon looking at higher modelling at the age of 14 when it looked like me and my father were going have to leave our mansion and find something much smaller. Unfortunately, I didn't find much work at that age and soon lost all hope. At the age of 16, my father disappeared leaving me on my own and studying. The best bet on where my father was was most probably a betting place or a pub. But 7 months later, still no news.
I met Liam when we were both 17, both taking an interest in modelling. Liam was interested in being a photographer, me, a full time model. Together we sent in photos to many agencies, magazines and shops and always took an offer of a job. By the age of 19, we were married and worked for a local, but expanding, fashion magazine, fashioning different "in" styles and clothes from independent shops. I did many fashion shows and catwalks whilst Liam worked with different models and continued to take quality photos. We were both overjoyed when I got pregnant but soon found myself unemplyed; my bosses didn't like the idea of their top model getting saggy. But I didn't mind really, yet I was going to miss the actually modelling. Lucily, Liam was bringing in a healthy wage.
Face Shot

Bump shot (Note: She is on her second trimester but in most of the pictures I took she doesn't look that big. It may be the merternity clothing she was wearing, so I clothed her in some default PJs.)

I have taken to being a complete slob nowadays whilst Liam is at work and I have the house to myself. I watch a lot of films, read some books I've been meaning to read, and I've taken an interest in knitting.

Hope that app is O.K. ^^

17th Feb 2009, 5:44 PM
Looks like a great contest, I may have to join.
Just after I ridded of my pregnant clothing hacks :( haha.
Quick little question; Is this like a modeling contest but with pregnant sims? I mean so the pictures will be like photoshoots? y/n? :)

17th Feb 2009, 7:47 PM
Unless im being blind( i often am) but im just wondering when the app deadline is? My silly comp has decided it doesn't want to let me play, so im just wondering when id have to get it done by?

17th Feb 2009, 8:02 PM
oh oh oh i so wanna join. need to sort out my game just reinstalled and everything's in a pickle. When is the closing date? can i be a judge if i cant join?

17th Feb 2009, 9:37 PM
sorry, I just got home from school but I'm on now lol

ashilieee_x3: Looking great!
Zela: It looks great!

simcharley1990: Essentially, yes they will be like photoshoots. Like I will assign a "theme" persay for the rounds and then the contestants will be moddeling it. For the most part, they will probably be "posed" pictuers unless the "look" you're going for is "posed with a candid feel." Sorry, I hope that made sense. If not, I can try to explain it better.

chowgilly: You aren't blind, I haven't posted it yet lol. Applications will be allowed through round 1. Also, at a midway point during round 1 I will most likely post the "bonus round." The bonus round is optional, and the points will go toward the overall score, not the round score. Round 1 will start on the 23rd, so there is definately still enough time :)

angel4rab: *points up* lol. There should be enough time to join if you want, but if you don't want to join then PM me. Just let me know what your decision is lol

17th Feb 2009, 9:39 PM
Ok, I'm going to use a sim that is already in game, I just finished writing the app and i'll take the pregnancy picture tomorrow hopefully. :)

17th Feb 2009, 9:44 PM
Sounds great!!

Note to everyone: This contenst should be pretty kick money. We'll have some mad fun. Also, after straining hours, I have created the prize lol. Pictures of her are posted and if I missed something/she looks like an ugly maxis sim, PM me and I'll fix her lol.
Also, I have updated the contest info with the round timing and such.

*Name: Josie Kinkirk
*Age: 29 y/o
*Location: Strangetown
*Husbands Name: Mason Kinkirk
*Bio: Josie is a small town girl. Born and raised in Strangetown, along with her 2 older sisters. Shortly after highschool, Josie decided that college didn't seem the place for her, and started waiting tables down a Jimmie's Bar. On a hot, July night, she met, and later fell in love with her husband, Mason. They now spend the days together in a 4 room home that belongs to Mason's Grandparents.

Though, Josie has no previous modeling experience, besides beauty pagents, which, actually isn't modeling, she has, however, always thought it'd be fun to model, and always enjoys watching modeling competitions on tv. This is more of an eyeopening experience for her, to better help her determine what more there is to life.

Calyspo is an actress living in Hollywood. She was born in 1984 in London, England. When she was 10 her mother died of cancer and she was sent to live with her father in Paris. With her father being a Director actress was her first choice early on. Being in her first production when she was only 12. But part of being an actress on the fast track from a young age, is being introduced to things she couldn't understand at a young age. Partying is her absolute favorite hobby, though the hang overs are abit of a turn off.

NAME Amity Knowles
Age 23
Location London
Baby's Father Felix Grey

Hi. My name is Amity Knowles. I'm 23 and I have been living In London for 4 years now. I am originally from Aberdeen in Northern Scotland and moved down here to take literature at the University of London. It was whilst studying there that I met Felix during a lecture 2 years ago. He was my best friend first and then my love, but when we found out 5 months ago that i was pregnant It turned sour. Felix is a great guy just not ready to be a great father. He offered to help out but I know his heart isnt in it, I didn't want to cage him so I let him go.

I have dropped out of Uni for the time being. I will probably go back when the baby is about a year but until then I need to concentrate on getting my life sorted in preparation for his/her arrival.

I haven't really done any modelling like this before, I do the occasional life modelling for the Art college. When I am not posing I am writing shorts for the local papers and magazines.

I am entering this competition to try and feel good about myself. To feel some self worth. Being alone and pregnant Isn't doing me any favours. I suppose I need to take my mind off it all.

Face shot

I like to sit in my apartments community garden. There is a lovely pond there and on nice days, Its a real inspiration for my writing. I have a habit of just losing myself in my thoughts. It's also nice to watch the children in the playground, reminds me what I have to look forward to.

But around 5 months ago we got our miracle and now are pregnant with our baby. I have everything I ever wanted and more.

mornindew: She's beautiful

The apps are coming along great everyone! So far we have 6 apps which is a great start, but we can do better! lol. I can't wait to see the apps that will be coming in. This is forming into what looks like a great contest!

20th Feb 2009, 3:20 AM
I'd be willing to be another emergency judge so you'll have one for every judge. I love contests. :D

20th Feb 2009, 3:26 AM
You said we can have multiple contestant entries right? I might have a friend wanting to join, but she doesn't have a S2C account. Would she be allowed to enter under my account? Also would he lack of custom content make a difference. She's kinda new to the sims.

And also thank you =] I try haha

20th Feb 2009, 3:44 AM
Emily stated in the first post that custom content is not required. However, you should ask her about your first question but I think she would be okay with it.

20th Feb 2009, 4:21 AM
MrMan212: Haha, ok, thanks!
mbunnell: Like Cheese said, custom content is not needed, it's about the way you present your sims. Some custom content might be helpful, but it's really just up to you. As to the first question, as long as there isn't a rule somewhere that says that 2 people can't share an account, it's fine with me. Multiple entries will be judged seperately so it shouldn't be a problem. :)

20th Feb 2009, 1:58 PM
Okay, I just wanted to be absolutely sure. Cause I know some judges are partial to custom content.

ill edit my old post with the new couple later tonight :) lookin good everyone

22nd Feb 2009, 8:00 PM
I am considering joining in but I am only new to this kind of thing so I will see what I can get together if I have the time. Also I have a question. How long will the contest run for? A sim is only pregnant for 3 dyas so how do I make sure she remains pregnant throughout the contest. Do I use a hack or am I supposed to make her get pregnant several times or even just not play the family during the contest.

Sorry if this is a silly question I would just like to know what the norm is for this.

Name Mischa Tilson
Age 21
Location London UK
Name of Father Erm Pass!
Bio Well, where to start. Im Mischa. I am, as the song says, a dedicated follower of fashion! Iv turned that to my advantage and am
now pursuing my dream career as a model. My wages are spent on clothes
and wild nights out with friends.
However, one particular wild night I spent with a few gentlemen friends, and am now with child.
Safe to say they wont be happening anymore,
its all nights in in front of the tv eating like a pig!
It know this isnt exactly the ideal situation, but whats done is done.
I will be providing for my child, regardless of who the father is.

Im quite surprised, I look like iv got a cute lil bump in this shot!

ash: The contest will allow 1 week for each round, so I'm guessing it will run for around 1 month, maybe less. As for the pregnancy situation: I know that with hacks and mods, you can "hold" the pregnancy at different stages. I personally use inTeen, and I know that with that you can hold the pregnancy.
chowgilly: Looking great, thanks for joining!

Round 1 will probably be up around midnight tonight. Unless I pass out before then...lol. If not, everything will definately be up tomorrow!
Just as a reminder, applications will still be open through round 1 :)

Name Belle Langford
Age 25
Location Sydney, Australia
Name of Father Mark Langford
Bio This was by no means a planned thing. We didn't even realise until I was well into my second trimester and it was actually my friend who pointed out the weight gain. Mark and I had only been a "couple" for 6 months when we found out so we were terrified at first. We decided we would take some time to think about what our options were and then discuss it. Before I had a chance to say what I felt Mark proposed and we decided to give this whole baby thing a shot.

Before finding out about the pregnancy I was just trying to break out in my modeling career and Mark was embarking on his dream job something to do with video games. I was quite jealous of him for being able to continue with his dream and was getting quite down about the situation until I was accepted for this. Ever since I have begun this I have started to really look forward to baby and afterward planning our wedding. It's giving me the chance to live out two of my dreams at once.

Mark and I are doing well so far and even he seems to be getting into the whole idea of being a dad. He says he doesn't mind if we have a boy or a girl but I secretly know he wants a boy (too bad we are having a girl and she is going to be a beautiful ballerina or something girly hehe)

I hope this is ok for the body shot. If not let me know!

This is myself and Mark starting to paint the nursery white, once we find out the sex of the baby we will choose a suitable colour. When we first moved into this house the interior decorating was just awful as you can tell from the wall paper we are covering up! Luckily interior design is one of my absolute favourite things to do and I couldn't wait to get this started. At least I can fall back on interior design if my modeling career doesn't take off.

I hope everything is ok!! If not let me know!

I hope there is not too much writing. I really suck at this type of thing but when I actually get an idea I sometimes get carried away!

23rd Feb 2009, 8:46 AM
Sorry it took so long for me to get back in here, real life took over for the past few days. I have two entries, so I hope it's not double posting.

Name: Ruby Enchanted
Age : 18
Location: Llamawood, Simerica
Name of Father: Jason Voorhees

Short Bio: Hi, my name's Ruby Enchanted and I'm originall from Wrightreal, Simada before my sister and I got a home together with our men in Llamawood. I was, um, am, an intimate apparel model. My sister and I (another contestant) both got our starts working at Simora's Secret. At an "A" party, I met my life partner, Jason Voorhees. He's a rock star -- lead guitar for the infamous Metalback. We're both so excited about the baby -- even if some people think I'm too young to be a mother.

Name: Opal Enchanted
Age: 18
Location: Llamawood, Simerica
Father's Name: Freddy Kroeger

Short Bio: Hi, I'm Opal Enchanted, here with my sister to compete for the trophy. Or should I say against her? We're originally from Wrightreal, Simada, where we were both underwear models for Simora's Secret.
I was living the celebrity life partying away when I accompanied my twin sis to a backstage party where I met Freddy Kroeger. It was lust --I mean LOVE -- at first sight. It was no time at all before my life partner put a bun in the oven. I'm a little disappointed that I can't travel with Freddy as much as before now that I'm due soon, but having my sister with me makes it good.

Ruby and Opal are twin sisters. They look a lot alike for that reason. They, in truth, only have the same hair style, nose, and head shape. If you look close, you'll see they have different eye colors, eyebrow shapes, mouth shapes and colors. And different personalities.

Yes, my twisted imagination combined two metal bands with two horror flicks to get the boyfriends. I'll let you figure out the twist to my girl's names.

Simada is Canada. Simerica is the United States. Wrightreal is Montreal. Llamawood is Hollywood.

All entries are looking amazing!

Here comes Round 1...and apps are STILL open through the round:

-Starts: February 23, 2009
-Ends: March 3, 2009

We are kicking it off by keeping it comfy and casual!
You have all booked photoshoots to show off your favorite casual wear (but please, no pjs)
-There will be 3 photos for this round.

Your first shot will be of you "posing" in your casual wear against a solid color background. This may be any color that you want. The focus of this photo is your pose. You want to sell this outfit, so wear it to your best :)

Your second shot will be more fun. Your photographer has caught you goofing off and ended up catching a really cute picture of you having fun while in your outfit. This picture should have the same solid background as your last picture.

Your last shot will be of you modeling your outfit while on a "set." You may choose the set that you want to show yourself on, whether it be a living room, a kitchen, outside, anywhere. While this picture should still have you in a "pose," it should be more natural, to show the "buyers" that this outfit is functional and comfortable for pregnancy.

-Casual wear should not be the type of clothes that you "lay around the hosue" in. But have fun, and keep your model's personality in mind.
-Your model should still be in her second trimester.
-Please have a few sentences to go with your pictures. Whether it be talking about why you chose that perticular outfit, or maybe describing your model's emotions while on a photoshoot. These should be done in first-person (i.e. You would write, "I was so nervous, today was my first photoshoot, etc). Or you can have your sim talk about how it feels to be a pregnant model, it's all up to you, but your sim's personality should shine though.

-In the title of your post, please write your sim's name and which round it is to help the judges.

-Just as a reminder, custom content is not needed. If you use the default maternity clothes, I have full faith that, in the words of Tim Gunn, you can "make it work" :)

-The Bonus Round will be posed on February 26.
-Have fun!
-If you are looking for ideas of poses that you would want to try to immitate or get an idea of what pregnancy modeling is, PM me and I will give you a link to a website. Or if it's easier for everyone I could just post it here.

Rounds one sounds great! Cna't wait till I get started :)

23rd Feb 2009, 10:17 PM
This may be a silly question, but the poses, do they have to be stood up/sat etc or is it entirely up to us?
Iv pm'ed you Emily.

23rd Feb 2009, 10:32 PM
chowgilly: Any pose you want is ok. Whether it's sitting down, standing up, anything. And I've just PMed you back ;)

23rd Feb 2009, 11:33 PM
Well, it's probably a bad thing to post my entry so soon, but, I have tons of things to do this week, including finishing up another contest, and running my own... and homework, so, I needed to go ahead and get this out. Hope it's atleast "ok".

Round 1: Josie Kinkirk

Wow! My first big photoshoot! I've never been at a photoshoot, much less at a pregnant one, but, it was really fun. In this shot I was still warming up to the whole camera deal, but, it didn't take long. I think that this shot turned out really well though. It only took like . . . um . . . maybe 3 preshots to achieve this?!

What a silly camera man. I told him that "Hey, I'm pregnant. Give me a break." Then he told me not until I did something fun. What is fun I wondered? Then I decided to make a silly face at him, then run . . er wobble off to the ladies room as fast as I could go! Once again, silly camera man!

This was by far my favorite pose and shot! It was nice to get away from the green-screen and just relax a little in a more friendlier place. For where I live, this shot just shows that my outfit is the perfect thing for all of us pregnant moms-to-be. Stay cool, calm, relaxed, with room to breathe, and get a great tan - all in one!

Again, not the best, but, I've never been in a modeling contest, so, I wont know what you expect until Round 2.

24th Feb 2009, 2:42 AM

I hope that helps

Quick question; What would you describe casual as? Because i'd say casual is what I 'lay around the house in' but you said thats not allowed. :/ Because what you might think is casual, I might not- I'm only asking so i don't get told off when it comes to judging :)

24th Feb 2009, 7:26 PM
Okay so it's this was the first photoshoot I've done since I found out I was pregnant. I was kind of nervous to begin with then, I got alittle more excited. Heath, the photographer, left me with a choice of 3 outfits. One from my own closet, one from another model's closet, or one of his choice. And of course I chose one from my own closet. This was my favorite outfit of all time. It was also the first maternity outfit I bought. I got it from XXI Forever for 30 dollars, the jeans from Macey's for 60 and the shoes from Rue 21 for 20. I thought it was pretty affordable, for all the real mom who kept an eye out for these pictures.
Midway through the photoshoot Heath decided to put on "beat it" by micheal jackson and I couldn't help but to start dancing and laughing. He totally caught me off guard with this one. But I loved how it turned out.
After the shoot was suppose to be over, I thought I would make some lunch for me and the crew. While I was cooking Heath thought he'd snap a picture to show that "moms could where the outfit and still do every day things like cooking, cleaning, or just hanging out". I thought it was a good idea too.

24th Feb 2009, 11:05 PM
To be honest, i was so glad to be back on set doing what i love. It keeps me busy and stops me filling my face constantly.
I chose this outfit for a couple of reasons.

1.It shows off my bump nicely, and isnt restricting.
2.I dont think that being pregnant means having to wear big tents and cover up your bump like some mums to be, you can still be pregnant and look great.

This was a shot of me goofing around with the people on set. One of the lighting guys was trying to breakdance, and was terrible, so i decided to bust a few moves, show him how its done!

He also said he wanted to show that the outfit is practical, as well as looking good. I invited the photographer to my home, and he told me to just go about my day normally, as though he wasnt there.
So, he a got a picture of me cleaning in my kitchen, he said it was very natural.( I think he was just trying to look down my top!)

25th Feb 2009, 1:32 AM
Lookin' good guys!

simcharley1990: Casual wear is pretty much what you want it to be, just not like pjs or sweats. It could be jeans and a top or tank top, or it could be a comfortable skirt or dress. It's pretty open, but a nice enough outfit that your sim would be "selling" the clothes. I would say just nothing overly formal (like no ballgowns lol) and nothing "baggy or pjs." (So, no sweat pants or anything lol)

I hope this helps. If not you can PM me or something and I can try to explain it better

Edit: (I didn't want to double post)
In case you haven't seen, I would just draw attention to the new prizes that have been added. Thanks so much to Pux-80's and BR_FI!!

-I have also extended Round 1 by one more day so that more time will be given for the bonus round

25th Feb 2009, 6:51 AM
I loved doing this photo shoot and sharing it with my new "baby bump". With my wonderful partner watching, the photographer was really good about letting me sit down and rest.

TA-DAR!!! Looking and feeling good in the clothes. Who wouldn't want to be wearing this.

Ahhhh!! Just laying back, feeling good and enjoying my "baby bump". These clothes just make me feel so comfortable.

25th Feb 2009, 4:48 PM

It hasn't even been a really long time ago when I last modelled and when I got "let go" from work, I wasn't that upset. But... it's strange, modelling again, it feels almost a relief. For once I can be "This is me. Deal with it."

I chose this outfit as it really makes you (me) feel good. It is something I would normally wear, but it has a little room to move about during this delicate stage/time. I was wondering what to wear. I have loads of scruffy lounging maternity clothes at home. I was lucky enough to find this outfit.

I love this one. It really shows off the outfit from the right angle. Liam came to meet me and he had to be the romantic. It shows the model (me) is enjoying herself and isn't uncomfortable. If you look at it, it almost looks like my hand is about to rest on my perfect and beautiful baby bump.

Ha, Liam thought of this one. Him and the camera man (Jim) are acquaintances, so Liam manged to persuade Jim to let Liam take this one. The "fighting" spirit and the baby room combo. I can't wait to actually use the room... Just a few more months!

25th Feb 2009, 6:36 PM
I can't really put how i felt in to words, the best/only word i can use is petrified! i started the morning with alful sickness and my tummy in nots, i got a outfit out of my own closet and made my way to the shoot. when i got there a young man (maybe 2 - 3 years old than me) came other and introduced him self.
Name: Adam.
work title: Photographer, 1st day!
we spent along time talking he wanted to know my background and were i saw my further going, once i had finished, he came in carring avery nice outfit...........................................................
i loved my self in it, clothes like this were what i had always wanted and now i was on my way to getting them!
the fun photo was a really hard one, with the background i came from i didn;t really have time for "fun" but adam helpped me loads, he asked how i felt in wearing these clothes and i replyed powerfull! he then told me to put it in to a pose and i need up flexing.
we tryed many diffrent sets, beach, forest, nurserys and other stuff, but non of it felt right, then we walked past a set for some new film, i sat in the chair and felt right at home, it only took one shot and in my eyes it looks amazing!

25th Feb 2009, 7:15 PM
Wow! Everybody's entries are great! I'm going to do mine tomorrow :)

25th Feb 2009, 10:43 PM
Name: Kris Gordon (Kris is short for Kristin)
Age: 25
Location: Lorna Valley
Name of Mommy: Kailey Gordon
Short Bio: Me and my wife have been married for 5 years when we realized that we both wanted a baby. Well, we then realized, the only way that was possible, is if we asked a relative (male) to donate, so the baby can, at least, be related to her mother in some way, shape, or form. He gladly accepted and I am now in my second trimester. We are so gracious for this and we are definitely hoping for a boy.

Ignore my geekiness. My wife put me up to this. She's the photographer.

This baby makes me so much more confident in myself. I never thought it would be like this.

Here I am catching butterflies. Fresh air never hurt anybody. :D

25th Feb 2009, 11:53 PM
My wife told me to wear whatever I felt the most comfortable in. I wore this outfit so much before the pregnancy and I will, more than likely, wear it more throughout it. It's great when the baby starts to push on my belly, as the clothes are stretchable.

My playful side came out during the photoshoot and we all couldn't stop laughing our butts off. My wife was telling me that the baby has gotten to my head, whatever that means. Maybe it's her way of telling me the baby might be just as silly as me.

I love nature (if you haven't noticed yet). My wife then told me to do something that I love to do, so I started bird watching. There are so many different birds out in the world, sometimes, it amazes me.

26th Feb 2009, 6:56 AM
I was quite uncomfortable when I first arrived at the photoshoot. I mean I had been to several beforehand but none were as professional as this one. One thing I find absolutely necessary to have a great session is knowing about what I am trying to sell and making sure it is something I believe in. I sat down with a few of the representatives and they explained about the new line I would be modilling and how they felt pregnancy was such a beautiful part of being a woman and there is no reason that our clothes shouldn't show this at the same time as being comfortable and non-restrictive. The whole way through the conversation I was agreeing with everything they said. It made me so much more comfortable when I saw the product and how great the quality is. We decided that a relaxed yet still partially posed shot would be best and this is what we got.

Because of the relaxed feel of the whole shoot it allowed all of us to get to know each other and joke around. I am quite an animated person and whilst sharing a joke with the whole team I decided to demonstrate what I was trying to explain, little did I know the photographer decided to take a shot and it turned out great. It really shows how comfortable I was feeling in the outfit and how much it allowed me to move around.

For the last shot we decided to go down to the local park with a model a lot younger than me. Drew is 2 and a 1/2 and REAL handful, we felt he was perfect for this photoshoot. So many women who will be wearing these clothes will have something to do with young children whether they are their own, a relative or someone else and what better way to test out the outfit than chasing around a toddler. Whilst I was getting a bit flustered by the end of it, the clothes were great, I still felt comfortable and as though I could move and I still felt great about the way I looked. I think the only thing that was really getting tested was my patience for a toddlers temper tantrums and stubborn attitude.

Belle: "Let go drew, it's time to go home"

I can't wait to recommend these clothes to my pregnant friends!

26th Feb 2009, 5:21 PM

-This is due by the end of the round if you choose to do it

I'm so sorry this is so late!

27th Feb 2009, 4:12 AM
-WOW! I love, love, love this shot! I was so amazed at the quality that the photographer was able to offer, and for free! Out of all the pictures I've taken, this was, by far, my most favorite! I liked how I was still able to wear a cute bikini while taking this, it made it much more fun. With this being said, I hope that all pregnant mothers see this shot, and are inspired to spice up their summer attire with something ultra cute, such as a red polka dot bikini!

28th Feb 2009, 10:17 PM
This is one of my favourite outfits, and not just for maternity. This is actually one of my casual outfits from when I wasn't even pregnant. I don't think mothers to be should worry about where they are going to get comfy fashionable maternity wear. Shop where you always do! Just pick the right styles. My low rise hipster skinny jeans fit perfectly under my little bump, my floaty top skims in all the right places and you can get shrug cardigans everywhere at the moment! As a student I just don't have the funds to buy all my clothes out of Mothercare or Mamas and Papas and I wouldn't want to. You can do far better heading to your usual Topshop or Primark!

I felt fantastic during the photoshoot. I loved being pampered! Getting my make up done and my hair styled. It really is what any mother to be needs to feel better about herself and I am sure there are a lot of women that would agree. I was really worried about feeling uncomfortable but Mike the Photographer was great, he even gave me his number... :P

I was absolutely mortified when this happened. Mike had cracked some joke about Jelly babies and frogs when the shoot had ended and it had resulted in me in this rather undignifying scenario. Ever tried holding it in when your bursting with laughter? Well, Its ten times more difficult to keep it in there when your expecting. Needless to say, I never called Mike. Not my style in this condition anyway. Tena lady, here I come!

This outfit is great for shopping and meeting up for coffee with your friends but its also fabulous for lounging in front of the fire with a horlicks and some books not to mention a faithful companion.

28th Feb 2009, 11:27 PM
Sorry, been a hectic weekend (Big sisters wedding meal) and have fianlly gotten my computer sorted. I will have my new app round 1 and bonus round done either tonight or tomorrow.

1st Mar 2009, 1:40 AM
AHHHH! This is the life....floating peacefully on my back with my "baby bump" proudly showing. After all those busy days on photo shoots Gabriel thought it might be nice to relax floating in the pool. Of course he couldn't resist taking a picture! LOL! I love floating in my pool, all the stars on the bottom and sides make me feel like I'm floating in space. Pure heaven and relaxation.

1st Mar 2009, 3:51 AM
After we were done getting all of the "official" shots out of the way the photographer asked if I wouldn't ind posing for a few other shots. He is working on building a new portfolio and needs some photos for it. In return he offered to give me some prints at no charge. I was ecstatic. We discussed what we wanted and I decided that I would love for Mark to be a in the shot as he is such an important part of this pregnancy. We had so much fun taking this shot and I think it turned out great! Especially after the phtographer did some neat touch-ups

P.S. Sorry the photoshopping is so bad I did it on a laptop.

1st Mar 2009, 2:33 PM
Iv updated my app with my new sim momma to be, will update round 1 and do my bonus round tomorrow. Hope thats ok

1st Mar 2009, 3:35 PM
This shoot for me was mega fun! I haven't done any shoots in a month or two because of my growing bump. I’ve done shoots while pregnant but with a mixture of breathing in (but not too much so that you can see my rib cage!) and airbrushing. But, there is only so much that air brushing can do! So I was told by my agent to start my maternity leave from my 'glamour/sexy' shoots, but thankfully just because I’m pregnant it doesn’t mean that my career has to end and some magazines and adverts want real pregnant models.

A few other girls at the shoot were all fussing over where they can buy designer maternity wear and whether it slims their bumps or not- I’m actually wearing a simple but nice outfit from high-street store H&M, they have a great maternity section. My mum actually helped me pick it out - she said she wore types of dresses like this all the time when she was pregnant with me and my brother and they made her feel all snug. I fell in love with it as soon as I tried it on – it’s soft and comfy, it’s practical, and it has room to expand and that means I can wear it through the whole of my pregnancy, all I have to do it loosen the ties as my bump grows. I love this shirt-type dress so much because I can wear it with simple sandals on the beach or to shopping but I can also wear it out for a meal if I dress it up with some heels and some classy jewellery.

The photo shoot went great- I have worked with the photographer before so I was certain the picture would look good. My make-up artist, who is with me at all of my shoots, was completely supportive through-out the shoot. Giving me a smile and thumbs up with I was naïve about the poses. Nate was also there, he was assuring me at all times aswell. He was a complete goof ball- I had consoled in him about my nerves and the whole time he was making silly faces to rise my spirits and during my break he was pushing a pillow up his top and doing an impression of me, the photographer, Jerry, had caught my giggle-fit on camera and said he’d like to use one of my ‘laughing-bump’ pictures in the magazine article.

Like I said, this outfit is practical, comfy and just plain awesome and you can wear it anywhere, like the beach for example.

Everything is looking fantastic everyone! Currently I'm in Florida but I should be home tomorrow, don't worry lol
Although, there is a slight chance that I could be snowed in here, but we will cross that bridge if I come to that. But I should be home tomorrow and the contest will go on normally and everything will be great :)

2nd Mar 2009, 9:55 AM
Round 1

And to think, Opal and I thought we'd just be lolling about waddling like a duck while blimping out. We got a job offer through a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend . . . you know how it goes out here in Llamawood. The boss man said whatever we modelled we got to keep, so being me -- the girl that loves pink -- I had to have this comfy sweater with the pink flowery branch design all over it. Yea for pink! The jeans have cool flower embroidery, too, making this a great outfit for relaxing and going out and about.

Oh! That photog! He caught me hamming up some Hamlet. Here I am overacting, "To be or not to be . . . " I believe I be pregnant and silly looking.

Not only is this a nice outfit for at-home, shopping, visiting or having company, it's great for outdoor activities -- like walking the dog. I feel so feminine and pretty wearing my new apparel. I feel like I could glide along like a wood nymph instead of waddling like a duck.

Bonus Round 1

My favorite little nightie. I can even wear it with my bump. Ahhhh, so sleek, so sexy, so just right for cuddling in front of a fire with my man.

2nd Mar 2009, 9:56 AM
Round 1

I love this dress. You remember I said I love traveling? Well, instead of a bunch of fussing with buttons and bows, a girl can just pull this classy number over her head, strap on a belt and be on move. The belt makes me feel more, oh, what's the word? Cocooned? I like clothes that hold my bump, makes me feel like my baby is snug inside me all the more.

Freddie was over on the sidelines wolf-whistling at me. That goofy photographer caught me unawares as I blew this dorky kiss at my boyfriend. I hope this never goes public.

I feel like I look my best, bump and all, in this dress. It'll be perfect for all a woman's daily activites from picking up around the house to picking up a few items from the local market.

Bonus Round 1

No sitting in front of the tube eating truffles for me. When I'm at home and looking for some relaxation, I hit my garden. Nothing like some sun and fresh air to revive your body and your spirit. Needless to say, if I'm going to get grubby, my favorite getup is my bibs. Freddy's such a worry-wort. He carries out all the pitchers of water saying they're too heavy for me. What a man.

2nd Mar 2009, 3:33 PM
Iv always been a bit of a water babe, i love swimming or just lazing by the pool, but i know pregnant women arent meant to get too much sun, so iv taken to having a late night swim before bed in my (heated) pool. Its so nice, with the reflections on the water, my tiki lamps lit and theres nothing better than laying in the pool looking up at the stars, telling my lil bump all about them.

2nd Mar 2009, 4:09 PM
Liam had prepared a romantic candle-light dinner, but he had to cancel as he had a last minute photographing booking. So instead, we took the time we had and he set up a beautiful picnic... in our back garden. We got all dressed up, all formal, and I just lay in his arms as some guy struggled with a lot of difficult equipment to take this picture to the right angle. Luckily the guy cleared off so that me and Liam could have some time together.

On the bonus shot, do you want it to be the outfit they wore for the "Photoshoot" or something different?

2nd Mar 2009, 11:38 PM
mbunnell: Your model can be wearing (or not wearing) anything she wants. It's totally open to your imagination!

Side Note:
I'm home so have no fear, the contest will go on as normal without me being stuck in florida lol

Glad you made it home okay. My cousin is still stuck in D.C.

2nd Mar 2009, 11:57 PM
Deatherella: Thanks! Yeah, D.C.'s got some snow. We don't like the snow very much so everything shuts down. Sorry about your cousin!

3rd Mar 2009, 12:03 AM
Don't be -- she's not. She said today she just wishes a few restaurants would've stayed open. She's on a mission. I sent her off to find me a teacup and saucer set saying Washington DC to add to my collection.

3rd Mar 2009, 1:53 PM
Deatherella: Haha! That's so cute! I love collecting stuff. I hope she finds it!

Alrighty everyone, it is crunch time lol. You have until 11:59:59 PM on my side of the world (Eastern Standard Time) to get all those apps and round entries in. I look forward to any last additions.
Also, to make things easier on everyone so you all aren't counting the time on your fingers, here is a countdown:

Woot, I'm excited!

3rd Mar 2009, 4:34 PM
So after the shoot, Heath and I decided to shoot some pool. He kept doing trick shot after trick shot, and pretty much massacring me. Then when I was totally focused and paying him zero attention he snapped this. I've got that "this is serious business" look.

3rd Mar 2009, 5:49 PM
"When the photogrpagher said he would do a couple of personal shots for me- free of charge, I happily took his offer on.
I wanted a tasteful but sultry pose of just me and my bump."

Sorry it's not totally what you asked for but I had run out of ideas! But I suppose it's better than nothing. :)

3rd Mar 2009, 10:57 PM
Name: Aliena 'Allie' McFork
Age: 30
Location: The Valley, Earth
Name of Daddy: George McFork
Short Bio: I meet George McFork on the spaceship Quadranticle eight years ago, I worked there as the head mechanic. I remember when I ran into George for the first time, I felt this connection instantly and since that day there has only been the two of us. We lived and worked on Quadranticle, side by side, but when I found out that I was pregnant with our love child we decided to move to The Valley, Earth, so that our child can grow up surrounded by nature.

[Round 1]
I was really nervous when I parked my car outside the studio, I mean, I've never done anything like this before. Fonzie, the photographer, calmed me down and really made me feel comfortable with my little bump.

We decided that I should wear something fun and casual. I really loved the green apron and the sweater was so comfortable, I could wear it all day long.

I was so happy when Fonzie said that I should show the outfit in an everyday situation. George isn't to fond that I do heavy lifts when I'm pregnant, I tried to tell him that my species are strong as bullocks, but no, he said that I weren't allowed to tinker during my pregnancy so I began sewing after we settled down on Earth. I think it's something every pregnant woman should atleast try once.

[Bonus Round 1]
Fonzie called me the other day and said that she could come over and take some pictures to document my pregnancy. I wasn't sure if I should share this picture with you, but George said that it was the picture that really represented me as a woman.

4th Mar 2009, 4:51 AM
Round 1 is officially over. Now it's really time to get this thing started. I have already PMed the judges. I will try to put up round 2 tomorrow. There will be no eliminations for round 1.

If you submitted an app, but did not submit a round entry: You may post it late (meaning you have another day) but since I was not PMed for an extension, 3 points will be taken off of the total score, not the round score. I hope that seems fair...You should still be able to participate, but late entries aren't the best.

Yup yup, amazing entries everyone! I can't wait to see how this all goes! And I'll put up the results of the juding as soon as I have everything :)

4th Mar 2009, 5:55 PM
( First off I would like to say that I am sorry for my round 1 being late. I had these pics done since last wednesday. I plan on putting them up last Thursday but Time Warner was having problems in my area. Which means I had no internet or phone until this morning. ugh. It is now up and running so here in my round 1.)

I haven't model in such a long time. I forgotten how much fun it was and still is. I must say that having a prego belly made it a little hard. I had to focus on making my baby bump show. But I think the picture came out really well.

We were having a 10 minute break and I was trying to make my husband laugh. So I decided on doing a little free style. I had no idea that the photographer was still taking pictures.

So they wanted a natural scene for this pic. I invitied them back to my house.( Between you and me I was just craving some mac and cheese.) I started cooking. While I was checking to make sure my noodles where done... he snap this picture.

The photographer asked my hubby if he could take more pictures for free. Of course my Honey bear said yes. Of course by then I had fallen asleep in the study. So the photographer decided to take some pics while I was sleeping.

5th Mar 2009, 10:59 AM
Are you posting the next round before or after scores for the first one?

5th Mar 2009, 11:51 AM
I was going to post the round before I have the scores up. But some judges gave comments that were very helpful, so I will be posting both the scores and the round tonight :)

5th Mar 2009, 2:26 PM
I'm really looking forward to Round 2!

7th Mar 2009, 12:50 AM
When are we getting round 2?

7th Mar 2009, 1:11 AM
I'm still waiting on some scores, but as soon as I have them I will post them and round 2. Since round 2 will have an elimination, I figured that seeing the scores and some comments would help with the round entries.
Hopefully I will have the scores soon and it'll be up within minutes after that :)

7th Mar 2009, 5:02 AM
Would it be possible to post the round 2 anyhow and then give the people a choice as to whether or not they wit for feedback. I don't want to be a bother but my week is filling up really fast and if I don't get the chance to work on it soon IDK that I will be able to continue with the contest.

7th Mar 2009, 1:16 PM
It's cool that the judges have comments that are helpful, but perhaps post the next round anyways so we can start working on it/thinking about it? Plzzzz! Im bored :P

7th Mar 2009, 2:18 PM
Yes, I do agree with the others. Although judging comments can be helpful, I personally am doing the best I can, thus, I don't know how much better or different I can do things.

But, pictures are easy to retake, so, I think that anyone would be able to go back in and correct something like that, since they would already know what they would be doing :)

7th Mar 2009, 5:19 PM
As per popular demand ;)

-Starts: March 7, 2009
-Ends: March 14, 2009

You just got a call from the biggest magazine out there for pregnant people, Sim-ply Pregnant Magazine!
You have booked the cover and a spread in the magazine (not just an ad!)
-Their photographer will be taking 3 pictures, but there is an optional 4th picture that could be added in.
(i.e. 3 photos for this round with an optional 4th one)

Your first shot will be your cover shot! You may be wearing any article of clothing that you choose! They have provided you with racks of stunning clothing that you get to choose from! (And the best part is, you get to keep what you choose!) This photo will be centered around your pose, you will need to look your best as a woman!

Your second shot will be a photo for your spread. You will be wearing a different outfit from your cover shot. This photo will be focused on you with your bump! Flaunt the bump, ladies! While you will need to be "posed" in a way that your bump looks it's best, this should seem more "natural" and the pose should have you look maternal and loving over your bump. But your face will still need to be seen!

Your third shot will be you in your newly decorated nursery. The photographer has come to your house to shoot this. The focus is still on you, not the nursery. But, you (in a different outfit) should be enjoying the nursery and be comfortable in it.

The optional fourth shot is a free shot. You may be doing whatever you want in a different outfit than the others. This will be added in with your spread, so a different, funky pose would be a great addition. But it's a free shot, so you may do whatever you like!

Well, they couldn't just let you take some pictures without some form of interview!
Here are the interview questions that you must answer:

1) How does it feel to be a pregnant model?
2) How have you gotten support from your family over your pregnancy?
(If you have gotten support. If you have not recieved support, why not?)
3) What have you done to prepare for your upcoming newborn?
4) Do you know yet if it is a boy or a girl? Or if you're expecting multiples?
5) Any names picked out yet? If so, what are they?
6) What advice would you give other pregnant models?
7) What adice would you give other pregnant women?
(note: last 2 questions are different, please have different answers. They are very different questions)

-You must be wearing different outfits in each picture
-Your model should still be in her second trimester
-Please have a few sentances to go with each picture and each interview question
-In the title of your post, please have your sim's name and which round it is
- Your cover shot does not acutally need to "look" like a magazine cover, but if you want to make it be an actual magazine cover you are more than welcome to
-Have fun!

-There will be no bonus round for Round 2
-This is an elimination round so good luck to everyone!
-Always remember to have fun with it! :)

7th Mar 2009, 5:25 PM
round 2 sounds totally awesome. I am glad you posted it today, as, it seems like it might take a while to do :)

7th Mar 2009, 5:33 PM
No problem! I hope it doesn't take up too much time, you all do have lives to live lol
But I hope you have fun with it!

To everyone:
If it seems like everything is overwhelming and is going to take up too much time, PM me and I'll try to alter things so it's less stressful. And remember, that fourth picture is optional, you don't have to do it lol

7th Mar 2009, 5:59 PM
Round 2 sounds great!
Buttt atm i'm having PC issues and can't log onto the internet and the pc im on atm is my brothers and i'm not even suppost to be on it lol :p So hopefully my pc will be fixed in time for me to do an entry. I'm crossing my fingers that I don't have to drop out. ;)

Awesome..I like the whole interview thing! Going to be fun! *starts to wrack brain...*

8th Mar 2009, 12:13 AM
"As a pregnant model, I have learned so much. I have learned how to take care of myself, and how to make sure I don't overdo anything. This covershot is basically me telling mothers everywhere that it's ok to take a breather once in a while. Though we all have busy lives, caring for your unborn should be right beside caring for yourself . . . at the top of the list."

"I adore my little one already, even though s/he isn't even born yet. Nothing pleases me more than to feel its little feet thumping inside of me. I find myself frequently holding onto my stomach, just hoping that it will kick at that exact momment."

"I adore the nursery, which is an add-on, thanks to my husband, Mason. I like to go in there and spend countless hours, just sitting and dreaming away. I suppose that I just can't wait until I spend sleepless nights in there, strange as it seems."

"Just me, saying another goodbye and goodnight to another day. I am yet one more day closer to the day I've awaited for so long."

1.) How does it feel to be a pregnant model? "I genuinely adore the opportunity really. It's definately not everyday that one gets to model, and definately not while pregnant. Although sometimes the pressure can be overbarring, it really is something that I'm glad I took part in."

2.) How have you gotten support from your family over your pregnancy? "My husband, Mason, has been my main supporter. He is always there for me, no matter the occasion. No matter how tired he may be, he always finds the strength to care for my every need, reguardless of what it may be."

3.) What have you done to prepare for your upcoming newborn? "My main thing has been staying healthy and happy. Being my first child, I really had no idea what to expect, but, I do know how to keep myself in a healthy state, pregnant or not. I've also started to child proof the house, and have started to stock up on expensive neccessities. My husband has even went out of his way and built a gorgeous nursery for our baby to be."

4.) Do you know yet if it is a boy or a girl? Or, if you're expecting multiples? "No, I do not know yet what the gender of my baby is, or, if it's just one baby. My husband and I decided that we wanted to keep all of this secret, until the delivery, and quite frankly, I like it better this away. :)"

5.) Any names picked out yet? If so, what are they? "I myself, love cute, fun names like Stephanie and Stephen. My husband, on the other hand, likes the names Elizabeth and Brendon. While we are still undesided, I feel that he will go for something that I like, and, he'll have to learn to like it too, he'll have no choice!"

6.) What advice would you give other pregnant models? "My main advice is to take care of your self on the set. Take frequent breaks, and don't try to do any poses that you can't handle. Don't settle for what the photographer wants, make the photographer settle for what you want."

7.) What advice would you give other pregnant women? "Basically, as I've said before, take care of yourself. Besides that, just have fun. Many women will not experience pregnancy a second time, so, enjoy it while you can. Live everyday to its fulliest, and, make sure that you fulfill any goals that you had while you were still without a new born."

-Sincerely yours, Josie Kinkirk ♥

clw8, hope you like it!!

Cover Shot
I just LOVE talking to my baby bump, I can feel the baby start to move around a lot more and kick harder when it hears my voice. We thought this shot taken when I was talking to my bump was perfect because this issue focuses on the benefits of it.

Flaunt The Bump
What better way to flaunt my bump and sexy pregnancy body than in a two piece beside the pool. Hopefully other women will see that we can still look good when we are pregnant. It was also a great way to show women reading that I do the same things as them.

I often stand in the nursery and imagine it with a baby in there. It's amazing to think that soon there really will be a baby in here. I often spend a lot of time in here straightening up and worrying that I don't have everything too!

Free Shot
Each night before bed I sit down and fill in my baby book. I think it will be a great keepsake for the little one as they get older and we can start adding to it together eventually. For now I add things such as how I feel and weird cravings I have.

1.) How does it feel to be a pregnant model? It's wonderful! I love having the chance to share the whole experience with so many people. It helps me feel better about my body and the changes I am experiencing. It's quite liberating.

2.) How have you gotten support from your family over your pregnancy? Neither mark or myself have much family around however, they have been wonderful. I have received a lot of gifts to get the nursery up and running and Mark's mum has offered to cook some meals for us once the baby arrives. My mother has offered to come and stay fr a few weeks as well to keep up the housework while Mark and I get used to being parents. I cannot say enough about Mark. I could not ask for anything more he practically waits on me hand and foot.

3.) What have you done to prepare for your upcoming newborn? We have stocked up on everything we could possibly need and still are. I get so paranoid that we won't have something or we will runout too quickly, we may have too much but I don't think you can ever have enough when it comes to a newborn. Mark and I have both taken a parenting course together and are also attending classes that will help throughout the birth. We have both also taken a child first aid course. Mark has applied for leave from work and once this modeling contract is up I will be a stay at home mum!

4.) Do you know yet if it is a boy or a girl? Or, if you're expecting multiples? I am not sure of much as I didn't want to find out. Mark on the other hand knows everything and he has been a bit hesitant in the way we have decorated. I get paranoid about the colour but he always jokes "How do you know it's the wrong colour maybe it's just too small!" That worries me a little but he is just teasing.

5.) Any names picked out yet? If so, what are they? Yes we have narrowed the names down to two of each sex and we will see which one suits the baby once they are born. For girls I chose Mia and Mark chose Caitlyn and for boys my choice was Eli and Mark's choice was Quinn. It may just change all together once the time comes though!

6.) What advice would you give other pregnant models? Take it easy and don't push yourself too far. Make sure you enjoy the experience it's wonderful and take the advice of any other models you come across they know what they are talking about especially the few who have done this all before. Make sure you know what you are comfortable with and don't let anyone make you do something you don't want to. Be proud of your baby belly! Drink plenty of water, rest and eat often. If you need to take time off then do it. You and your baby are more important than the photo's.

7.) What advice would you give other pregnant women? I am only new to this too so I do not have too much advice but like I said be proud of your belly and the bod you develop whilst pregnant. Being pregnant is a wonderful and amazing thing and you should enjoy it as much as you can it's not something you can experience whenever you want. As women we are lucky to be able to experience it so make sure you do. Look after yourself and do what you can to make sure your baby is healthy. Take in as much advice as you can but only use what you agree with. don't let anyone push you into doing soething differently becuase many people will try to tell you how to raise your baby.

[QUOTE=ash]Cover Shot
This is my very first Cover. I was so excited about doing this and it was something I had always wanted to do.

Flaunt The Bump
WOW! I just can't believe how BIG I'm getting. I love this photo, everyone can see how happy I am with my "baby bump".

This is my beautiful nursery. I come here everyday just to feel closer to my special little one!

Free Shot
I love relaxing in my hammock in the yard reading to my precious bump. I believe that reading to my baby will improve our relationship. Who knows, maybe my bub will want to be a writer when he/she grows up.

1.) How does it feel to be a pregnant model? Actually at first I was a little worried thinking that I would have no work. But since I've been pregnant I've had more work. I love it and it makes me feel so beautiful when I step in front of the camera.

2.) How have you gotten support from your family over your pregnancy? I moved to Belladonna Cove to be closer to work. It was only a few months later that I met Gabriel and we found there was a little one on the way. My family has been supportive but they live quite far away and haven't been able to be part of the pregnancy. On the other hand Gabriel's family can't do enough for us. It's great to have such a wonderful support network around us, helping us every step of the way.

3.) What have you done to prepare for your upcoming newborn? Well, let's see, we have the nursery ready and every time one of us (or both of us, as the time gets closer) goes out, we pick up something new. I think by the time the baby arrives we will have enough of everything to last us for 20 babies. My friends wanted to give me a baby shower but when they saw everything we already had they decided that it really wasn't needed. Gabriel's parents are very excited to, so they keep thinking of new things we might need and bringing them round. Pretty soon we'll need another house just to store all our baby things.

4.) Do you know yet if it is a boy or a girl? Or, if you're expecting multiples? We Know for sure that we are only expecting one baby but the our little monkey kept his/her legs crossed so we have no idea. We weren't sure whether we wanted to know and our "baby bump" made the choice for us. We have kept the nursery as neutral as possible and can't wait for the day our baby finally joins us. It really doesn't matter either way!

5.) Any names picked out yet? If so, what are they? Yes we've a few we really like but we want to see our bundles face before we make our final choice. I've picked Hannah for a girl and Benjamin for a boy, while Gabriel likes Loretta for a girl and Bastien for a boy. So I guess we just have to wait and see.

6.) What advice would you give other pregnant models? First off, make sure it's what you really want to do. At the beginning of the pregnancy you may feel great but remember you will get tired the further along you get. Also, find a photographer you are really comfortable with before you start. Know your limits and make sure you let other know when you've reached them. Rest, eat and drink a lot of water, and always have fun and be proud of your "baby bump"

7.) What advice would you give other pregnant women? As this is my first pregnancy, I have to ask a lot of questions of other woman. The main piece of advice I have had is to help your partner to enjoy the pregnancy as much as you do. Involve them and keep them up to date with everything that is going on. Also wear clothes you are comfortable in. If you think you look good and feel beautiful it will shine through, and people will see how great you feel about being pregnant. Oh and give into those cravings, even if they are a little weird.

10th Mar 2009, 12:34 AM
I was so pleased when i got the call from my agent!
A cover girl from a magazine! But if that was not the best bit, i was over the moon when i heard it was sim-ply pregnant! it was the only magazine i bought when i was pregnant befor. I really glad the way it turned out and i hope you are two, i was kinda disappointed at how well my picturs did befour.

This is were i run trying to keep fit, i mean your only pregnant for 9 months and then you have to think of a diffrent reason to why your still so big and i feel i have to try to work twice as hard as i want to be a model. I also choose to run here, as i have a lot of memorys here and like to think about what todo next, pluss the view is beautiful.

This is mine and the babys room in my new house, i would move in but it's the only room with any stuff in. I drive over here sometimes and just sit on the bed, looking at the crib, the toys and children books and i think to my self, will i be able to cope? i gave anyway my 1st child because i was rasieing her alone and didn't have time for achild, i thought i would have children in the further and have help from my husband, but insead i'll be rasieing the baby alone again! But this time i'm trying to be a model and will i will have time for a child?

1) How does it feel to be a pregnant model?
Very tireing But very Exsideing! I really injoy all the clothes and standing in front of the camera and trying diffrent poses.

2) How have you gotten support from your family over your pregnancy?
I don't have anything to do with my dad or any of his family. In the last couple of months i have started getting in contact with my mum but she has a new home, new job, new husband and new kids to deal with. As for the father of my baby, his already got a new girl freind and baby on the way and doesn't really want to be bothered with his "misstake" and he calls the baby, But i'm a stong girl and will take one day at time.

3) What have you done to prepare for your upcoming newborn?
At the moment i have only got the room ready, i still have loads todo and every day the due date gets nearer, but i'm trying not to think about it as i don't want to get to stressed.

4) Do you know yet if it is a boy or a girl? Or if you're expecting multiples?
it's a singal child but the last scan i went for it was to early to tell, i have a scan in a couple of weeks and hope to find out the sex, i feel i am having a girl, well i hope i am anyway as everything i have bought is for a girl :D

5) Any names picked out yet? If so, what are they?
amber/nicole for a girl, i so sure it's a girl i have no boy names picked out.

6) What advice would you give other pregnant models?
Take things easy, don't put being a model over your self and the baby, if you go to shoot but the photo grapher gets moody with you because you wont do what he wants, then walk away, don't EVER let anyone make you do something your not comfortable with or what could harm you or your bump!

7) What adice would you give other pregnant women?
Don't let anyone get you down, the stress will not do you or baby any good! Eat your 5 fruit and veg aday. Make sure you have loads of rest. Don't try and do to much, make the most of being pregnant and no matter what don't ever regret this preganice.

I have a question since I've been sick and mostly lazy for the last few days. The only stuff I've posted are things that were laying around on my pc since last week.
I thought up an idea of doing like a special mag article on both twins together on the cover. Is this permissible? Or do you need me to do 2 separate entries for them? I thought it would be like a "bonus" issue on "celebrity" twins pregnant together. I can make a diff cover shot for each entry, just thought it would be cute to do it together somehow.

The photographer said he wanted to see my looking peaceful with my little guy so we went to my local Yoga and Zen garden. We got a few shots here but he said i look "at one" with everything in this one.

This is me in what used to be my spare room, now converted for babys arrival. Iv really enjoyed decorating and getting everything ready,
I think its my nesting instinct coming out. (And yes the glider is as comfortable as it looks, iv even started napping in there!)

Free Shot
I enrolled in a craft class, i thought it would be nice to make some toys for little guy.Its a bit early but by the time hes a toddler, im hoping to have improved my skill. You can never have too many skills to your bow.

1) How does it feel to be a pregnant model?
To be honest, im loving every minute! When im on set now, i get a lot more breaks than before, it was all work work work, now the sessions seem relaxed and work aroud me.

2) How have you gotten support from your family over your pregnancy?I haven't. The father (who im still not sure who it is) is no where to be seen. My family all live quite a distance from me now due to my work, they are there when i really need them, but i dont like to interupt their lives.
I know they don't like not knowing who the father is but they respect my choices. Im a very independent person.

3) What have you done to prepare for your upcoming newborn?
Wow, where to start! Iv had my apartment baby proofed. I know its a little early but i dont want to take any chances with my babys safety. I had a decent amount of savings so iv stocked up on everything we need, and really went to town on the nursery. The little guy deserves it.

4)Do you know yet if it is a boy or a girl? Or if you're expecting multiples?
Whoops! Iv already given it away, im expecting a boy. At my ultrasound he gave the nurse a bit of a full on flash, so she was pretty definite about him
being a boy.Sounds like he's already inherited his Mummys, shall we say, less that coy behaviour!

5) Any names picked out yet? If so, what are they?
Im quite lucky here, iv not had to argue with the father about names, so i get to choose! I like Heath, Bailey and Seth. Ill be waiting till the birth before I decide for definite. All babies have their own unique look, so its hard to name them without seeing their face.

6) What advice would you give other pregnant models?
My main advice would have to be - Dont take any crap from anyone! If the photographer wants another shot but you just have to pee, make them wait! Your body is going through so much, just being pregnant without the added stress of people trying to push it. Ultimately, your in charge!

7) What adice would you give other pregnant women?
Well, the advice for pregnant models is a good lesson for any pregnant lady in life! But id have to say, just enjoy every minute of it, because its all over so quickly. Take plenty of photographs as you progress, its great to see how much your body changes in such a short space of time.
Also try to exercise a little, even if its a yoga class once a week. Iv taken up yoga and am amazed at how fit i feel even though im getting bigger!

(apologies for quality of pics, photobucket wont work so im having to use tinypic and the quality sucks!)

:( all these sick kids. i'm sorry. tell them all to feel better!

and the round entries are looking great so far!
This round ends at 11:59:59 PM on Saturday night (eastern standard time).
Real life is getting in the way a little saturday morning, but I'm totally free to answer any last minute questions the rest of the day (and any time before that too) lol

Have fun doing your entries everyone!!

12th Mar 2009, 8:05 PM
I'm sorry to hear about all the sick children you all have, too. Our household baby sized person has finally broken his fever and half way back to his saucy self. Good thing, his birthday is Monday and it would really suck for him to get a party shoved down his throat if all he wanted to do was sleep on the couch with me some more.

12th Mar 2009, 8:11 PM
First thing that happened Tuesday morning was that I got a spot for the cover of Sim-Ply Pregnant. I was so excited. My wife got her stuff together, while I tried to stay calm, then we headed for the set. It was a big beautiful forest. I think they knew I had a passion for nature. Everyone said I looked like I had a bright glow about me. I loved taking this picture.

In this picture, I felt like I was the sexiest pregnant woman in the world.

I absolutely LOVE this room. Can you believe that there will be a little bundle of joy to put in here?
Nursery Shot

My wife was being silly here. We thought it would be cute to take a picture of her talking to the baby.

1) How does it feel to be a pregnant model?
I don't know if I consider myself a model, as I was put up to this, but this is an awesome experience. It's wonderful and I think the baby loves it.

2) How have you gotten support from your family over your pregnancy?
(If you have gotten support. If you have not recieved support, why not?)
Everyone supports it (I hope). If you remember that I told you that her brother donated so we get support from him. Plus, both of our parents are loving that they get to have a grandchild from us.

3) What have you done to prepare for your upcoming newborn?
Set up the nursery, gone crazy a couple of times (I mean what pregnant woman doesn't), gotten LOTS of gifts. Oh, I have been nesting like a mad woman.

4) Do you know yet if it is a boy or a girl? Or if you're expecting multiples?
I have no clue what it is and neither of us really want to know. We really want it to be a surprise for everybody. That's why we did neutral colors for the nursery.

5) Any names picked out yet? If so, what are they?
If it's a girl we decided to go with Anya and if it's a boy we are going to go with Mason.

6) What advice would you give other pregnant models?
Don't let the beautiful belly stop you from doing anything. If anything, I think it enhances the pictures beauty.

7) What advice would you give other pregnant women?
Do what you have to do to get by. The baby WILL drive you crazy but you must relax and don't stress about the simple (or even the difficult) things in life. Enjoy every moment of it, as it goes by real fast.

I am going to get my up sometime tonight or early tomorrow morning. I have to take my oldest daughter to the er because the school nurse thinks she has strep throat. I guess there was an outbreak in her school. They said that half her class has it alone. It was so nice of them to warn me.. rollseyes.

Have fun everyone!

15th Mar 2009, 2:47 AM

1) How does it feel to be a pregnant model?

It is a little harder then I thought it would be. I get tried very quickly and have to take a lot more bathroom breaks. But I am enjoying it very much.

2) How have you gotten support from your family over your pregnancy?
(If you have gotten support. If you have not recieved support, why not?)

Of course I've been getting surport. My husband is very understanding in why I want to model. Jeremy is just a little over protective which is kind of getting annoying.

3) What have you done to prepare for your upcoming newborn?

I've been getting Carrie ready for a new sibling. I am a little worried she might feel left out. So I have been reading a lot on this subject.

4) Do you know yet if it is a boy or a girl? Or if you're expecting multiples?

We want the sex of the baby to be a surprise. But deep down I think it is a girl. As far as we know it is just one baby. But you never know.

5) Any names picked out yet? If so, what are they?

Of course we have a few names pick out. If it is a boy I like the name Logan. It was my grandma's maiden name and it would be cool to name him that. As for a girl Jeremy wants to name her Phoebe after his grandma.

6) What advice would you give other pregnant models?
Make sure you eat right, take breaks often, and to just listen to your body. Remember the baby should always come first.

7) What adice would you give other pregnant women?

First I would tell them to take care of themselves. Second would be to make sure they see their doctor. It is so important to see your doctor for every appointment. Third is to just enjoy the pregnancy. Eat whatever you crave and just have fun.

15th Mar 2009, 7:49 AM
In light of so many extensions needed, the entire round will be extended for everyone until tomorrow, March 15, 3009 at 11:59:59 PM.
This is your new countdown:

If anyone still needs an extention, please PM me

Have fun everyone!

I am sooooo happy to finally get back online and see that!!! This must be the week for pc problems. I just got done putting mine back together after putting in a new modem card. This is ridiculous. Now my puter has three -- and I use a wireless. Duh. Well, now I guess I know why my connection went from 55 mbs down to around 1-5 half the time.
Be back in a bit with some entries.

15th Mar 2009, 9:29 AM

My sister and I were so excited when Sim-ply Pregnant called saying they wanted to do a spread on the two of us. We decided to wear the same dress on the cover shot. It's a great, sexy dress. And . . . after my bump is gone, I can just tighten the laces and wear it all the more.

This outfit is so laidback, it makes you just want to lay back. Bad pun, I know. I just love to sprawl out and talk to my babies and tell them all about everything -- even how that puffy cloud up there looks like a choo-choo train.

Gimme a P, gimme an I, gimme an N, gimme a K . . . what's the spell? My favorite color, no doubt. What do you think of my nursery so far? It's a work in progress and not all of it shows in the pic. Like my comfy clothes? I love soft knits for doing stuff around the house -- especially being in my nursery and planning what to add next. I think a rocking chair.

Busted! I've been caught in my undies checking for stretch marks. Just making sure when I'm slim and trim again, I'll be ready to get back to work at Simora's Secret. Not to mention, I love seeing my belly knowing there's little people in there I can't wait to meet.

1) How does it feel to be a pregnant model?
At first, I thought my modeling career was over. So many what if's ran through my mind. You know, like what if I don't get thin again, what if no one wants a mother in their ad, all that awful-izing. All in all, I can't believe all the work I've been offered and I'm really enjoying it.

2) How have you gotten support from your family over your pregnancy?
My twin sister, Opal, has been my anchor. She's always there for me and I'm always there for her. My life partner calls me ten times a day, too. I really miss him and wish he could be here more, but his contract won't let him drop a six-month tour just to keep me from getting lonely for him. Hopefully, he'll be home before the babies are.

3) What have you done to prepare for your upcoming newborn?
I've made them the most beautiful pink nursery. Our home is under reconstruction after the last quake so it's getting a lot of child-safety features. Every night I read from parenting books, too.

4) Do you know yet if it is a boy or a girl? Or if you're expecting multiples?
I don't know the sex, but I'm having at least twins. They wiggle so much my OB can't tell if there's more than two.

5) Any names picked out yet? If so, what are they?
I'm thinking Pearl, Diamond, Garnet. If one's a boy, I'm thinking Jason Junior. I sure do hope he likes pink.

6) What advice would you give other pregnant models?
There's plenty of work out there for any of you who keep her inner glow on her face. Let your joy shine through at all your photo shoots.

7) What advice would you give other pregnant women?
Don't slack off on your exercise and beauty regimens. Eat healthy foods: gain as much as you need to, but not so much that you spend all your time after giving birth fretting about "when will I ever be thin again?" instead of enjoying your newborn.

15th Mar 2009, 9:38 AM

Wow! I can't believe all the opportunities I've gotten while I'm "in the family way." All those clothes to choose from for a cover shot -- what to choose, what to choose? My sister and I decided to match and play up the twin card this time. This drawstring dress is so great. You can lace it up just right and keep your bump all snug and keep loosening it up as that bump gets bigger.

Who says you can't look like a hot sexy rocker chick while pregnant? Not I! This outfit stretches right along with my belly. Excuse me, time for a healthy snack.

Close-Up of Opal. (http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Runway%20Mommy%20Contest/Round%202/R2-Opal-3B.jpg)

Nothing makes a girl feel more like herself than donning a pair of jeans and pulling a T over her head -- especially when she has some last touches to put on her nursery. Hey, Mr Bear, what do you think of our work so far? Think we got enough cribs?

Just me goofing off in my "burglar" suit. Nice and stretchy and the world can see my bouncy big belly. Never mind Freddy, he frequently looks at me like I'm a kook.

1) How does it feel to be a pregnant model?
As opposed to a pregnant elephant? Seriously, I haven't seen much of a damper on my modeling career. Sometimes sets take a little longer when there's a foot in your rib or all those trips to the ladies powder room, but I'm having fun with this stage of my career.

2) How have you gotten support from your family over your pregnancy?
My sister and I are having the time of our lives being pregnant together. Nothing like walking up to another woman and saying, "Hey, you got a walrus in there or what?" or rubbing bellies together. We can be so wierd at times. My man calls and pops home as often as his schdule permits. His mom has offered to come stay and help out with the newborns when the time comes.

3) What have you done to prepare for your upcoming newborn?
I think I've done what most other expecting women do. Got a ton of baby supplies, fixed up a nice nursery, checked over my home to make sure it's safe for when said newborns are mobile.

4) Do you know yet if it is a boy or a girl? Or if you're expecting multiples?
I am expecting a small army. The doc says four for sure. I feel like I played for double or nothing -- a twin having quads. Freddie comes from a long line of multiple births, too. We should have our hockey team in no time. We are waiting to see the sexes when they are born. Isn't half the fun of having a baby waiting to see what it is? No surprise, no fun there.

5) Any names picked out yet? If so, what are they?
We haven't really decided. We're waiting until they are born to meet them. Then we can see who they say they are if you know what I mean. I wonder if any of them will smile up at Mommy with a face saying I'm Kermit.

6) What advice would you give other pregnant models?
As long as you're up to it, put a smile on your face, show off that big bump, and get out there! All those long hours in front of the camera trying to hold still can be hard, but if you have a good crew, they won't mind a break. Keep healthy, drink lots of fluids on the set, and don't lose that positive attitude.

7) What advice would you give other pregnant women?
I may be a celebrity, but right now, you're all the "star" of your family. Eat good foods, get some exercise, plenty of rest, you know, all that stuff the doc tells you. Enjoy this stage of pre-parenting since the real work is coming up in the near future.

15th Mar 2009, 11:26 PM

I don't know if I look it, but I was very nervous here! Like I said before, I'm not a born model and I have to work hard not to look awkward. The photographer was cool though, made me feel pretty at ease which is a good thing as this must of been the fiftieth shot and we were all getting pretty tired. All worked out in the end though.

This was an amazing shot to take, I feel it expresses my personality as a mom to be. Young, modern and totally up for that New York shopping trip!

I love this nursery decor'! I actually decorated this not long after I found out I was expecting when I first moved into my apartment. I didn't know what I was expecting at the time I just thought it was so quirky and bright. Well, I just had to have it for my baby! In fact I'm sure I spent the rest of my student loan on it..whoops.

1) How does it feel to be a pregnant model?

Tiring, but very awesome. I feel like I have fresh air running through me instead of blood. I feel confident and strong and I know who I am now. I want other pregnant women to see me and believe that they can achieve what I have. That they too can have everything.

2) How have you gotten support from your family over your pregnancy?

They are quite upset that things between Felix and I never worked out and have questioned whether or not I have made the right choice. My mum thinks I should of put my studies first. She doesn't think I will make it back to University. My dad has stayed pretty quiet on the whole subject, I have always gotten on with my Dad more and with me being the youngest and everything well I think he is just in shock. I think my family just want me home most of all.

3) What have you done to prepare for your upcoming newborn?

Ive got all of the essentials now even down to the nappies! Im just waiting on my Jane Slalom pro being delivered which is taking ages as their UK warehouse is in Ireland and for some reason post takes longer from there. Ive been buying a lot on eBay. I think buying new things all the time is a waste of money especially when it comes to clothes. I can provide better quality for my baby if I buy second hand on my budget anyway and hey It's good for the environment right? Recycling and all that jazz!

4) Do you know yet if it is a boy or a girl? Or if you're expecting multiples?

I'm only expecting the one and It's a boy! Or so the ultrasound technician said. She couldn't actually give me a 100% answer but she said she was about 98% sure she could see a boy and she got his bits on the screen although I couldn't quite make it all out. She did print me out a picture of it all..want to see?!

5) Any names picked out yet? If so, what are they?

I really love Oliver or Benjamin. Oliver because I love the musical and Benjamin after my dad. I think I will probably call him Benjamin. Does Benjamin Oliver Knowles sound too much?

6) What advice would you give other pregnant models?

Rest between shots. Have a decaf. Do whatever you do to unwind. When your in a studio it can be so easy to stress out. If that happens I find the best way to combat it is to find somewhere quiet even if you have to go to the bathroom to do so. Close your eyes and breathe. If your in a bathroom you may, or may not wish to breathe through your mouth.

7) What advice would you give other pregnant women?

Sleep, eatwell, take prenatal vitamins and moisturise moisturise moisturise! The say stretchmarks are hereditry and moisturising won't make a difference but I say every little helps. Bio Oil is fantastic if you can stand the grease and funky smell. Oh and don't forget natures moisturiser. Water. It's really important now more than ever to drink your 8 glasses a day.

16th Mar 2009, 9:26 PM
Alright everyone, this round is closed. If you have not submitted your entry yet and still want to, you may, but there is a 3 point penelty. But you still can post your entry!! (If you need to drop out, PM me)

I am about to PM the judges and the judging shall commence. This is an elimination round, so good luck to you all!!!

17th Mar 2009, 12:58 AM
D63121... It looks like this contest is scheduled to end today. Did you contact me for an extension or will you be wrapping the contest up after your Round 2 scores are collected? Let me know either here in the thread or via PM :)

17th Mar 2009, 8:57 PM
I'm wondering about what bp asked about. And if we are still going on, when are you posting Round 3? Before or after the scores? I'm only asking since if I don't get eliminated, I'd like to get started plotting the next round.

18th Mar 2009, 2:34 AM
Deatherella and all other contestants: This contest will still continue! Yay. (thanks bp for the extension!)
Although, the rest of this contest will be slightly rushed. There will be 4 days for each round and 2 days to judge. I hope that's ok with everyone.
I will be posting the round after the scores are in since there are eliminations. Although, if you want to start thinking about the next round, spoiler alert: start thinking about formal wear lol
You will all have your scores asap :)

18th Mar 2009, 3:55 AM
Oh, I can't wait for the scores and (if I make it to the next round) round 3. :D

Good luck guys!

18th Mar 2009, 7:52 AM
Oooooh I like the spoiler! *slopes off to mts2*

19th Mar 2009, 12:36 AM
Just a quick question, I was wondering when the scores will be put up?? I have a really busy weekend coming up (sons birthday party and older sons playing rugby) and I don't know how much time I will have to spent on pics and stories. Also if I'm going to be eliminated I'd like to know so I can make her have the baby. I've grown to like her and would really like to meet the little one.LOL!! Sorry if I'm being pushy but I have so little time this weekend.

Amy ;)

19th Mar 2009, 6:57 PM
Since nothing has been posted about when the next round is actually going to start I am going to begin considering dropping out. I committed to this thinking it would be close to finish by now and I have other commitments that I need to stand by.

Please let us know exactly what is going on so that we can judge for ourselves whether we have the time to wait it out or not.

19th Mar 2009, 7:16 PM
I wonder the same thing as the posters above me...

20th Mar 2009, 2:03 AM
It's been two days and no word from our host.
Hmmmmmm . . . . I wonder what's up, as well.

20th Mar 2009, 2:11 AM
. . . I just wanna know if my not so good entry got me eliminated. (Kinda depends on it to whether or not I start hosting another contest yet or not)

Alls I ask is please, please don't let what happend to the Superb Siblings Contest happen to this one .. . .

20th Mar 2009, 2:36 AM
Or the other pregnant contest. She has been on today, but maybe she hasn't gotten all the scores or something. I hope everything is ok! :)

20th Mar 2009, 2:41 AM
I just PMed her, so hopefully she'll check back in with us.

20th Mar 2009, 4:02 AM
Hey guys, I am soooooo sorry!
I've finally recieved all of the scores and I will do the calculations. I can say that for SURE the final scores and the next round will be posted tomorrow. My mom decided to do some "bonding" tonight (ugh) and I've finally gotten home. I am so sorry about all of the issues that this has caused.
But fear not, I am not leaving you guys lol, I was just waiting on some scores :)

But now that I have them all, things will go back to awesomeness.

Tomorrow (around 5 or so) everything will be posted. And from there the contest will go on. If everyone feels that this has taken up too much time, the third round can be the final round and from there we will have a winner. PM me with your thoughts :)

I'm extrememly sorry for all of the problems that I have caused

p.s. There are new prizes by singing_Noel :)

20th Mar 2009, 6:04 AM
Thank you, Emily, for checking in. I am glad nothing bad happened to you. And yea more prizes (of course it doesn't really matter). :)

20th Mar 2009, 1:10 PM
don't stop it early lets get to the final round!

20th Mar 2009, 1:34 PM
I would like to follow this through to the end as well! -smiles- I'm happy that you are okay, Emily!

20th Mar 2009, 7:11 PM
Yeah, I'm glad your okay too D63121, 'cause I was really worried when you didn't check in after a couple days, it just isn't like you. Heheh. I hope you do plan on going the full nine yards with your contest, 'cause I've really enjoyed lurking this one.

I bid everybody good luck, and I hope the winner will enjoy the prizes I've offered!

20th Mar 2009, 7:44 PM
Please keep the contest going! It's been fun and its the first contest ive joined and kept up with!!

20th Mar 2009, 7:54 PM
I'm glad you checked back in, too, Emily. Nice prizes for the winner.

And . . . my mother has pretty much never had any time for me my entire life, my daughters are always too busy hanging with their friends to hang with me, so I envy you your mother/daughter time.

20th Mar 2009, 9:50 PM
Thanks everyone. It seriously warms my heart to know that you all like this contest and that I'm doing ok with it.

Deatherella: I'm so sorry about you and your mom. My mom and I are pretty close (it's just the two of us in the house) and I love our close relationship. I hope your daughters and you can get closer and that everything gets better. (I'm not sure how old your daughters are, but I know that I have become closer with my mom throughout the "college process")

You are all amazing people and contestents who well deserve their scores so here you all go: (Again, if you want your comments, please PM me)

Sadly, some women have gone into labor early (have no fear, in sim world the babies all come out perfect, healthy, and oh so adorable) and will be needing to leave us to take care of their newborns. You are all amazing contestants and it will be sad to see you go :(

The mothers of these beautiful newborns are:
-Josie Kinkirk
-Yvonne Acer
-Opal Enchanted

(p.s. You all best post pictures in the babies and toddlers forum, I know that I at least want to see the new babies :))

I will be posting Round 3 in a matter of minutes (there might be less pictures of the headlines because I really want to just be able to post it and get everything up for you all)

21st Mar 2009, 12:45 AM
(Sorry to double post)

Round 3:
-Starts: March 20, 2009
-Ends: March 24, 2000

Formal Fun:

You have booked yet another photoshoot (photographers and designers are dying to photograph your newly grown bump!). This time, the designers want you to model their formal wear. You will be in 3 photos (with an optional 4th photo).

-The first photo will be you modeling dressy-casual formal wear.
This will be for the fun party that you were invited to and you still want to look beautiful
(hott, sexy, stunning, gorgeous, etc).

-The second photo will be of you medeling a much more formal gown.
This must be floor/ankle length.

-The third photo will put your modeling skills to the test. A different designer that you have never modeled for wants you to model their new dress. The only thing is, the dress is a little...well....different. Either it's too avant-garde or high fashion for your taste. Or it's just plain ugly. But, as a model, it does not matter what you think of the outfit, you have to pull it off and sell the dress. Look your best in the dress, and try not to have too much of a cheesy smile (hehe)

-The optional fourth photo will be of you in any dress you choose. But this picture should be on a "set."
You should be at a fake party or anything of the sort to show how functional the dress is.
(Again, this is optional, there will be a bonus round for round 3)

-You must be wearing different dresses in the pictures (the fourth picture can have a repeating dress)
-You are finally in your third trimester
-You should have a few (around 3 to 4) sentences that go along with each picture
-In the title of your post, please have your sim's name and which round it is
-Have fun!

-It's short, so if you have questions feel free to ask
-It's short because there is lots of room for imagination and creativity. There seriously is no limit to what you can and cannot do (except, well, not be in a dress lol, but if you want to go crazy with photo-editing you are more than welcome to)
-I will be posting the bonus round as soon as possible (I just don't want to triple post lol)

-For some reason, I cannot edit the title of the thread, so please check back for which round is posted, when scores are up, etc. Sorry.

22nd Mar 2009, 7:38 PM
For the first one, are we just modelling it in a relatively plain background or like she's at a party? As the fourth optional one is at a party too?

22nd Mar 2009, 10:56 PM
The first three photos iare not on a set, so just a plain background is needed. But stylistically, they can be any color(s) you want, just not at a party or anything :)

I can't wait to see all of the entries!
Also, there are only 2 days left to get them in, and the sooner they're in, the sooner we can move on :) (and trust me, the next round is really worth it, in my opinion lol)

23rd Mar 2009, 3:22 AM
I'm about to load my lot with Ruby, and am wondering if the fourth "set" pic can have other people in the background to make it look more like a party? Or should we just put our model in a party type setting with no other peeps in it?

23rd Mar 2009, 4:03 AM
Anything you want is totally fine. But, if there are other people, make sure that she is "standing out" so that we can tell that the focus is her and not someone in the background. But other people in the picture are completely fine :)

23rd Mar 2009, 6:56 AM
Okay, thanks for letting me know. I planned on having them just taking up space like other party guests in the background.

When will the bonus round go up?

23rd Mar 2009, 11:48 AM
Today. I'm sorry. Things have been crazy and I completely forgot...
Have no fear, this is back to being my top prioriity.
I'm already late for school (like always...) but it'll be posted the minute I get home :)

23rd Mar 2009, 3:20 PM
I was glad when the photographer chose this dress, partly because it looked great and accentuated my bump, and also because i only had to wear kitten heels! Platforms just kill me right now, and with a huge bump, it throws you off balance.

I adore this dress, they even let me take it home when the shoot was over. I love that its a little glam, but not covered head to toe in sequins. I also like the sheer part on the midriff that shows off the bump nicely.

New Designer
Oh wow, well i wasnt keen on this dress, the designer aparrently has a big 1920's influence. Lime green isn't my color, and it doesnt do my curves justice. It just sort of hangs. But im a professional and i dont think my dislike shows too much.

Its Party Time!
(Sorry had to link it, was too big)
Isnt this a grogeous place? Its at one of the local hotels and its mainly used for weddings.(If i ever get married, it'll be here!) I loved the dress, its so pretty and feminine, I felt like a million bucks. Plus its perfect for any occasion, a night on the town, dinner in a classy restaurant or even a wedding reception.

23rd Mar 2009, 8:48 PM

I'm having so much fun modelling with a bigger than ever bump. Check out this sleek little number -- black tie or black coffee, works for both. And that touch of pink satin . . . total bonus.

This is a very nice dress if I don't say so myself. The lines keep a momma-to-be from looking fat, yet that baby on board looks so sweet. The classic style in this formal makes it perfect for a night out at a fancy restaurant, an awards dinner, or even to meet the queen!

A designer wanted me to model this??? Was this his idea of what a rock star's woman would want to prance about in public in??? Oh, what else could I do but put a smile on my face and dance about like I was enjoying the experience of this get-up.

A beautiful outdoor wedding set for a beautiful wedding dress. It was so hard for me not to burst out giggling throughout the shoot. Jason was over on the side rolling his eyes until he saw them send out a male model to pose, too. I heard him clear his throat kind of loud and mutter, "I don't think so." A few minutes later, there he was behind me. I felt like the only thing missing in this pic was my dad with a shotgun. I sure hope this ends up in a bridal mag and not a gossip rag.

23rd Mar 2009, 9:27 PM
The entries are looking amazing!!!

Bonus Round 2: Beach Beauty

You have been asked to do an on scene photo shoot! You are asked to model swimwear for a designer that you LOVE. The focus of this picture, besides your bump and you, is your pose. This pose should clearly show your belly and flatter what you are wearing.
All you need is one photo.
You may be wearing either a one suit or 2 piece (anything you want, just not a body suit ;))

Being On Scene:
-What this means is that you will not be modeling in front of a plain background. Get some sun in!
-You can be at a pool, lounging in a chair, on the beach, anywhere you want (as long as it's out side).

-You may do any form of photo editing that you want. Black and white, only certain colors showing, anything.
-Please still have the correct title for your post
-Have fun!!!

23rd Mar 2009, 9:34 PM
Awesome round Emily, im gonna go do mine now *hehe*

23rd Mar 2009, 10:40 PM
Did the judges do comments for the third round? If so, can I have mine PM'ed to me please?

23rd Mar 2009, 11:29 PM
Beach Beauty
Now this is what i call work! Messing around on the beach somewhere warm and sunny, and being paid for it. Big thanks to the designer Succi, who paid for the trip and designed this gorgeous bikini.

Me too thanks.

I was having problems with my game and just now fixed what was wrong. It is now 12:30 am where I am and I have to get to bed. I was wondering if I could have until noon tomorrow.

Party Dress

24th Mar 2009, 6:37 AM
I finished my pics and was editing them and my computer decided to be a poop I had most saved except one. I cannot be bothered right now to open up my game and do it all over again. If I get a chance to re do the last picture tomorrow then I will probably post my entry but if I don't post tomorrow then count me out. I'm sorry but I just feel really unmotivated, tired and lazy (I didn't work out today so I am annoyed at myself).

Sorry. I will try to get it done tomorrow.

24th Mar 2009, 8:31 AM

It's so much more fun to model at home, especially when you're wearing a little something from your favorite designer from Simora's Secret. I just love wearing this little red bikini while I lounge at my garden pond pretending to read.

24th Mar 2009, 11:33 AM
The entries are looking great!!!

Here's the countdown, the round ends tonight:

mornindew: Noon is fine. But the sooner the better :)

24th Mar 2009, 5:47 PM
This I thought was the perfect dress for like a going out with friends for dinner outfit. It fun and not to dressy.

This little red hot number made me feel sexy again. I felt like I could walk down the red carpet and everyone would stare. ( In a good way)

I wouldn't say this dress in ugly. It just is not my cup of tea. I'm not really into patterns but I worked this dress like I did all the others. Now looking at the picture it looks better on me then I thought it would.

This is one fantastic dress. It has to be my favourite of all the dresses we have been through. Depending on what accessories I use I can wear it wherever I want and fit in well. I feel great look great and best of all so does my newly grown baby bump.

http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s318/ASHORY/FORMALSMALL.jpg (http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s318/ASHORY/FORMAL.jpg)
This is such a beautiful dress it can be used for parties, balls or even a wedding. In fact I think I it will be my wedding dress minus the baby bump of course.

http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s318/ASHORY/UGLYSMALL.jpg (http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s318/ASHORY/UGLY.jpg)
I was mortified when they bought out this dress! It's 2009 not 1959 people! Of course it's my job to make it look good so I tried to make sure I kept a pose that woudl accentuate my bump and make that the main focus. I think I pulled it off it doesn't look half bad in this picture.

http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s318/ASHORY/PARTYSMALL.jpg (http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s318/ASHORY/PARTY.jpg)
Let's party ALLLLLL night! Well actually I was ready for bed pretty soon into this party. The pregnancy is really taking it's toll on me but I know I could have in this dress it was comfortable and stylish and I loved wearing it. It was fun and sexy too, just perfect for the launch party.

I am in love with this swimsuit and will be making sure I have it or one similar for any more pregnancies I may have. There is just enough material over my belly to cover the stretchmarks but it still enhances my gorgeous bump. Can I say this visit to the beach was a much needed one!

awww those pictures are sooo cute!!

Alright guys, this round is over. I'm about to PM the judges.

I'm hoping that I wont have to, and that this contest will go through to the last round, but some things have been going on and the contest could need to end after this round. I'm so sorry.
I most likely will be able to let this go for the next round, but there could be a slight chance that I cannot. But I'm hoping for the best and that everything will continue as it should :)

25th Mar 2009, 10:15 PM
Cute pics Deb (hope u dont mind me using your name, death sounds kinda odd to be calling you lol)
Aww that sucks Emily, but things happen and thats life. hope everythings ok

25th Mar 2009, 10:20 PM
Oh no Emily, I hope everything works out great and the contest can continue it has been lots of fun:) Of course, RL comes first. Please let us know if we can continue. Thanks for a great contest.

27th Mar 2009, 4:54 AM
Alright guys, we WILL be continueing (I know I didn't spell that right...).
Due to time, there will be no eliminations for Round 3, so I will be posting Round 4 tonight and I will have the scores up as soon as I can. I won't be on friday night or saturday, but I will on sunday to answer any questions and whatnot. (I'm so sorry. Real life is crazy stressful and everything so I'm trying to ballance things. Sorry.)

Round 4:
-Starts: March 26/27, 2009
-Ends: March 30, 2009

The Final Show:
Well, you've moved on! No more photoshoots! You have booked the runway and this is it!
There will be three photos for this round.

The first photo will be of you modeling your favorite outfit and working it on the runway. This outfit must be one that you have worn previously for this contest. It may be any outfit at all (casual, formal, swimwear, anything).

The second photo will also be of you modeling on the runway. You may be wearing any outfit you want, but it must be the same type of outfit that you were wearing before, but it must be a different outfit. (If you chose to re-model a dress, you must wear a dress, but a different one, if you wore swimwear, then you should also wear swimwear, etc).
Although, in this picture, you will be in labor, on the runway. Gasp. Explain how you handle this situation and how you kept your cool. Did you jump off the runway and, well, run away, or did you keep on working it through the contractions?

The third photo will be of you and your newborn. Both your face and your newborns face must be showing (even if it's not the entire face) but focus on the pose. It should be a sentemental picture that your favorite photographer has decided to shoot for you.

-You are in your third trimester still.
-Please have a few sentances to go along with each picture.
-Same title as always
-Have fun!!!

27th Mar 2009, 5:00 AM
Yea! thank you so much. I am going to get started on mine right now.

I am glad that you can keep the contest running, thank you again. :)

27th Mar 2009, 5:23 AM
Did you mean you want a pic with our model in labor -- showing her doing the long drawn out pain of it -- or her keeping her cool in her second outfit with her confessional talking about it?

Since you won't be checking in for a few days, I'll get pics both ways just in case and use what you want.

I hope your life mellows out. If you need any helpful advice, I'm sure we're all here for you.

Yes, chowgilly, you can call me by my real name. We certainly are in all the same places on this site often enough to be slightly more than just a little familiar with eachother.

27th Mar 2009, 11:42 AM
Deatherella: Either or. You can have your model with a "shocked" expression, or one of her actuall in pain. Which ever you think sends the message of her in labor. And thank you, all of you have been extremely supportive. I'm so sorry my life is kind of crazy right now.

Well, I'm off. I'll see you all on sunday!! (again, I am so sorry that I will not be able to be checking up for a few days)

27th Mar 2009, 11:52 AM
Thanks for continuing Emily, even with hectic rl, some hosts just leave ya hanging, so we appreciate you havent.

Hope things calm down for you soon (and stop apologizing lol)

27th Mar 2009, 12:06 PM
haha. My friends always tell me that I appologize too much. But I am sorry that I'm so busy and everything, I really didn't want to be one of those hosts that just neglects you all.

And thanks again for all of your support! I can't wait to come back and see the entries!

27th Mar 2009, 1:59 PM
What a great shot, even if i say so myself. I adored this dress so when Heleane asked me to do the show, I had to wear it. I warned her though that my due date had been and gone a few days ago, so i could pop anytime.

Uh Oh!
Oh boy, was this embarrasing. My waters broke mid-walk on the catwalk! I guess he decided he wanted to be the star of the show! I just tried not to look to frightened and spoil the show. I waddled off as soon as i could and went to the hospital. I hope they mopped up afterwards, wouldnt want any falls!

Well, here he is. May I introduce you to Seth Tilson. He definitely got his mummy's eyes. The birth wasnt exactly a breeze but the epidural sure helped! This is us enjoying dinner time! I have chosen to breast feed (did you guess from the size of my breasts!?) but i also express and want him to get used to bottle feeds too if he ever has to be away from me. Not that i intend on going any where without the little guy if i can help it!

(Note - I know the first two pictures are dark, but with it being at a fashion show, its the effect i was going for)

29th Mar 2009, 7:35 PM
Hey guys, sorry I couldn't get on or anything over the weekend. But I'm home now :)

I still had not recieved all of the scores by today, so I last minute had to fill in for the judge because there would be no way to get the scores in by tomorrow. Sorry.

Ruby Enchanted's water broke early :( It will be sad to see her leave, but we all wish her the best with her new family

I can't wait to see all the entries! Have fun working on them!

Fave Dress

http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s318/ASHORY/favedresssmall.jpg (http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s318/ASHORY/favedress.jpg)

When I was asked to choose my favourite dress that I had worn during my pregnancy I was thrilled! Of course I chose this little purple number! It has been a staple in my maternity wardrobe ever since I first modelled it. I have worn it to parties, a wedding, to go shopping in and even for casual strolls in the park. I thought it was perfect for the casual/formal theme of the show and couldn't pass up the chance to wear it again. I will certainly miss it once the baby arrives.

In Labour

http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s318/ASHORY/laboursmall.jpg (http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s318/ASHORY/labour.jpg)

I had been feeling a little funny previous to the show and during the last few walks I had done but I just passed it off as another false alarm. At this stage I had had too many of those to count I seemed to get an abnormal amount of braxton hicks contractions. As I walked down this time though the contractions became more and more painful. I tried to keep my cool for as long as possible however, as I neared the end of the catwalk I had an unbearable contraction and screamed out in pain. Everone in the audience began laughing until they really realised I was in labour. I was quickly taken back into the dressing room and had the dress pretty much ripped off my back and only THEN was I taken to the hospital.

http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s318/ASHORY/babiessmall.jpg (http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s318/ASHORY/Babies.jpg)

As you can tell we got more than we were bargaining for Mark knew we were expecting twins however, he thought they would both be boys. The look on his face when he realised there was one of each was priceless. My favourite thing to do is hold them and stare at them and of course show them off to anyone who will pay attention. So here is to introducing Eli (left) and his sister Caitlyn. I think they are the most beautiful babies ever. I'm so happy and so lucky.

Click the pictures for a bigger version. I hope the last one is ok I wasn't sure if I could put in two pics so I just combined them. there is not much you can do with two babies and one adult if anything.

Oh BTW there were no restrictions or guidelines on the writing so I didn't know when to stop.

31st Mar 2009, 3:08 AM
Can I have an hour extension, please?

31st Mar 2009, 3:16 AM
Yes. Having it in by 2 am (my time) or so is fine. Just no later :)
Sorry, I think bP will put me on her hate list if this contest goes for much longer lol

31st Mar 2009, 3:26 AM
It's ok what time is it there? I live in the states and I have no clue how to tell time, lol.

31st Mar 2009, 3:51 AM
At the current moment, it is 10:51 pm lol.
I live in maryland, if that helps. The link to the countdown is posted earlier, so if you want, just add 2 hours to that :)

31st Mar 2009, 6:07 AM
This was my most absolute favorite outfit of the whole contest. It definitely made me feel comfortable in a dress. I am NOT a dress person but I loved this one. I am glad that I got to model it one last time. Something tells me this isn't all that I am going to love about this contest.

Ok, I was completely freaking out. I didn't know what to do. I felt embarrassed, but happy at the same time. I ended up being carried over to the nearest hospital and it was an intense labor. The baby's heartbeat was my main concern. Up and down it constantly went. In the end I gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

Baby and Mommy
Meet my baby boy Mason, he has my eyes and hair color, but looks just like his mommy Kailey. It was hard in the beginning, due to colic, but I have come to love him more than the world. I never thought such love like this existed, but it defintely does. I love to hold him near my chest and listen to him cooing. My wife is camera crazy, she snaps so many pictures of us, but this is the one we chose, you can see the bond between a child and their mother. I am so glad that I got to share this experience with you, thank you.

If I am missing anything please let me know. This was a fun contest Emily.

P.S. Photobucket STILL hates me. :(

1st Apr 2009, 2:04 AM
Alright guys, the entries are great. I'm about the PM the judges since I just got home (I've had way too many doctors appointments these last 2 weeks...sorry)

I can't wait to see the results!!

p.s. I hope none of you got that nasty virus (computer virus/worm) that's been going around :(

1st Apr 2009, 2:11 AM
Thank you Emily.

I think I am going to turn my computer off tomorrow, lol.

1st Apr 2009, 2:19 AM
I most likely will too. I'll be off and I'm only getting on for this contest pretty much. I downloaded everything I could to protect against the thing, but I'm still pretty freaked out about the idea. The idea of someone knowing everything and getting all your information is a little creepy lol.

1st Apr 2009, 1:49 PM

Good job, chowgilly!! And you other two, too.

I kept forgetting to put up my second model's babies. Here's a link to an album full of Ruby and Jason's twins.
Pearl is born first, Garnet second. Jason is always holding infant Pearl, Ruby is always holding infant Garnet. As toddlers, Pearl has long hair, Garnet has short hair.
