Guidelines (http://simswiki.info/index.php?title=MTS2:Creator_Guidelines/Majors)

These are the rubrics that MTS staff use for evaluating TS2 Majors shared here.

The title above the post text controls the rubric's category, a number indicating its display order in the list, and its title, with no spaces between the word and the dividing | character: Category|Display Order|Title

In the post text, the numbers at the beginning of a line indicate the star rating for a particular rubric item, with a possible 1 to 5. Exactly how these numbers are used will vary based on the type of rubric item... Is it a "was it done right? yes or no?" type evaluation which would have only 1 or 5 as options? Or a matter of quality that will be more of a sliding scale including 1, 2, 3, 4, 5? Or something else?

A dividing | character can be given at the end of any one of the 1-5 star items to give a link that is relevant to that item.

1: There is already a very similar major to this one on MTS. Although having multiple majors on the same subject is fine, new majors should be different enough to offer a meaningful variety to downloaders.

2: The theme of the major does not continue throughout the class titles; majors should have a goal of learning about a subject.

3: The theme and the class titles are cohesive.

5: The theme is unique and fun and fits the game perfectly. Thank you.

1:This major has many grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors in the text, to the point at which it is difficult to read or unclear what the text is supposed to mean.

2:This major has quite a few grammatical, spelling and punctuation errors.

3:This major has some grammar and spelling issues.

4:This major has a few grammar and spelling issues, but is mostly correct. Great!

5:The spelling and grammar are perfect. Great job!

1:The skill requirements are unreasonably high or low for the type of major.

3:The skills are mostly good, but a few levels seem too high or too low to be realistic.

5:The skill requirements make sense for the major, in line with EA skill requirements. Thank you.

1:The class titles are so long that they will not fit in the user interface. Please make sure that all class titles are fully visible in-game.

2:The class titles are mostly ok in terms of length, but some of them seem too long - please double-check that they all display correctly in-game, and don't overlap any other text in the user interface.

5:Your class titles are short and sweet, or at least short enough to fit in the UI panels. Lovely!

1:The class titles don't make sense, or are very short and don't contain anything to make the major interesting. If you're stuck for ideas, try making them funny!

2:Most of the class titles are interesting and readable, but a few of them could use some editing for readability.

3:Your class titles are readable and make sense, but they're a little plain and could use something to make them more interesting or entertaining.

4:Your class titles are readable, and interesting or entertaining. Great!

5:Your class titles are fantastic: witty, interesting, and/or very clever. Wonderful!

1:You have not uploaded a working .package file, or you have uploaded a .package file along with some other files which will not work in people's games. Please upload just a .package file, and optionally a readme.

5:You've uploaded a working .package file, and no extra unneeded files. Great!

1:Your main text doesn't include any of the required information about your major (does it override, what skills etc). We can't moderate the major if we don't know anything about it!|MTS2:Creator Guidelines/Majors

2:Most of the required information is present, but some things are still missing. Make sure you include all of the information asked for by the Creator Guidelines.|MTS2:Creator Guidelines/Majors

5:All of the required information about your major is in the main text. Thankyou. :)

5:The EP requirement information in your upload is correct. Thankyou!

1:There is no attached a screenshot showing your career's icon. You may attach screenshots of other things, such as class titles if you wish; but you must also attach the icon.

5:You've attached an in-game pic showing your career's icon. Great!
