View Full Version : Question About Sources/Credits what Images are okay to use

I recoloured/added an image to some Sims 4 Maxis sweatshirts. I found one image - the majora's mask - on a free to use website, so I feel okay about uploading that. The other two are from a Zelda Wikia, but I think the images are straight from Nintendo. How would I go about finding out if I can use these images in my upload? Any help is appreciated <3

Well, I guess I already found my answer. That means these are a no-go, huh? I guess you gotta learn some lessons the hard way :)

Can I use pictures or articles from Nintendo's site for my own?

All content on this website, including articles, artwork, screen shots, graphics, logos, digital downloads and other files, may not be used on any other web site, in any publications, in public performances, in connection with any product or service that is not Nintendo's, in any manner that is likely to cause confusion among customers, in any manner that disparages or discredits Nintendo, or in any manner that is otherwise exploitative for any commercial purpose or that otherwise infringes Nintendo's intellectual property rights.

The worst places are brands, so those are always best to avoid unless you find a good free to use fan site with somebodies drawings -basically, fake 'X brand' All brand names these days have lengthy nasty copywrites. As you can imagine MTS would not want to take them on, which is why we now have the stricter credit rules.

Thank you for your response. I will be searching for free to use art from now on! :)
