Chapter 42 - Long awaited arrivals, Opal Nightmares, and Grumpy Sagi!

*Yawn*

Have I mentioned recently that I absolutely HATE the exhaustion that usually hits me around this time of the pregnancy? I barely have enough energy in the morning to get up, let alone do anything involving effort. Thankfully, Remy’s been a real gem in looking after the kids and keeping the house clean. He’s currently sleeping; his nightshift job takes a lot out of him!

Anyway, time to read the news…Ooo, what’s this?

“Pleasantview socialites were left shocked, and in some cases in tears, at the news of wealthy eccentric Mortimer Goth’s recently announced wedding…to none other than his former wife Bella, who disappeared last spring in unusual circumstances. Below is a picture of the happy couple, along with their two children - Cassandra, who recently miscarried and lost the twin boys of her ex-fiancé, Don Lothario; and Alexander, who has sadly been recently diagnosed with a large stomach tumour. The operation to remove it will take place in a few months, and the young genius will then be free to head off to University. Until then, a spokesman for the family announce, he will spend his time resting and self-studying from within the luxurious Goth mansion. For more details, see pages 3, 4 and 5…”

Stomach tumour? I think I smell a rat! He looks exactly like Sagi did when he was pregnant with Orion…makes you wonder how common alien abductions actually are…

Please excuse me while I waddle my way back indoor so I can check online for statistics.

And speaking of pregnancy bumps…

…I got a bit of a shock when visiting Pisces a month back!

Meet my new and first granddaughter, Sakana! I think she’s got her grandfather Talin’s eyes, it’s been a while now so I'm not quite sure, but she’s definitely got my hair. Can’t wait to see what my little heartbreaker granddaughter will look like when she’s grown up!

At least I’m not the only one knocked up and grumpy right now. It seems Sagi’s old extraterrestrial friends have left him another gift.

Luckily, Orion seems excited to be a big brother, so I don’t have to worry about Sagi’s health with Ori there to look after him. I hope it’s another granddaughter; I don’t want Sakana growing up with no female cousins.

See this? This is a photo of what appears to be the start of a little bit of flirting between Scorpio and a woman who has just moved in next door to the boys. From what Sagi’s said, her name is Eruruu Atari, and she works at a nearby aquarium. Sagi’s promised to keep an eye on her for me, so I should be getting some more information soon. I just hope for her sake, this doesn’t end up like the Opal Fiasco, or else she’s going to regret it!

Speak of the devil-bitch…

Look what the cat dragged in, sneering her head off. Look at her, acting all high and mighty, especially considering what the local gossip chain’s been passing along. I love working at this shop, all the juicy details of Opal’s fall from grace seem to come my way…

Remember the reason Opal had to leave University? Well, it turns out the triplets really don’t get on with their mother. For some reason, I actually think I like these three!

Of course, anyone would have sympathy for the kids, considering what a complete rubbish mother Opal’s turned out to be. Considering the fact that she’s just given birth a second time, this time with twins, you would think she would have more of a clue about how to handle a baby. Instead, she leaves them on the floor and feeds them via pet dishes! Ironic, considering she always considered me to be a bad mother…

And the father?

Let’s just say he’s been exploring new things with Lucy the maid…And Katlynn the nanny…And Sandra the postwoman…And Katie the firewoman…And Elenor the policewoman…And probably several others that I’ve forgotten.

He’s not exactly living there anymore. I wonder why?

In any case, Opal really didn’t waste much time with hanging around the shop. I wonder if my glares had anything to do with that. Time to head home, get dinner sorted, then head out for a nice relaxing wander in the cool breeze. I’ve found these to be very relaxing, especially with all the stress this current Lump has been causing me. Ahhh, it’s nice out here, and the Lump’s calmed down as well.

Life looks like clean sailing from now on.
