We spent the better part of the day unclogging both toilets and mopping the floors. We didn’t know what to do with ourselves…well Dave had ideas but I was too anxious. Worrying how Keira’s first day went, would she make any friends, would she get home safely on the bus, is she getting picked on?
The day seemed to drag. I had taken the day off work, I could work when I wanted to really. All Dana and I needed to do was flip the open/close sign on the door and people would just show up so we could work whenever we wanted, which was convenient for me. I recently earned my bronze cosmetology talent badge which was accompanied by a letter stating….for recognizing the sharp end of the scissors and the greasy end of the lipstick (what, they actually thought I didn’t know which end was which??) has made Emalita less likely to cause those make-over mishaps.
Ha! If someone was cutting hair with the wrong end of the scissors then….well they shouldn’t be working as a hairdresser, actually they should be in a home for the mentally challenged.
Dave and I hadn’t really been alone in the house since before Keira was born so we had forgotten what it was like. We missed her.
When she finally did get home I bombarded her with questions, but she wasn’t interested in chit chat she wanted to sell lemonade again.
She seems to have a good head for business already!
I told her it was too cold so she went and cleaned the bath instead.
Strange.
‘umm sweetie’ I said. ‘The bath can’t get any cleaner, why not ask your dad to help you with your homework, I need to run on the treadmill. I got fat today’
It’s that damn sparkly food, I have to start selling it instead of stocking the fridge with it.
I can’t believe how much homework they give them. Even with Dave helping her it still took her over an hour to finish it.
I ran on the treadmill for around the same time it took Keira to do her homework. As soon as I jumped off my body literally bounced back into shape. Fantastic!
It does make me smell bad though working out like that. I commented on it to Dave.
‘Tell me about it, I can smell you from here’ Yep I was pretty wiffy.
‘there’s green stuff emitting from you too, you might want to get that looked at’
‘shut uuuuuup’
It was snowing again as Keira was heading to bed. I love how excited she gets about the weather. She jumps for joy.
That reminds me, i think her room needs a make over.
