PS: Thanks for all your encouragement :lovestruc
It's holiday time!
Riverblossom Hills FINALLY has an airport, meaning we can now
go somewhere when we take holidays rather than just staying home.
Since the snow wasn’t letting up even though we were now into spring we chose to fly to a place called Twikki Island where it’s summer all year round!
What gets me is the school Keira goes to doesn’t break for holidays so we pulled her out for a few days to give her, and us, a well earned break away from home, and away from the miserable weather. Keira's doing extremely well at school so i doubt it will do any harm.
A shuttle bus was sent to collect us and take us to the airport. When we booked the tickets they told us we couldn’t leave unless we had organized a nanny for the dog! Who ever heard of hiring a nanny for a dog??
Anyway we booked a 2 bedroom suite at Potterhouse Bungalows. What they didn’t tell us until
after we checked in was the price. $1,181 per night! And we already booked 4 nights!
‘Better be damn good for that price’ I’d said to Dave when he told me.
Our room was a rich blue colour with hideous yellow carpet to ‘match’ Going for a seaside theme perhaps? I’ve always thought it was only the town we lived in who had taste up their ass but I guess they’re not the only ones.
The suite was equipped with everything we needed for a short stay apart from kitchen facilities which we didn’t think we would need so that was ok. Apart from the lovely murky yellow carpet the suite was great. Situated right on the beach where we could eat out on the balcony and the view from our bedroom was beautiful and serene.
We couldn’t wait to check the island out and everything was pretty much within walking distance. A man in grass skirt was happily swinging on a swing near our suite as we headed off for a walk around the island. I wondered if he was hired entertainment or something considering his attire.
