‘Please tell me this is not happening again’ I think to myself as I am awoken yet again to the sound of the security alarm going off.
I come out to find a female police officer in a brawl with the burglar and Keira already out of bed and standing right beside them!
‘Hi Mummy’ she says smiling at me.



Oh my god! A burglar has just broken into my home and my daughter is waving at me with a smile on her face!!! Does she have no idea? She has Got to be in shock!
‘Keira!!’ Now she’s sitting down to play on the computer and the fight is still happening!



‘Keira honey, come over here with mummy’
What the hell is going on?
Jesus, he’s running away! Where is the officer going??

‘Beaten by a burglar, now I’ll never get that promotion’
Is she for real?? Am I dreaming??
THAT is all she has to say ….oh great, leave why don’t you. Don’t worry about us or anything, we’ll be FINE!



Aw Keira…I think what happened has just kicked in. Poor little sweetheart was probably still half asleep.

‘Go and jump into bed with mummy, you can stay home from school today’
‘good idea, come on sweetie, let’s get a shirt on you and you can come and sleep in mummy’s bed ok?’




‘Did Keira go back to sleep ok?’
‘yeh she’s still sleeping now, with any luck she might wake up and think it was all a dream. Can you believe that cop?!’
‘not if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, look I’m meant to start my new job today but if you’re not comfortable staying here on your own I can call them and explain, I’m sure they’ll understand’
‘You know how employees are around here, they probably won’t, no you go, I’ll lock the door behind you when you go, we’ll be fine’
