A 'what's been happening' chapter
Back to: A day in the life of a Womrat Next: Brandon goes to college (don't you just love the names of my chapters)
This chapter is not very exciting but since it's been a while since i've updated i thought i might catch you all up on what's happening so i can move onto the next chapters.
I think this is what's been holding me back from continuing.
ps: For some reason there is no bar for me to select Bold, centre etc? So sorry about that.

Not much to do in your golden years. We get tired easily, need a nap during the day or else we retire around 7pm and if we do that we wake early and roam the house in the wee hours of the morning with nothing to do.

By 4.30am we’re cooking breakfast. We don’t bother changing out of our underwear because we know we’re only going to get tired again before day break.

We have aches and pains and our joints tell us when the rain is coming and we need to pee every 5 minutes, yet the strange thing is we both have an unusual appetite for sex. Probably because there’s nothing else to do.

Dave’s hair is completely grey and mine is fading. I recolour it as often as I remember, or could be bothered.

It’s hard to believe I’m already in my 50’s, and married almost 30 years. Until I look in the mirror. Maybe i will just let my hair go grey.

Pippin is still plodding along and you know how they say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Well it’s a lie. We still teach him new things, right now we’re teaching him to ‘speak’ . He did growl at me for the first time in his life though, left me feeling very upset.

Yes I am aware of how sexy my underwear is nowadays but there’s not a lot to choose from for old ladies like me. Keira likes to tease me when she sees my underwear. Just like her father she is.

Keira has her own place now in Riverblossom but I don’t visit too much in case she feels I’m ‘crowding’ her.

She’s settled in well. Has a gorgeous home and seeing a very nice looking man by the name of ….Gee I can’t even remember, old age see…I’ll have to write it down next time.
She still has her womrat and cockatoo. I can’t believe that womrat isn’t dead yet. She’s had it since the day before she left for college.

Brandon has recently left for college. He’s hoping for a career in athletics. I haven’t heard from him since he arrived so I hope he is settling in ok. I have learnt from Keira not to interfere but I will give him a call tomorrow.

April’s son is almost 12 and he’s a real cutie. Seth has been experimenting with robotics, creating all sorts of flying techno objects. One item he built flew through the house with a family sized pizza last time I was there.

And Jane, well she is just as gorgeous as ever. Not showing a sign of age. Come to think of it she doesn’t look a day older than she did when I met her all those years ago.
She is very happy with her man Jim. They never married as they never felt the need to.

Dave and I were there just 2 days ago for dinner and they have recently bought a gorgeous little kitten named Ginger. See I do remember some names.

Unfortunately I remembered the name of a cat before my daughter’s boyfriend but still…I haven’t completely lost my marbles….yet.
