Illusions by Ripp Grunt
Back to: The Dream by Johnny Smith

When Ripp dreams, he is in a wonderful place.

Where everything has gone right the first time,

And he is right where he wants to be.

Where life, although not perfect,

Is as close as it can possibly get,

And he wouldn't want it any other way.

When Ripp dreams, he is not alone.

He is surrounded by warmth,

And it isn't just another one night stand.

Because he loves this man beside him,

More than anything else in the world.

With each breath, he feels safer - more secure.

He is loved.

When Ripp dreams, he is happy.

Because everything is right with the world.

Because his family is complete.

He is complete.

But then Ripp wakes up.

He is cold, and beside him lies an empty spot.

He is alone,

And realizes that maybe this was meant to be.
