Country Wallpapers - Roosters, Birdhouses, and Fruit

In times not so very far past, farm wives had no time or money for fancy decorating. Life was hard and funds were tight. Walls tended to be painted, and that only when they couldn't be scrubbed clean anymore. New dresses were made from flour sacks, new rugs made from worn-out clothes. One made do, made their own; used it up or did without.

My grandmother was a midwest farmer's wife during the depression. Her house *never* looked like the "country farm house" in the magazines. However, I think Grandma would have liked these pretty country papers. They will certainly make a more attractive house than the plain white (cheap) walls she had in her kitchen, or even the sorta-gold (faded) paint she had in her dining room for so many years.



These papers are separated into three themes: birdhouses, roosters, and fruit. All three are popular "country" themes. Each theme comes in several country colors. Each theme also comes in several coordinated presentations. Altogether there are 162 wallpapers offered here.



First of all, the Birdhouse Papers:



These are offered in 5 colors: tan, gold, cream, green, and beige. Each paper is made in 6 versions: plain, with border, with baseboard, with both border and baseboard, as "chair rail" with beadboard on the bottom half, and as that same chair rail with the baseboard added. They can be found under the "wallpaper" subsort in wallcoverings in Build mode. The .rar for these is called "birdhouse papers" and contains an important "readme" document for the set.

Second are the Rooster Papers:



These are available in 6 colors: white, green, gold, red, black, and blue. They also have 6 coordinating Script papers in the same colors. The Rooster papers are offered in the same versions as the Birdhouse papers, except the "chair rail" was created with the Script papers, instead of paneling. The Script papers are available in plain, with border, with baseboard, and with both baseboard and border. They can be found under the "wallpaper" subsort in wallcoverings in Build mode. These are divided into two .rar files; Roosters and Script. The White Roosters papers are included in the Script .rar for reasons of space.


Third are the Fruit Trails Papers:



The Fruit Trails papers come in only three colors: cream, gold, and white. However, I explored the possibilities of these papers more fully than the other two themes. They have coordinating Crackle papers in the same colors. Both Fruit Trails and Crackle papers are offered in twelve versions each, with and without borders, baseboards, crown molding, and chair rails. The Fruit papers can be found under the "wallpaper" subsort in wallcoverings in Build mode. The Crackle papers can be found under the "paint" subsort in wallcoverings in Build mode. The .rar "Fruit" contains the Fruit papers, and the .rar "Crackle" contains the Crackle papers.
