Usually I get my inspiration from the neighbourhood as I walk out and about. This time, the area failed to donate ideas, so I googled and found some architectural plans. Although this lot is not an exact replica of the plans (and was not intended to be) it is strikingly close, so I have included the website link in the credits and some of the pictures.
The House of Four Seasons was built to afford sims the opportunity to enjoy beautiful surroundings all year round, and includes a luxurious spa room and an outside pool.
The house sits on top of a small hill, and steps lead up the gentle slope to the wrap around porch, giving access not only to the front door, but also to the sunroom.
The porch opens onto both a small cloakroom with w/c, and the main living area, an open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area, with ample windows to let in the sun.
The living area gives access to the master suite, complete with dressing closet and full bathroom, to the basement and first floors, to the bbq balcony, and the sunroom.
The sunroom is ideal for your sims to soak up the sun, both in the summer - free from attack by mosquitoes- and in the winter, providing protection from the chill winter winds on those frosty, glisteningly sunny days.
Upstairs in the eaves is a room for the young sim, complete with ensuite. Down in the basement your sims will also find another single room with ensuite, a reading study nook, and access to the luxurious spa, complete with hot tub and sauna: perfect for relaxing on the cold winter days.
Opposite the reading nook is a small private courtyard, surrounded by calming leafy bamboo, where your sims can sit and enjoy the quiet, or spend time brushing up on their logic skills while playing a friendly game of chess against eachother.
Above, the bbq balcony can be accessed from the living area, the sunroom, a small private balcony attached to the master suite, and also from the driveway. The balcony offers ample space for a bbq party, and overlooks the best part of the garden. Just beneath and to the side is a small vegetable plot, allowing your sims to bring the goodness of the garden inside. The balcony gives a wonderful view to the pool and pond at the back, perfect for lazing on the summer days.
Sadly this beautiful three bedroom house doesn't come cheap. Perfect as a family home, or even as a holiday home-from-home, this house comes equipped for fun! However, fully furnished, this house will set your sims back by 205,806 simoleons, just creeping into the insane price listing. However, my sims certainly thought it was worth it! I hope yours do too

Also, thanks to Mootilda for the answer on my panicked thread about flooded basements- this project, although still possible, would have been much less shiny and longer in the undertaking without your timely response. Thanks very much again!

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

About Me
I'm in this for the fun, I love creating beautiful things. I love sharing these things even more.
I've been away for a while, as I'm currently holding down a full time job and studying for a foundation degree at university, but I'm now back with Sims3!
