NOTE 10/28/06 Tested with Pets - shouldn't have any problems.

NOTE 3/27/06 Fixed the ceiling object to make it compatible with Open for Business (previous version would freeze time in Open for Business; wall object apparently had no problems). Still compatible with older versions of the game and older recolors. Please re-download ceiling package (labeled JGGlowDark-CeilingPanel-UPDATE032706.rar) and write over older version. Please let me know if you run into any problems,

J.

Original Post: This is a small off-shoot of my ceiling tile project, which is also in this forum. These are glowing flat wall and ceiling panels that can easily be re-colored and placed on your walls and ceilings (SEE NOTE BELOW) to create a lot of different glow-in-the-dark / neon type effects. These are not lamps, and will not light up rooms.

The default texture is glowing green moons and stars, but this object is really meant as a base for re-colors (see second and third screenshots for examples - these re-colors are available above) - you can make letters, symbols, neon signs, etc. - whatever you want. I've given a short tutorial on the re-color process three posts down and in the readme included in the files. Let me know if you have any problems; thanks,

J.

INSTRUCTIONS: Place in your Downloads folder. Any re-colors you make can be placed in a sub-folder of the Downloads directory (i.e. EA Games\The Sims2\Downloads\Recolors) and will still be accessible. The objects will appear in your Decorative-Miscellaneous category, costing $10 each.

*NOTE 8/23/05: I finally released version 3.0 of my ceiling tiles in this thread: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=42789
These are at the appropriate height, so now these ceiling decals should display properly when you have a ceiling tile and glow-in-the-dark decal on the same tile. Thanks to everyone for being so patient.
