Some artists draw inspiration for their masterpieces from the tranquil sounds and shades of green found in nature, while others find their muse in the beating heart of the city. For this second type of Sim, Noveaux Artiste Highrise was built. This modern tower aims to stand out from its neighbors, with bright colors and creative designs built throughout.
Set on a long, narrow plot of emerald green grass, this building has a number of small apartments to provide the artistic inspiration your creative Sims need, and the high walls surrounding the building mean that even amid the bustle of a thriving Downtown, Sims can find the peace to give shape to their ideas. At the same time, the windows and balconies on nearly every side of the building mean that Sims who need to see that busy street for their works will have a fantastic view.
This is another building that I built after seeing a similar one in the Facebook game CityVille, so, for comparison, here is CityVille's "Pizzera Apartments." Say what you will about Facebook games, Cityville certainly does have some good architectural material to pull from! NO CC REQUIRED.
This building's apartments range from $1525 per week on the lower end, up to a not-too-extreme $3770 for the three-story penthouse loft on top. While this means they may be out of the reach of a starving artist, a Sim who's up to selling paintings or writing the Great American Novel should have no trouble coming up with the rent every Monday. (and if they do, maybe they can bribe the landlord with a portrait?
Worth a try, anyways!)
Even the lobby speaks to the artistic side of many Sims, with floor-to-ceiling windows (surrounded by antique mahogany trim, of course) to give a 360-degree view of the city, a grand piano for musical Sims to perform with, and an elaborate wood-and-stone ceiling to make even the richest of Sims yearn for the bohemian lifestyle of an artist.
