Ranch Retreat 2BD 1BA Maxis Makeover

I'm sure everyone has used this cheap little sim bin house from the base game. I know it was often a staple as a starter for me, but the colour and layout was pretty blah and I always slapped some colour onto it right away. The main thing that bugged me about this lot was its size. The house is small and the lot is one enormous blank piece of grass. Well no longer! I shrunk the lot on either side by 5 tiles, so a total of 10 tiles narrower. I like to be true of the Maxis houses footprint, so the house is exactly the same size and shape it comes out of the bin but everything else is changed. The floor plan, the colour, the garden, and while it may look very similar I redid the roof as well. That roof type seemed to suit it the best but the pitch is now lower.

An invisible driveway. I used an invisible driveway, but didn't include it in the upload as I'm not sure whose it is. There are a couple on this site, it's worth having.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).

• You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install.
