Hi everyone! Today I am bringing you a build I am very pleased to present: The Golden Reef Aquarium!
This is actually my second aquarium on my page, the first being The Aquacity Aquarium. However, this aquarium has taken things to a whole new level of awesomeness! With two floors of vast water filled tanks brimming with aquatic corals and anemones, displays of dozens of colorful fish and other marine life, a large gift shop and bistro, and more, this aquarium will offer your nautical Sims everything they could ever want!
I used quite a lot of fog emitters for this build to create the streams of bubbles in the tanks as well as other aspects such as the live crocodiles in one of the second floor displays. However, I did not use them to add any fish in the tanks. You may notice there are fish in the tanks in the photos however, and yes I did add them in for the photos. They are NOT included in the actual download because of the fact that to get the fish to float and appear to swim freely as they are in the pictures, I needed to use the constrainfloorlelevation cheat to raise and manipulate the tanks interiors and place the emitters at various heights. Unfortunately, tests revealed that exporting the lot or even moving it in my game would completely erase the elevated floors and all the emitters would be placed on the floor causing the fish to either be glitched through the ground or just swim along the bottom. I did not want to have to export a lot that had such a problem so I erased the fish emitters and kept all emitters such as the bubbles and crocodiles that are already stationary to the floor level.

If you wish to add fish in the tanks you can simply use the constrainfloorelevation false cheat to raise and lower the inside of the tanks. place the emitters around and then use the terrain tool to go in and reflatten the ground. The emitters will remain suspended in air giving the fish a floating look like in my pictures. The aquarium still looks amazing even without them as it also included several digital tanks that show off many fish as well.

I had a blast building this aquarium and hope it is a welcome addition to your Sims towns. Add onto it as much as you wish, donate fish you catch, and let your Sims explore the wonders of the ocean! Happy Simming!
