Hi everyone! I'm back again bringing you a new fun house for your Sims! And if this particular house looks a bit familiar to some of you, that's because this home is a recreation of the Monty Ranch house from the Sims 2, AKA THE VERY FIRST HOUSE I ever played in a Sims game EVER. I recently went back to look at the Sims 2 and came back across the house and decided I wanted to bring it into the Sims 3. I did not want to change anything about the floor plan and see how well I could adapt the house into a much better detailed lot. Now, any of you out there who have played in the original Monty Ranch will know that the rooms in that house are TINY, so I had to think of how I was going to fill these tiny rooms as best as I could. The only major change I made to the original floor plan was deleting the one wall in the back room to open it up more as a living room. I turned the two rooms in the front into little entry halls leading to the kitchen and guest bedroom, and connected the back covered porch with the dining area by deleting the one wall section that originally had separated them.

The house now sits atop a small hill surrounded by tropical vegetation. I included a new back patio and front walkway along with a driveway. The interior is decorated in beautiful Mediterranean inspired decor and plenty of unique colors! Due to the smaller size of the interiors, I find that this home is a perfect vacation home when you want to escape the busy work life!

I really hope you all enjoy my recreation of Monty Ranch as a snazzy new tropical home! It should be a welcome addition to your neighborhoods! Happy Simming!
