From The Book series Harry Potter: Petunia and Vernon Dursley are Harry Potter's maternal aunt and uncle. They despised anything to do with magic or out of the ordinary including their nephew, who they treated horribly. Along side their fear was a desire for nothing less than a perfectly normal and materialistic lifestyle. They had one son Dudley who they loved and spoiled unconditionally.


Petunia was the older sister of Lily Evans Potter, she feared and resented her sister's acceptance into the wizarding world and was jealous at the thought of her abnormal sister being favored her parents. As a grown married woman she was obsessed with being the perfect housewife, keeping everything neat and orderly as well as keeping up with the latest trends.


Vernon worked for a drill company called Grunnings. Like his wife he obsessed over having a perfect conservative life, he had a extremely short temper and intolerance for anything out of the ordinary or that didn't fit his views, in some cases could be extremely aggressive.
