Description
With clear simple blues and off-whites plus cheery flowers, the unit was designed for Aether - (the upper, shining blue light) and his sister-wife Hemera (the personification of day), protogenoi (primordial) deities of Greek Mythology. Cottage chic includes original hardwood floors and retains the white-washed brick work on outer walls in the kitchen and entrance. This simple starter cottage is bare bones furnished with the absolute essentials: bed/toilet/sink & mirror/shower/fridge/stove/kitchen sink/counter/2 chairs/table/books/fireplace/trash/mail. It's "blank slate" state is ready for your Sim to move in and make their own as they make their way in the world.
With one-level living being most practical for game play, all the essentials are on the ground floor: a bedroom, full bath (that opens to the bedroom and to the main house), entrance, great room, and kitchen. A second bedroom is ready for a roommate, office, or hobby room. Like all real world houses, there is a second exit to the yard. A staircase leads to an open, unfurnished loft that's ready to be turned into a nursery and playroom, workshop, or studio when your Sim has the funds. The yard is ready for gardening, and the views of the canal are stunning. It's possible to add walk-in cold storage above the bedroom by adding a door to the loft area.
The unit - first and second floor - are fully enclosed, fully roofed and livable. This has been play tested in winter blizzard conditions.
Original Build Location (and ideal lighting conditions): Crick Cabana, Foundry Cove, Willow Creek.
Content Used: NO CC. This build uses items from base game, Country Living, and Get Together.
Packs I have installed: Get Together, Country Living, Eco Living, Jungle Adventure, Spa Day, Parenthood, Laundry Day, Nifty Knitting, Kids Room, Blooming Rooms.
Cheats Used: External landscaping includes resized debug items. Created with limited use of bb moveobjects (to place landscaping) and TOOL (to nudge a very few items into just the right place).
Credits: Screenshots are taken at various times of day and use Amoebae's ReShade "ClearPOP”. TOOL and Better BuildBuy by Twisted Mexi were much appreciated during this build.
Trivia: The lot title is from a song by the great Oscar Hammerstein II.
