I noticed that there was only one previously uploaded Sims 3 martial arts dojo when text-searching for martial arts, academy, or sim fu on MTS (It later turned out a few more could be found by searching for dojo), so I decided to do my best to make a West-themed one that would fit well into regular worlds.

The setup of the Sim Fu dojo academy is relatively simple, and strongly modelled on European martial arts clubs. There's a wardrobe, a lobby where hopeful parents look at their kids for a couple hours while drinking coffee (despite how it turned out that child Sims can't use the Sim Fu training equipment), and a tall and bright carpeted training room with sparring mats and training equipment, including training dummies and board breakers. One unusual factor is that since Sims don't walk over to an open area before sparring (and the NPCs on the lot are commonly using the training dummies), I placed the de jure sparring areas right next to the training equipment.

A lot of consideration went into the architecture. The original plan was for the 1st floor to be a parking house, based on how European martial arts (esp. taekwondo) clubs rent space in larger grey buildings, but this was not feasible due to the "No square block houses" rule. So I decided to place the training area on poles instead, inspired by Norwegian and Swiss mountain cabins.

The roof proved especially tricky. I dearly wanted a roof based on 2000's Danish vacation houses that had similar roof windowing to let in light and be environment-friendly, but it turned out I couldn't make the roof look good both from the outside and from the inside. In the end I opted for "Looks good from the outside". And despite how the game's lighting system consider the 3rd floor to not be indoors, I have verified that the 2nd floor training room is weatherproof if Seasons is installed.

Under the poles, I found space to place a small fishing dam, which comes with the following spawners:
• Fish France, frogs
• Fish China, Carp 1
• Fish Egypt, Oasis common
• Insect France, Glowbug
• Gems France, Mixed

I did my best to only use "Vanilla + World Adventures" items, which e.g. means there's a small corner of the training room that was intended for kids, that currently isn't used for anything. The Generations-exclusive hopscotch mats would fit well in there.
