Maintenance Mod - Handiness Made Useful

This mod adds autonomous or intentional interaction to any breakable/repairable item by allowing you to do maintenance on them. Maintenance is valid when the object's condition is low but has not reached broken.

Maintenance will restore the object to a pristine state and reset the amount of time or use before that item can break. An unbreakable object is still an unbreakable object and maintenance will not apply to objects that are upgraded to be unbreakable.

The interaction "Maintain" will be visible on a valid object when that item's condition is nearing failure. This interaction is available to any Sim with a Handiness skill of 8 or higher.

Avoid costly repairs and object replacements with timely maintenance and use handiness to it's full potential! Become the ultimate handyperson! And, an added bonus - maintenance doesn't produce piles of garbage. Keep your stuff in top condition and tidy!

This mod can maintain any breakable object from base game and all packs. If you have the particular packs that the objects are from then this mod will detect them. There are no pack dependencies on this mod but if you have packs that have breakable items they will be detected.

Important Note: If you are using the older "Tinker and Tuneup" mod from my SimFileShare (https://simfileshare.net/folder/100545/) remove it before installing this newer version. The two mods will conflict with each other.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the File tab to see the download link. Click the link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

Read the upload description for installation instructions. If nothing else is specified, do the following:

2. Extract: Use WinRAR (Windows) to extract the .package file(s) (if included, ts4script as well) from the .rar or .zip file(s).

3. Cut and paste the .package file(s) (if included, ts4script as well) into your Mods folder

• Windows XP: Documents and Settings\(Current User Account)\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\
• Windows Vista/7/8/8.1: Users\(Current User Account)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\

Need more information?

• Anyone can use both .rar and .zip files easily! On Windows, use WinRAR.
• If you don't have a Mods folder, just make one.
