Sometimes I like to go through the WCIF? to see if I can be helpful, and I came across a certain post asking if there were stained-glass recolors for the "The Light Pane" window. Now, given my interest in stained glass as well, I decided to see what I could find as well, as someone else who was trying to help wasn't having luck, either.

There were none.

Nope, none! Just some TXMT-based recolors, which are all well and good, but they wouldn't have helped in this particular instance.

I decided to peek inside the window in SimPe, and it didn't look too hard, so I started trying to learn how to do things to make this window a recolorable reality.

I give you "The Light Pane" basegame window with a texture-enabled recolorable glass!

[u]What's Been Fixed/[u]

I looked at the glass in Blender and...hoo boy, not sure how exactly this window worked in the first place, but the meshes have been put in place and the glass remapped to look like how it would in-game (before it was simple all smushed together!).

I also added textures for the glass to draw from, based on the colors present in the TXMTs (so if they look a little different, that's why), and the TXMTs were edited to receive said textures, so when you want to make a recolor, SimPE will now generate a recolor package that includes either the clear or smoke texture for you to use.

I didn't have to mess with the GMND, MMATs, or SHPE, so yay one smallish-file!

[u]What's Included/[u]

Along with the CEP file, I've included both a PNG and JPG version of the new UV Map, so y'all can make your own recolors for the window (and I hope y'all do--this window has been neglected for too long).

Given how this is a two-story window, the size of the texture is 1024x1024.

Please note that I have not included the "Proof-of-Concept" recolor in the pictures--I figured no one would want that!
