This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.
Yeah! I´m the first! 
Now I share here my recolored Steps. Big thanks to Numenor for the great job!!! If I have a little more time, i will recolor more and more and more...The original Holy Smoke modular stairs you can find here!

Basic Download and Install Instructions:
1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
3. Place in Downloads Folder: Cut and paste the .package file(s) into your Downloads folder:

It´s right - the original meshes from the other objects are from Sunair Sims and
the glass cabinet is from Modern Sim Objects Yahoo Group.

At moment I recolor all my objects to my colors: this light brown, light grey and black.
Try to recolor your own steps!

LOL, I sure do understand! Thanks so much for the little push. I didn't try matching colors yet, but I did make a little somthing for the Trashed thread... I'll post them here because others might want rusted stairs too...
Now the only problem I had was that even though I Committed and saved the stairs return to the default when zooming away. Could someone please check and see if they do that on another machine? Did I miss a step? Yep...that was it (thanks all fixed now, LOL)
