Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.

could you help me test this?
the bookcase was made to match the wizard's study here: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=76263
my thanks to besen, as always, for helping with translations
made with Blender, PSP8, UV Mapper and SimPE 0.4

What does it do?

Basically, it's an ordinary bookcase, with a new mesh
Not sure if it actually counts as a hack, but I changed the pie menu to be more 'appropriate'.
So: Study/Cooking becomes Study/Herbology
Mechanical becomes Astronomy and Cleaning becomes Alchemy
Simmies will write in their Book of Shadows instead of their Diary
And students get to Research Spells
The thumbnails and actions stay the same as with the regular bookcase (there, they'll still be learning mechanical and such)

The pie menu is 'hacked' in these languages: English (both), French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and Portuguese.
If you play in other languages, it will be an ordinary bookcase.

The info

Poly's: 972
Price: 445
Fun: 3
Catalog entries for Dutch, German and French. Everyone else gets English.

I'm pretty sure that this will NOT work without Uni.
I've found the same codes as with the stereos, so it probably won't show up in your catalog. You're always welcome to try, of course :D
I've tested the package extensively in my own EP game and found no problems there.

You're free to recolour, hack, fiddle with this object, as long as you give credit, post a link to the original mesh in this thread and tell me all about it.
Please don't put this object in a downloadable lot, we don't want to scare innocent simmers.

Ok, please feel free to comment and tell me of any problems you may have.

Edit: I'm so sorry, you guys, I was so excited about my Half Blood Prince that I uploaded the wrong rar.file earlier
Please redownload. This one contains the actual package. The other has a bak.file. You can just delete that.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Cateyes, you are right
I'm so sorry, I was too hasty to upload and took the wrong rar.file.
To all who downloaded, please try again and remove the bak.file that came in the previous rar.
Again, my apologies.

for the record, people
the snape sim is not mine
he's chinhan's : http://forums.modthesims2.com/showt...highlight=snape
there ya go, have fun drooling over him :D

for the people looking for zips: there's a ton of programs to open rar's.
please google for them or search the forum for one of the dozens of threads on rar.files. I've seen so many links to programs I can't even count them.
I spent over thirty hours getting this object right. Please take the time to find something to extract it.
