SimPE is a simple Package Editor you can use to Extract/Create/Edit .package Files.

*Changed in v0.14d: Object Workshop will now gather the correct textures for an object even if those textures are "borrowed" from another object. Solves the problem of creating an empty package for "Create Color Extension Package" for some objects. (RG)

* Changed in v.027: SimPE is almost ready for University since 0.27. Please check the SimPE homepage for more recent Update! You can still use SimPE if you do not have the EP installed! SimPE features a very easy way to create your own Recolors with the "Wizards of SimPE" Application included in this Download.

It also has plugins for:
+ Sim Skills/Characters, Relations
+ Family Members, Family Ties
+ Sim Memories
+ Text Resources
+ ObjectData, ObjectFunctions
+ BHAV, BCON, TTAB, TTAs
+ Neighborhood and Sim Browser

But SimPE is still an alpha Software, so don't forget to create your own backups (even though SimPE has a builtin backup Feature now).

If you don't know how to handle rar Files, you can alos download a self extraction Version of the SimPE on the SimPE Homepage at http://sims.ambertation.de/

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Thank you so much, Quaxi, for keeping the .RAR archive for download (even w/ the setup version available).

I thought a setup was unneeded, but is a hell of people asking how to handle rar files around here. *shrugs*

Thanks mate.

So, now we have the blue and the red labels in the Sim Browser plugin. Which is safe to delete (clones)?

Btw, there's no way to delete the Sim package file from there?

I have SimPE but still can't figure out how to clone exact duplicate copies of Sims. Is there a detailed tutorial posted someplace I can read?

When I try to start the SimPE program, I get the following message:

"The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application"

:fight: I am not sure where it should have been installed, but I have tried a number of locations with, still with the same result.

Can someone perhaps give me a clue as to what I have done wrong??

You need .NET Framework 1.1 to run the program. If you haven't got it on cd you can get it from the windows update site.

I experiemented around and am still trying to get desirable results. I had the same problems with a Sims 1 Mod Program. For me, this is the best way to find out what works best for you. When you finally figure it out, you will just go on a hacking spree.

Honestly, if you don't know what you are doing, DO NOT SAVE ANY CHANGES. I clone objects before hacking them so I still have the original. I'd advise you do the same.

You can download the Setup File from the SimPE Homepage (sims.ambertation.de).

sims.abertation.de takes you to Shells24.com (Corporate Hosting Solutions). English is not spoken at the site and their doesn't appear to be any connection to SimPE.

JonLocke: Your URL is missing the M "sims.aMbertation.de".

I just tried this link and was taken directly to Quaxi's web site.

Thanks Tazz. I clicked on the hot link and was again taken to a German website called Shells24.com. I thought I was in the Twilight Zone. As it turns out one of programs I was running seems to be the culprit. Ghost Surf was disconnected and everything is fine now. Thanks again.

thuh granantlet:

You have to download the freakin' huge Microsoft .Net program from mic-soft fer windez simply because that's the way SimPE works. Deal with the wait--SimPE is worth it.

Is there a tutorial on using the simsurgery plugin? How do I change the looks of a sim with it? For example, if I wanted to change Titania Summerdream (from Neighborhood 3) so she didn't have pointed ears, how would I do it?
Thanks for any help.

Hi I downloaded v 0.12 and noticed there was a newer one so have downloaded that now. I only dlld it yesterday so never installed the older version, the rar contains all the plug in folders and various misc files. Anyway my question is do I need to extract these files into my v0.14 folder or are they automatically contained within the exe?
