Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
In my continued pursuit of recreating The City of Lights, this is my rendition of the Paris Opera House. Although it lacks the subterranean river and sewers that the Phantom is said to haunt, it is richly decorated and functional. Positioned on a large lot, the opera house encases the famous staircase and vaulted arcades that proceeds the auditorium -- complete with "box 5." I left the landscape simple, since the theater is located within the city. Enjoy.

*EDIT -- Please DO NOT upload this lot, or any of my other works, to the Exchange and/or any paysites without my consent.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

OMG, it's beautiful. I just downloaded your Arc de Triomphe lot and now I'll have to create un petit Parisien neighbourhood to show off your lots. Thank you so much for an amazing lot! À Paris

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Default Absolutely Gorgeous!
Vindicare, I must say that I haven't yet come across such a beautiful lot, either residential or community as your L'Opera de Paris. The creativity and the work involved leaves me in total awe and admiration for you. I am so happy about the panels that I can use in other houses which I happen to decorate in French Provincial and/or Renaissance style. Thank you very much for all!

Oh my, this is beautiful.... a couple of questions though. Is there any way you could make this a residential lot? Also, how could I add a basement or underground area for my phantom sim?

something is not right for me.
I put it in my neighbourhood and enter it, but it just kinda stuck (I mean, it stays in the loading screen for half an hr, that's not normal right, or is it?)
SO I am wondering do i need to downlod anything else?
Sorry, but i am new to all this stuff

When entering a large lot, experiencing a slow load time could be attributed to a variety of things. Such factors include how large the lot file is (e.g., the number of objects, npcs, wallpaper, etc) and your system specs (e.g., the amount of ram, disk drive time/average seek time, type of graphics card, processor speed, etc.) In designing this lot I reused wallpaper types, so as to limit the number of them, and I refrained from adding cash registers, optional objects and extra rooms. These I purposely left to the discretion of the user.

If you do a search through the forums you'll find others who've come across this type of problem and read the measures they took to speed up the load times. Hopefully some of the suggestions listed will be of benefit to you. Good luck.

I have the same "not loading" problem. I searched through forum and I got that there are some files that cause problems like that. My computer is Athlon 2500 and RAM is 728... Is not enough? Cause I reaally want to play all those beautiful lots!!!
