STARFLEET PERSONNEL FILE: Troi, Deanna
Rank: Commander
Current assignment: U.S.S. Titan
Full Name: Deanna Troi
Date of birth: Terran equivalent: March 29, 2336
Place of birth: Near Lake El-Nar, Betazed
Parents: Betazoid Ambassador Lwaxana Troi and the late Starfleet Lt. Ian Andrew Troi
Education: Starfleet Academy, 2355-59; advanced study at University on Betazed
Marital status: Married to William Riker
Children: One, deceased, via alien conception taking human form: Ian Andrew Jr., b/d 2365
Quarters: Formerly, Enterprise Deck 9/Room 0910
Office: Formerly, Enterprise Deck 8.

Although actually of mixed human and Betazoid heritage, Troi is one of many from her planet active in the Starfleet counselor corps and was ship's counselor for the U.S.S. Enterprise throughout its service life and now aboard its successor namesake. Troi's race is known for its inter-species telepathy and its emotional empathy with most other species whether on board the ship, in a ship at close proximity or on the planet below. While such a capacity has heightened her counseling skills, they have also aided her captain's command mission decisions on several occasions, including hostile encounters, negotiations, and first-contact missions.

Biography excerpt taken from StarTrek.com

Well, there's not much to say I've worked a lot on recreating this wonderful character played by Marina Sirtis and I hope you will find it a worthy attempt since I really tried to make her justice

Hair on pictures is by Helga, found under genetics->hair>page 22.

Since there is no appropriate Troi outfit out there and I don't really have the time to create it myself (and Nixnivis promised she'll eventually do it ), I've used this Peggy dress, find it here

Thank you all,love
Misty

Yes, beauty is subjective. That's what is beautiful about beauty, everyone has their own very subjective concept of what is beautiful. That's what I hate about these forms of media (fashion magazines, etc) that tell people "this is beauty, and if you don't look like this, you're not beautiful." That's why we have so many girls starving themselves to death these days.

Personally, I thought the most beautiful woman on any Star Trek was Vanessa Branch, who played Naomi Wildman as an adult (you might recognize her now as the Orbit Gum spokeswoman--Fabulous!), and the best looking regular character was Nana Visitor, Kira Nerys on DS9. A lot of guys liked Seven of Nine, but while she had a nice looking face, I'm not a fan of giant hooters.

And to answer your question, yes, Troi and Reiker's wedding is at the beginning of the movie Nemesis.

And by the way, I'm not saying Troi wasn't beautiful. She was. I'm just saying that the sim looks better.

LOL...I kind of liked Dax...she made spots on the face kind of fashionable, and with me and my acne scars along my jawline, I kind of appreciated that!

What I loved about Deanna was how she had two sides to her--the calm, cool, collected and extremely professional counselor--and the frustrated, half-crazed daughter dealing with her larger-than-life overbearing mother. It was always so funny and so real when her mom would show up and kind of embarrass her in front of Capt. Picard. You'd see this poised polished woman go a bit teen-girl beserk and trying but not quite succeeding to rein it in. Oh gosh, great memories. I wish the DVD set wasn't so expensive. I'd like to watch the show again on my own schedule.

I don't remember Nemesis. I must have missed that movie. I thought I'd seen them all but I guess not. It must have come out around the time my schedule was super hectic.

What if one little pop could open a world of wonder
So sensory, so satisfying. It's the magic Friskies makes happen every day in so many ways
Friskies, feed the senses. Cat sez eff that, gimme cheezburgers.

Easily the best and most stunning Troi I have ever seen. Thank you for creating her.

Nemesis was pretty good. It involves a plot to take over the Romulan Empire by a mad man and the peculiar relationship between that person and Picard. I don't want to give away anything, but I'll say that in order for the crew of the Enterprise to survive a vital member of the crew must sacrafice themself.

Also, if you look closely, Wesley Crusher--my favorite--is seen at the wedding reception for Troi & Reiker.

My favorite movie was First Contact.

Back to the whole beauty issue for a minute. There is one instance when I think most of us can agree that they used the wrong person for the wrong thing. In the fifth Trek movie, when they trick the bad guys into coming out into the desert unarmed, they used Uhura to lure them by dancing naked. Now, in her day, she was a fox, but by the late 80s, she was well past her prime. As for me, I'd have run in the other direction, rather than towards her.

well actually the star trek TNG notes mentioned that Troi was to be exotic looking, possible greek heritage, and marina sitris was greek...

Believe it or not at first Sitris auditioned for the role of Tasha Yar, and Denise Crosby auditioned for Troi

I think she would look perfect with that old lost hair mesh from SAU. Myos Female Hair 14:

Hopefully someone is lucky enough to have this in their game saved up. (like me)

Jon - Actually, way back when I had Troi in CF, I've tried that hair on her, but it didn't look right. It's a shame too, cause it's such a pretty curly hair.

When I downloaded it, the downloader told me it required an expansion pack I don't have. That gave me sads. ):

Also, since people were talking (a few years ago lol) about Troi marrying Riker, I have to put in my two cents and say that I hate Riker and that Troi and Worf should've gotten married. They would've made oddly beautiful children.

P.S. both of the links you posted for the hair are now broken ):
