Daisy: mod conflict. No doubt you have some mod which modifies the same outfits.

Thank you so much for this! I loathed going through all the Maxis clothes and hair every time.

ditto on everyone's sentiments about the base game's default clothing & hair; it's just awful & painful to the human eye. as far as "if u don't like it, why don't u make you're own game?"

easy: the sims was made to be customized and is the most customizable game franchise in the world. it is meant to be just a framework to build off of. if EA didn't want people doing what we are doing, there are a number of things they could do to prevent & or slow it down. it would make the game unpopular tho, and they would lose a hard won fan base. the resource exists to encourage our present activity.

okay, i digress. now question:

what are the possible consequences for pregnancy, birthdays, npcs that are made after this mod is in place, etc? after not playing ts2 at all for 2 years, i finally bought ep's 1 & 2 (no intention of buying the securom ep's though or the stuff packs). although i have not played yet (i am just 'getting my ducks in a row' by getting my custom content before i fire it up full force), i have noticed that there are a lot of sim changing events, like vampirism, lycanthropy, zombification, etc. will this effect these events too? i know basically it is just a skin change, but it doesn't hurt to ask. what about electrocution?

thanks again btw, much needed mod.

CONTROL ALT DELETE.
Rest In Peace Mootilda.

I do like most of Maxis hairstyles, almost as much as I dislike their clothing!
I would love if we had the option to keep hairstyles, while losing the world's ugliest clothes!! :D
Thank you for this.

I am also interested in getting an update for BV. I absolutely LOVE this mod! I have so much CC that I don't even want to deal with the clothing and hair that Maxis packs. Thank you so much for this!

Jordi's last message in his journal was in November and he said he was going to quit modding since it does not interest him anymore.

Is there anyone out there who would like to take up his work?

Here's one for Bon Voyage: http://www.modthesims2.com/member/s...ad.php?t=271800

Unfortunately I do not have any of the Stuff Packs, so someone else will have to do those (or wait until I get them.)

Is there a way to hide the H&M clothes, but only for Adults?
I really liked some of the things they made for the teens, but that was it.
The rest was just clutter in CAS

Even though with this mod all the maxis clothes are hidden in my game, when I hit the dice button in CAS to randomize my sim, that sim is always wearing the one same maxis outfit, never any of my custom clothing installed. Which is not really a problem, I can just select what they wear, but, when sims are born in-game, will they all be wearing the same maxis outfit untill I buy them new clothes? Or will the game choose their outfits from the custom content I have installed? I hope my question makes sense.

ETA: Well, I tested it, and every sim born in my game was wearing the exact same maxis outfit whenever they grew to a new stage. So my new question is, is there an available mod out there that will make the game choose from custom clothing?

skywyre, custom clothes won't spawn on sims unless they have been townified.

Thanks for the response, but I don't know what you mean by townified. How do i do that?

This is simply perfect for limiting the ridiculous combinations of top and bottom outfits when I generate NPCs on my game, be it townies, downtownies or whatever.

Thanks for this incredible work!

Hey, I think I've got a bug here! I have Double Deluxe installed at the moment and trust me, I made sure I downloaded each one I needed. When I started up Bodyshop I noticed that there where three or four Maxis outfits still remaining and I also noticed that the little trash can button wasn't disabled like it usually is for Maxis content. So being as curious as I am... I clicked it... and apparently disabled all of the hacks because all of the Maxis content reappeared. So exciting! Do you think I can get the hacks to work again? How?

bel0vedautumn: I did that and it apparently deleted the maxis skintone files. I had to reinstall my game. I still have about five outfits per category...weird.

TO MAKE CUSTOM CLOTHES GENERATE ON TOWNIES:

#1 open the file with SimPe. Just the clothing part not the mesh.
Click on the GZPS file. It's the one that the name appears on says something weird like
afbodyunderwear etc. this will vary and it's name is not usually the same as the outfit's reall name but trust me on this.

#2 Once it pops up (I use the BV edition of SimPe) click on the version entry to the left. Something should pop up over to the right. There will be a button there that says
delete. Click on it. It shouldn't be there anymore. Then go back over to the left and click on the product entry. Do the same as above and delete that also.

#3 Now go to the flags entry. It usually says 0x00000008, go over to the right again and there is a place to edit it. Change it to 0x00000000.

#4 Now over at the left once more there is a creator entry. Click on the left and it should pop up over at the right. Change whatever it says to 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 . Rather than type it in everytime you can use the keyboard shortcuts by hightlighting what you want to copy, and then press the control key and c to copy, and then by pressing the control key and v key to paste.

#5 Go over to the right and press commit.

#6 Close SimPE and save. Now your townies will/may generate with your custom clothes.

Note: After you edit your package SimPE will generate a .BAK file with the same name as your package file. This is a backup of your unedited file. Keep it if you did something wrong or changed your mind about you wanting random people wearing that outfit, or if you did something wrong. Or delete it if you don't want copys cramping your hard drive. To get the original file back rename whateveritwas.bak to whateveritwas.package

Oh wow, I'm totally taking the one that hides base game clothes. Those're some nasty rags, those are. :p

I'm having a bit of a problem. I decided I wanted the clothing back (I couldn't find nice formal wear for men) so I deleted the files, all of them. But the clothing still doesn't show up. I don't know what's wrong.
