Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
This mod hides *all* the default Maxis clothing & hair (+hats) from the game from the catalog. Included are the base game and the expansion packs.
I have not included the X-mas outfits (use this mod).

Just place the files into your Downloads or SavedSims folder. If you want them back, just remove the package.

You will still be able to use all these clothes and hairstyles in debugging mode of CAS, but not normally or when buying clothes. Also, townies should no longer be able to pick hairstyles & clothes from hidden sets — this means that if you hide everything except the FFS outfits, all townies will only wear FFS clothes. If you hide /everything/, this backfires: townies will select clothes from all sets again. But your Sims still won't see them when buying clothes, and they won't show up in CAS
Townies /will/ use custom hair & hats, as long as they're properly binned.

These mods will also hide all Maxis clothing and hair from Bodyshop.

HideClothesXP0 hides the base game clothes,
HideHairXP0 hides base game hair,
XP1 hides University clothes + hair,
XP2 hides Nightlife clothes + hair,
XP3 hides Open for Business clothes + hair (including the mascot outfits),
SP1 hides Family Fun Stuff clothes + hair, and
SP2 hides Glamour Life Stuff clothes + hair.
XP4 hides Pets clothes + hair
XP5 hides Seasons clothes + hair,
SP4 hides Celebrations! clothes + hair
SP5 hides the H&M Fashion stuff (just clothes, there's no hair in this pack)

Please note
This mod will not fully work if you use any clothing unhiders or other mods which enable hidden clothes. I suggest you remove all other clothing mods if you still see Maxis clothes.
Also, because of how the game works, you should get all mods for your expansion packs, or unexpected results may occur: later expansions actually /enable/ a lot of clothing, so if you do not get all files you will still see some of these clothes or hair.

Tink, you could try deleting your groups.cache file and your accessory.cache file(found in your My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 directory)...sometimes a mod will leave residual effects until these files are rebuilt, which will happen automatically the next time you restart your game.

It's quite safe to delete these files, some ppl do this as a rule each time they play as a safeguard...the only downside is that, because the game must create replacement files, it may take a bit longer to load than normal the next time you play your game.

Good luck!

I did that. It didn't work I deleted everything in that folder but my dowloads and the CEP folder. I don't know what to do.

*EDIT* I fixed it. It ended up being a residual from a lot I downloaded, I don't know which one though.

I still have some clothing showing up like base game clothing. Its only one or 2 outfits per category/age group. I'm not sure why? I have no other mods in my downloads right now when I check to see if everything is hidden. I also need to get a hider for kitchen and bath, but thats the only sp thats not hidden.

I wanted to hide only all EPs but keep the base game content (clothes and hair) so I downloaded all files except XP0s because it is for base game (creator says) and it hides the base game also... How is that possible?
