You are genius Lethe!!!

Thanks a lot for all this fantastic kitchen stuff! A medieval kitchen was absolutely in need! I hated it to see my ancient sims using a modern owen etc... so you did a great job! Keep on with your ideas and your good work!

Omg, I love you!!!!(j/k, of course) I can't stand having to use that modern food processor in the medieval and victorian houses I create. This is wonderful!

It is wonderful. People like you make up for the few shortcoming in the Sims, not everyone is American middle class, etc. Thanks again.

Oh wow! Thank you so much for making the mortar and pestle!! I almost mentioned an ice box/food storage thing instead of a fridge. I'm trying to figure out what would be the appropriate replacement for a fridge.. Some sort of pantry or something. Anyone know?
I'm not trying to pester you into making one, don't worry. I'm just pondering... Anyone know?
I really really really appreciate that you went and made the mortar and pestle. I can't wait to try it out!
Thank you!!

Yeah, a great addition to this would be a fridge that looks like a cupboard or pantry or something.

Arenaria on TSR has made a 19th century century/country kitchen with an antique oven and icebox (and just today updated with a coffeegrinder, breadbox/microwave, deep sink, and some other stuff). I have a Victorian neighborhood so I'm getting a lot of satisfaction for that. However, I've been hungering for something different that I could use for the poorer families. These are perfect for them. Also, I have been dying for a suitable replacement for a waste bucket ... and the mortar and pestle is perfectly inspired! :D

Annalisa and suceress,
about the pantry
I've been thinking about that since the day I started on the kitchen
but I'm afraid that what I have in mind is too hard for me to make at this point
and it's no good making something that's only half good
I will check out the one on tsr though (hope its free right now)
thanks for the tip!

I saw that someone named cashcraft made some cool picnic baskets modded from refrigerators. None of it is free right now though. :-(
I'm trying to find out if he/she has a website.
If I didn't have 3 everquest accounts, 3 star wars galaxies accounts, 2 world of warcraft accounts, a subscription to allakhazam, and really high medical bills (cardiologists are expensive) I would get a TSR premium membership.

I meant to ask, where did you find the texture for the stove? It looks really cool.
I'm also wondering if there are cabinets with that brick/stone look.. I may have to see if I can learn how to make some.
Thank you so much for making this stuff. If you ever need me to find pictures of stuff for you, let me know. I can spend hours and hours searching through google images to find stuff. :-)

suceress,
I hoard textures , I have a big map full of all sorts of brick, wood and metal textures. The stove is a combination of about four of them, with added copy/pasting for the arch and some colour adjustments and resizing
I hardly even remember where I got all of them. I just go to google images and type 'copper' or 'old brick' :D

Awesome! I also have a whole bunch of pictures and junk that I save for reference. :-)
Someone got me photoshop 7.0 as a gift (I think they got it for like $50 in ebay) so now I can play with textures and such. I'm still trying to figure out how to use it but I see there is a feature to save textures. It should come in handy.
Once I attach my wacom drawing tablet and figure out how everything works I'll play around with stuff some more. Then I can try my hand at making stuff. Right now I'm just a wannabe.

Thank you so much for these! I was getting prepared to make the same set myself. I even researched the oven and cookpot (and from the look of it, found the same pictures on the web as you did). Fantastic job!!
