This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.

This is the ultimate part of the expansion set: I think now there are all the possible shapes to complete and coordinate the Independent Expressions Windows.

As you know the originals windows have NOT the same mesh: the single window has a double chequered frame (top and bottom), while the 2-tile one has only one chequered frame at the top.
Now you can coordinate all the types and the shapes as you like.
  • Single Window with only one chequered frame.
    ML_IndependentExpression_TallWindow_Single.rar

  • Double Window with double chequered frame.
    ML_IndependentExpressions_TallWindow_2Tiles.rar

  • Single Window with one chequered frame placed in the middle of two tiles.
    ML_IndependentExpression_TallWindow_CenterWalls.rar
  • Single Window with Double chequered frame placed in the middle of two tiles.
    ML_IndependentExpression_TallWindow2_CenterWalls.rar

  • 3 Tiles Tall Window with double chequered frame.
    ML_IndependentExpression_TallWindow2_3Tiles.rar

The diagonal mesh looks like..........the 4 tiles one........
This thing has been made on purpose, it's not a mistake.

  • 4 Tiles Tall Window with double chequered frame.
    ML_IndependentExpression_TallWindow2_4Tiles.rar

The 3 and 4 tiles shapes with only one chequered frame at the top are already available for download at the
"Independent Expressions Inc." - Expansion Set PART - II

In the archive ML_IndependentExpression_PART-III.rar you'll find ALL this items.

In-game usage

Extract the packages from the rar archives and put them in the Downloads folder (use an archive program, or the Q-Xpress auto-installer)

You'll find the items in the Build Mode catalog - Windows, as usually.

All the elements have the automatic diagonal that shows up when you you put a window on a diagonal wall; the only exception is the 4 tiles window which is tool long to have a it.

RECOLORS
All these elements borrow the textures from the original "Independent Expressions Inc." window therefore, if you want to recolour them just create a recolour for the original window.
Use Object Workshop and create a recolour for the Window - 2 Tile - Plate Glass, that is the master of the entire set.
Your recolor will apply to all the original windows, as well as to these new elements.
Every recolour for the original window that you may already have will be automatically available for all the new shapes.

Thanks very much! I also don't know why EA/Maxis didn't match up the window designs, but these are great. :D

Sorry Lianne, but I have tried several times in my game but I can't reproduce your problem.
Can you make a screenshot, please?

Ummm...well...matching 2 story windows, both two and 4 tile; matching side-light windows for next to doors. (You did ask, sorta-kinda! lol!)

Mille grazie per questi finestre, soni mei favoriti. Sorry for any spelling/gramar mistakes but it's been 27 years since I moved back to the US after living in Italy for only 6, so I've been not living there for 4.5 times as long as I lived there!

Thank you very much for these great sets. The "Independent Expressions" doors and windows are my favourites in the game.

Oops! Found some more possibilities: both the short and tall 2-tiled windows in the center of THREE tiles. Was working on a lot for a building competition and discovered that I could use them. I do love all the work you've already done. These and the Belhovenmaro or however it's spelled are my faves.

Absolutely Brilliant!! I love these and use these windows and doors in most of my homes. I can't seem to find the Double Window centered between 3 tiles. Am I missing it, or is there a possibility you could make one if there isn't already one? Thanks in advance. Love your work!!
