Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Water as neighborhood terrain, just in time for summer! Just place the file in your Downloads folder, and all dirt neighborhoods will change to the water terrain. When you want your dying grass back, just remove it from the Downloads folder.

Matching floortile, terrain paint, and mod for temperate neighborhoods can be found here: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=167299

In the neighborhood view, if you don't like the way the roads look, (they do look different, but I left them this way so you can see where to place lots) there's a simple cheat that fixes this. Press Ctrl+Shift+C, then in the box that comes up type "boolProp displayNeighborhoodRoads false" without quotes. The roads disappear, but you can still place lots there. Change "false" to "true" to turn off the cheat.

Feel free to use any of these in stories, lots, whatever. Just don't claim any of them as your own, and a link back here is appreciated.

~Coming Soon: Same mod for desert and concrete neighborhoods. Check back in a bit! 380)

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

I'm having problems.

This download only turns the roads in my dirt neighborhoods to water, the rest of the terrain is still dirt.

I put it in the download folder, whats wrong? I have uni, nightlife, ofb, and pets

heh, this might be an a-typical 'thanks'... but... i somehow accidentally downloaded a similar mod (temperate to water) and i wasnt into the waterworld for all my neighborhoods (i love the temperate/grassy terrain)... i have been searching, in varying different ways, for WEEKS,to find out how to remove the water terrain... i finally stumbled onto the correct combo of search words, and found this post... thanks to your explaination of installation and file name, i was able to find the 'water' file in question, and remove it! *claps hands in glee*
i digress... THANK YOU!
much peace

I made a very simple one useing the Waterworld as my guide to help me decide what to replace, how etc. and now I'm waiting for permissin from Qwinsepia to upload it here. I don't want to violate any creator rights, so I won't upload it before having a permission, but it is made.

This terrain is evil, probably the worst thing I've ever downloaded. Not only did it look horrible, but it wouldn't uninstall out of my game. I had to download an over ride so that my dirt neighborhoods would have grass because the grass ones were all flooded! I suggest anyone thinks twice before downloading this because its definitly not worth it.

This doesn't work for me. Only the roads are water. I downloaded Rowena's spacesky, modeled after yours, and it also doesn't work for me--only the roads have changed in neighborhood view. I have all expansion and stuff packs. No hack conflicts shown.
