Entering a lot screws up the camera

I just tried your camera.txt replacement. I can look at the neighborhood just fine but when I enter a lot it zooms way way out and I can't zoom back in to my lot.
I did not change anything in your text.

This is what I did to install the text. I went into:
my documents\ea games\The sims2\cameras
I renamed cameras.txt cameras.saf

I pasted your text into a text document that I named cameras.txt

Is this correct?

Help Please!!!
I just reinstalled University and Pets and I put the camera.txt file in the Cameras folder and it's not working! I tried puting the camera.txt in all expansion cameras folder then just in The Sims 2 folder and it's still not working! It's driving me crazy cause it worked before. What am I doing wrong?
Any help is deeply appreciated.

This mod is still working for me, two years later. I love it. Unfortunately I've noticed that it no longer appears when you search for camera mods. Wish it would because it is simple and easy to use.

hey, On my game it still doesn't allow me to put the lots wherever I want. Can somebody help me with this?

This is a camera modification. It alters how much of the neighbourhood you can see. It has nothing to do with lot placement. Lots can still only be placed where they can normally be placed; e.g. connected to a road.
This mod just lets you see more road to place lots by.

The first post tells you what to do with the text file. You put it in the game's cameras folder and let it overwrite the original. Make sure you make a copy of the original first though and save it some place else like on your desktop of in your documents folder.

Many thanks! I was getting annoyed with the Downtown view being so in-your-face that I looked around and found your file. It's so weird to finally go anywhere and see lots easily whereas I had to turn around in certain ways to see them. Thank you so much!
