did for a second think of trying to work out how to do a script mod then went and checked what was involved and decided to use the cheats that came with the game lol

In your game settings, did you re-enable mods? Mods are automatically disabled when patching now (due to so many being incompatible when there's a patch). Don't simply turn it back on, however, make sure all your mods are compatible and updated for the patch. This one SHOULD be working.

I figured out why this mod wasn't working. I was putting the pyo/zip file in the main ts4 folder.

I guess during my absence from the game, things changed and now the pyo/zip files go in the mods folder and not the main ts4 folder. Is this right? And if so, when did these changes take place? I haven't found any reading material on this change and hope i've put the mods where they are supposed to be.

These mods have always gone into C:user/my documents/electronic arts/sims 4/ mods

Script mods remain zipped in the root of the mods folder (can not be placed in sub folders) package files can be placed in sub folders within the mods folder.

You do have to change the resource.cfg file in notepad (or similar) to be able to see inside subfolders.
Houses and Sims go in the tray folder, although some can be placed in the mods folder if they have been made into a package file. You have to read the creator notes to find this out.

I only have this mod on my game, no other mods. I have made sure that Enable Cheat mods and Script mods are selected in the Options>Other menu in the game. I have even taken the mod out and then put it back in. I am really frustrated as I miss my cheat mod!! I need to add some traits to my Sims, traits that can only be added if they complete an aspiration. I need some help on what I should do.

make sure that you have the testing cheats turned on. i had to reenter that cheat code for each household i play.

p.s. mod still works for me with the update and get together

The reason this mod doesn't work for some of us (including myself) is because our game is now designed to run either the 32-bit or 64-bit version of The Sims 4 according to our computer's operating systems. Now I'm not much of a code junkie myself so as far as enabling debug mode for 64-bit goes I have no knowledge nor experience with hex editing, but if anyone's willing to give me some pointers and things to be considered for hex editing I'll happily write a mod for this so we can have it available on our 64-bit game versions.

Worked for me after installing Get Together. This morning, It didn't work. I adjusted where the script was located (just one folder deep in mods) and it works now. Thank you again, this is a must have for testing!

No, but you are very rare.

You must enable testingcheats. I do that in MC Command Center

If you remove the file C:\Document\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\Resource.cfg and start game a new file will be created that looks like this:

Priority 500
PackedFile *.package
PackedFile */*.package
PackedFile */*/*.package
PackedFile */*/*/*.package
PackedFile */*/*/*/*.package

Then you can have a deeper file structure. Up to 4 subfolders. You can add more if you like by adding more lines with more /*.
