At first glance, I'd say no; but I *have* Nightlife, and even though I can apparently deactivate it using the BaseGameStarter, I still have the doubt that some resources from nightlife are used, in my game, when needed.
So, please, tell me: does the Mustang work fine for you, without nightlife? Which EP do you have?
Does the Mustang allow your sims to Take a ride, Install alarm, Go to work, Go to community lot, Enter car (with additional Turn on/off lights an Turn on/off stereo)?


I've fixed the bug by including in the package the very same texture (from Pets) that the car required; so, I'm not responsible of the darkness of the lights... Do you use the Radiance? From the screenshot, I'd say yes, but I'm not sure...

I have one question -- does this mean that if i don't have nightlife but i do have ofb, pets, and seasons, and i download the maxis car kit, i can download ANY car from MTS2? if i do, will it show up and work?

I'm glad you made recolors. I like to have objects in various color options for my game. I was wondering... since i have Pets and am apparently not affected by the lights bug (haven't checked yet), will downloading only the recolors do? Or do i also need your mesh?

I had downloaded their car two days ago and installed in into a folder by itself and yesterday I downloaded your fantastic car and it did not overwrite the one from EA. Just thought I would let you know, I also see they have the same name on the files so not sure why it did not.

No, the other cars won't work. The Mustang contains all the files it needs to work, while the vast majority of custom cars use the files included in Nightlife (so that if don't have NL, the cars don't work).


The title of the thread says "*Recolourable* Mustang" The light fix is a small addition, but the main focus is on enabling the colour options. The Maxis car doesn't accept recolours: delete it and replace it with mine.



Of course, you are supposed to install my car in the very same folder where you installed the Maxis one, so to overwrite it.
If you want to install my car in a different folder, then you must delete manually the Maxis one, otherwise you will have problems.

I tried recoloring it, but all I get is an empty package.
