This mod is updated to V8 for the 1.21 patch.

The mod is updated to V7 for the 1.20 patch.

This mod is updated to V6 for the 1.19 patch.

This mod is updated to V5 for the 1.16.61 patch.

Updated to V3 for the January 13th patch.

Updated to V2 for the December 16th patch.

This mod alters all double and single beds in the game to give the same energy and comfort as the most expensive beds, the fastest energy gain and best comfort gain. No uncomfortable buffs exist from sleeping in any bed when using this mod.

The numbers on the UI in Buy Mode when looking at the beds are unchanged, 10, 9, 6 on Energy, etc. Ignore those numbers, they are not precisely perfectly accurate in vanilla game regardless.

Also the "Daydream" interaction is enabled on beds, so the sim can daydream/relax on beds for 60-90 minutes and will get some comfort back from the bed (not that I actually know how to watch this Comfort level, I don't see it on the UI anywhere). This daydreaming isn't useful for anything, I simply enabled it here because it exists but is apparently disabled for some reason.

Note that to make the Daydream interaction work, a reference number must be added to each of the bed files, all the other files in this mod, therefor this Daydreaming is included here since all of these files are used in this mod.

Unzip the file and use the .package file in the Mods folder or a subfolder.

The XML files used in this mod are these:

Being as it modifies the actual bed XMLs, I don't think so. The custom bed maker will have to make a version compliant with this mod (daydreaming and proper energy/comfort)

1/8/2016: New avatar! Pre-censored for EA's approval.
3/19/2015: Teens are too close to YAs. EA needs to either shorten the teens, or add preteens and make YAs look older.

I often hated to buy a pretty bed simply because it only had +1 on it! I thought that was so bogus anyhow. Too bad the beds couldn't be tinkered with!!!

So will this automatically work with new beds Maxis releases through Expansions or the Store(whenever that happens)?

Have to say THANK YOU for this though, I've been wanting this mod since the game was released!

It depends on what kind of "custom bed" you're talking about. The Mission Bed default replacement mod which is here on MTS on the front page, I consider to be a custom bed, it is CC. It will work fine with my mod because it replaces the Image files only on the original beds, otherwise it is using the EA files for this bed.

Ty so much. Now you finally get to decorate your bedroom to your liking instead of to your stats.
Is this possible with couches/chairs aswel?

I would think it's possible with the couches and chairs but I haven't investigated, they don't interest me much. What's wrong with the couches and chairs exactly? I've never really noticed if they have any of these stats on them, but if it's comfort that they give, what difference does it make? I don't manage to see "comfort" on my sim; if he's gaining some comfort back or not, I can't see it anywhere.

I was only using one particular bed when I decorated my homes, not many choices when they mark over half the available beds as "uncomfortable". Thanks so much Shimrod - this mod was just what I needed!

Ah well since sims get uncomfortable from low quality chair i thought it was the same thing. If they sit on it for some time writing for instance.
It's not too bothersome but wondered if it worked the same as the beds
