This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Hi guys n gals,
Perhaps someone could try out this altered mesh in the game for any bugs.
Perhaps some of you talented skiners could come up with a better skin! I'm really pants at skinning! (And Upload it for all of us to have fun with!)

Hi, neeanu, as Callum91 said, download the zip; extract the files to your:

'My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads' folder.

It should then show up in both the game and Bodyshop. Hope this sorts things for ya!

Sorry, it's gonna be difficult to make this one for adults folks - at the moment at least, but maybe, soon ...

Many thanks to everyone for their kind comments -

There is a thread about changing adult clothing to teen that I have tried and found to work well. Maybe the reverse can be done; give it a shot!

Hm... Yes, I know that, but for these new meshes I don't need to download some file to make the new body type appear? Like for the new mesh hair, someone told me I needed to get a file to show the hair or it would just appear like a bunny head, which it did. :/

And is there a way to change the clothing but still keep the body type.

Sorry If I'm not making any sense. Rambling. Habit. Oo

Hi, no you shouldn't need anything apart from the savedsim.package and the 'new' MESH_.package from the zip file, in your downloads folder. If you want to re-skin the 'new' MESH, just create a new project in Bodyshop using this skin as a base, and alter it like any other clothing project - it's keyed into this MESH, so any new projects based on this one will also be keyed to this Mesh.

Hope this helps ...? Or am I still mis-reading your question?

Hi, I've had a look and tried this method - I think all that's happening is a change of textures, not base Mesh. If there's an adult mesh that's similar to this mesh the textures can be copied over to create the same effect for an adult - however, this teen Mesh has the extra 'shiney' env. textures so it won't have the same effect. But hey, go ahead try it - it should be ok; maybe try the altered adult-female-full-body dress with heels in my 'New(ly Altered) Meshes' thread(?) In the meantime, I'm playing with trying to scale the whole Mesh to adult size, but progress is slow ...

Happy Simming,

Would you mind linking me as to where I can find savedsim.package and the 'new' MESH_.package? I feel such a fool but I can't seem to find it.

@aardvarkams:

Nice work again!!! Is it possible that you alter the the heel itself and make it thinner?? So that I'll look a bit like these:

Wow, Ahmird2! Nice sexy skin - thank you (especially for posting it!)

And Chaos2002, I'm working on the thigh-highs, please be patient ...

And neeanu, I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time of things -

1: From the Windows Start Menu, choose 'My Documents';
In there you should find a folder 'EA Games' (Snap2)
(If you can't it may be controlled by your 'Administrator' - (whoever controls the computer)

2: Go into the 'EA Games' folder, and you should find a folder called 'The Sims 2';
Inside that you should find folders like (Snap4) - if not create a New Folder called 'Downloads'

3: Download the 'teensiren.zip' on page 1 of this thread. When you unzip this file, you should have 3 files:
MESH_amstfcouture01.package;
7f4a0320_teencouture.package;
and a Readme.txt

Copy the first 2 files to your 'My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads' Folder, and it should show up in both your game, and Bodyshop, under female teen everyday wear!

Hope this is of some help?

Yes, it did thank you! I got that far and it appears without flaw. But more so, I was being a nag about the clothes...

wait,

Do not answer me unless you have time to kill. I don't want you or anybody to waste time just for being nice.

.. So here is the question. Yes, it is in my game and BS but how do you change the clothes and still keep the body type. I clicked on the clothes as the base and once I found a set of material to put on the female the sim loses her figure. So in all, how do I go about doing this?

Neeanu, you need to have at least two skins made specifically for this mesh in order to be able to change the clothing.

...

Great mesh, too, BTW! This enourages me to make more Teen skins...

Thank you so much! This mesh is wonderful. Not only are the boots cool, but I love how you enhanced her figure and slimmed down the material on her arms. They always looked so bulky on the Maxis mesh.

There definately need to be more skins to take advantage of this mesh and I couldn't help but play around with photoshop for a bit... so here's another offering. Despite what's shown in the pic, only the clothing is included in the zip.

Thank you again! :D

EDIT: Sorry, I just read the sticky regarding uploading recolors. I've removed the zip file and will try to get it approved for download in the appropriate section.

EDIT: It was approved and can now be downloaded at the following thread: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=47556 if anybody is interested.

WOW Pook, that is one fine skin! Thank you so much!
Ummm ... I'm not sure if I've missed something - what's this about uploading recolours ...? I thought that just affected objects(?) Don't tell me it affects body meshes too!
Please reply .....

ps. As I'm so crap at skinning - and there are some obviously very talented skinners out there - is anyone interested in doing some skins for some meshes I'm making?

aardvarkams:

Thank you.

The sticky can be found at the top of the New Meshes section with the title "Posting Clothing/Hair Based on NEW MESHES?? - Please Read!!!!" The direct link: http://forums.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=46655

Maybe I misunderstood it? I didn't read it until after I'd uploaded.... Doh! :banghead:

I'd love to try making some skins (if I have the time... stupid job...). I'm not sure if they'd be any good; I haven't skinned much...

Thanks Pook - it looks like the New Meshes will be ok under the EP; the sticky is just for when you upload skins, about linking to the mesh etc. But thanks, had me worried there for a moment!
Anyway, I've got a few more 'Goth' designs I'm playing with - I could do with someone who would be interested in skinning with me; I'm full-time work as well, so it's only just for fun - I'm just so crap at skinning!
