Bad way to start but there is always a start.
I love the idea of your mod! Might even use it. (Here comes...) But, I find the wording used in the description and explanation rather jarring. For example the use of "punish" to talk about the sims receiving traits to reflect on their slow speed to learn something sounds bad; I think using a more neutral term like "they receive" would sound less intense. I also think terms like "below-average" instead of "insufficient", "average" instead of "adequate", and "above-average" instead of "superior" would sound less judgemental or elitist.
Changed my mind... That "maybe" becomes a "surely". I'm going to use this mod... I really like this idea, and can't wait to see how it goes in my game! Thank you for sharing this mod, and I hope my comment helps.

Sorry. I tried to find the most adequate terms but I have insufficient writing skills.

Love the concept but in my game this mod interferes with the add/remove traits function from UI Cheats mod. It throws an LE and prevents the list of traits from showing up. I'll have to do more experimenting when I have a chance to see what exactly is going on with it all.

Do you yet know if this is compatible or not with Lumpinou's Talents and Weaknesses mod? My instinct is to think it's compatible, but if it's not I'm worried about a game crash.

I don't use the mod you mentioned. But from what I looked at, it is compatible with my mod. Both can be used together without any problems.

I disagree with ladyKyss and think the wording works well with superior etc. I think it's important the wording and the icons are clearly different from each and easy to understand and this mod seems to do it well (this was my problem with Lumpinou's Talents and Weaknesses mod were I struggled to check what each trait meant). I haven't played with this mod yet but is there are way to restrict how many traits this mod adds automatically per sim? Because for me it gets too complicated and cluttered if there's too many traits in the traits section. Ideally it would be amazing to have different section for talents etc but that must be something very difficult.

Yep, I'm having the same problem. Although I love the idea of this mod, I absolutely can't do without the UI Cheats mod. So this one has to go.

It's too bad. I really like the idea of it. If the problem can ever be sorted out, it will be lovely.

I reproduced the LE you have been having. Some stuff in the Paranormal and Jungle Adventure traits conflict with UI cheats. I just fixed them and, now, have no more LEs.
Can you download the mod again and tell me if the problem was solved for you?

Strictly speaking, there is no restriction, but you don’t get many traits in most cases, as you can see in the picture below.

However, as you can see in the following, you will get a very high number of talents traits if you had insufficient skill level on all child skills.

I'm having a completely different issue. Maybe two issues. My child sims are having talents assigned, like good at mixology. Then the talents are changing randomly. Good at mixology might change to bad at mixology, or to good at baking. I can watch them change, and after maybe 30 seconds they will change again. They will also change the number of talents, from maybe 3 to 9 to 5...

It only happens to child sims, at least so far.

I don't think that child sims are supposed to get mixology at all?

Thank you for this. This is a wonderful idea to add some much needed challenge. This game is getting far too easy.

Also, as a native English speaker, I can tell you the words you chose in your description were perfect. Words should convey a writers meaning as succinctly as possible, not cater to the whims of others.

About the 1st problem you mentioned:
Your child already reached level 10 at creativity skill, right?
When a sim reaches level 10 at a child skill (motor, creativity, mental, or social), they will gain teen/adults talents traits linked to the maximized skill.
Because that, sometimes they may gain talents on things they cannot do (as Handiness or Mixology) besides the ones on things they can do (as Fishing).
You can interpret this as a preview of what they will be good or bad after growing up. You are seeing what your child will be good or bad at when they become a teenager.
Anyway, if this bothers you so much, you can manually remove the talent trait you don’t want.
To do that: (1) click in the sim you want to remove the trait (holding shift with “testing cheats” enabled); (2) find the FDSims4Mods menu; (3) choose the Give Me Some Talent Mod button; (4) choose the skill whose talent you want to remove; and (5) click in the “remove modifier” button.

About the 2nd problem you mentioned:
This is a bug .
After reaching level 10, they should receive talent traits only once, not at every 30 seconds...
I just fixed that bug, and after you install the fixed version, this problem will happen no more (I hope ).

That was probably the one child who maxed creativity 2 days into being a child. I always forget that, because I'm more concerned about him having positive sentiments and high relationships for everyone, but everyone else being hurt/deeply wounded/having a festering grudge for him. I'm raising a little sociopath, and I don't know where I went wrong.

I was more concerned about the changing traits.

With the update, the traits seem to be stable, but now I have an LE. Better Exceptions is blaming FD_GiveSimsSomeTalent_BaseGame.

When I corrected last bug you report I made a typo that broken the mental skill control.
Now, I fixed that ( and maybe not broken another thing when doing that...)

Okay I was thinking like max 3 per an adult . Is there anyway for me to edit this by myself? like if other people don't find it a problem.

There's no way to define the number of talent traits a sim will automatically get but you can manually remove any trait you want.
So, when a sim gain more than 3, you can remove the excess.
If you have UI cheats, you also can remove talent traits by clicking on them with right mouse button.

looks promising, i cant test it heavily atm but im definitely keeping an eye on this one and recommending it to everyone i know who thinks sims 4 needs more flavor, we need more things like this in the game to make "perfect" sims harder but more rewarding while also creating more unique feeling sims
