Everything seems to be working as described but the ultra speed rollback specifically is why I'm asking. It was extremely noticeable before and every single time I used it my game was guaranteed to be set back a few hours, with the sleeping speed being even worse... now it's smooth and when I unpause it's usually either exactly or super close to the time it should be.

I still get the time rollback myself especially when ultra speed is on for a while. Based on my analysis of the simulation code, fixing this will might require me to mess with the actual simulation function, which is kind of risky and very prone to breakage since this is basically the heart of the simulation process. I'm going to try another method, but I need loads of testing for this one first before I upload it.

A must have mod it helps a ton! If you do however still have issues with out of sync sims(ie if they have school at 8:00 and it doesn't appear right away) what you can do is wait until 8:00. Then hit ESC and *wait* until the action(ie go to school) appears in the queue then hit ESC again and voila, your sim is in sync.

Is it just me or this mod doesn't seem to work as intended? Or does it need a new game instead of a existing one to function? I still get moments of simulation lag where sims will stand idle for 20 seconds before moving on with their autonomy. I've tried everything up to clearing caches and yet this mod doesnt seem to have fixed anything but made it worse hitting speed 3 at times now results in not being able to switch back to "Normal" speed for a few seconds after installing this mod.

Can you try the latest version I uploaded just now (version 1.7)?

I tried 1.7 and I noticed a delay/lag when you switch between speed 1 and 2 right away on game start. Normally the game is quite responsive when you switch between speed 1 and 2. This kind of lag doesn't happen to me until several hours of game play and not even then. It made me a bit confused so I switched back to 1.6 and behold, worked perfectly fine and very responsive.

Thanks so much man! You've been so dedicated and have been updating this mod, you really deserve gratitude. I experience more rollbacks without this mod so maybe EA has to fix something base game first. Keep up the good job!

Animation delays still happening at the following: Festivals (heavy lag), Lounges and Restaurants. With my neighborhood setup on City Living, Karaoke Bar + Romance Festival and Flea Market + Lounge or Cafe or Bar, sims won't move for around 20sec. At home, it works great and fully-functional but with a full house, there are still spikes which are bearable yet noticeable.

Still, thank you very much for updating this one. <3

Appreciate the update. Still having problem though. Lots of lag when switching between speeds and sims standing idle.

Comment on the description page says "Updated 9th Oct 2017 at 4:32 AM by duderocks : made an adjustment to the script file that should (hopefully) alleviate the time lags."

Where is the updated version? Latest version on the download page is 1.7, with files last modified in late September.

If you do have a new version, please post it! I'm having horrible lag issues, Sims standing still for ages, etc., with 1.7. I have the latest version of MC Command Center installed (version 3.8.0), if that makes a difference. Thanks.

I've read through a few of these post trying to establish a pattern. I too am one of those folks who have never had any noticeable success with this mod, apart from the negative, not when simmythesim first did it, nor with any of the duderocks iterations.

I'm wondering if it because I also use MC to slow default time? I play a half default time speed, and I'm thinking that may be part of the reason this mod has never had any worthwhile effect in my game. I also might be using the wrong measuring stick to gauge, as one of the worst venues in game for agonising autonomy delay and ages waiting for your sim to move their ass even after a direct command, is at the GTW Science labs. Boy, is it horrendous. And when this mod does nothing to alleviate that in the slightest, I assume it is not working for whatever reason.

Now, as I said, I have been using a time slowing function of MC. Also have 20-odd sims turn up for work at the labs. If these are all elements that will cause this mod to fail or seriously under-perform, they need to be mentioned here. As most people who say it is not working for them, say only that; it is not working for them. They postulate no possible reasons why, or if their game is set up on different time speeds or large numbers of sims - given that most do use MC and may well be using its time altering function or its function to allow large numbers of sims. Let's help this great modder and the work he is doing for this great mod, and get to the bottom of why it is continuous and utter fail in some games, where others are reporting great success. I would like to be one of the latter one day.

I will now attempt using 1.7 in a game with no more slow time function. Default time speed only.

Update - 1.7 still having no visible positive effect. Negative effect being switching between sims in a household, whether right clicking them or clicking their portrait has too much of a delay. 1.6 better with sim switching, but still no positive effect in sims moving their asses quicker. And default time at the labs, still utterly horrendous with sim autonomy moving their ass to do something, even after a direct command. This long delay is the same speed no matter if the game time itself is default time or slower time. I've gotta go with the 20-odd sims being the reason for the agonising delay per interaction push. Though this mod does not cause that as it has always been the way of it, with or without this mod or any others that aim to speed up autonomy and sims moving their asses quicker.

So, in conclusion, if I want to see the same benefits this mod is supposed to provide, as some users have reported, do I need to stick to default time only, small lots with limited objects and activities, and have the Maxis limited number of sims per lot, especially community or work venues? If that's the case, I'd rather never play the game than go back to boring, because I don't see myself persevering with this game and its crappy catatonic sims much longer. The catatonic crap is certainly not getting any better, and Maxis refuse to address it. It's TS3 all over again.

good idea, @coolspear1. i'm adding my experience with both 1.6 and 1.7.

i only own the base game and the Fitness pack. i'm playing a 6-Sim household at the moment. the only other mod i play with is UI Cheats Extension, but i used this one on its own and there was no difference. i play at default time speed, sometimes at speed 2.

you say, "Negative effect being switching between sims in a household, whether right clicking them or clicking their portrait has too much of a delay. 1.6 better with sim switching, but still no positive effect in sims moving their asses quicker." and i agree. switching between Sims' info tabs/skills/etc., same issue. clicking on them to produce the pie menu, same thing. i'm not sure if this can be considered as part of the same "lag" though.

also, i have to say the lag doesn't improve when playing a single-Sim household either. i am willing to test out different scenarios if needed. thank you, @duderocks.

Hello,

I would like to add my experience as well. I have seen no improvement on the lag, with the current and previous version of the mod. I also play with MC and a slower time. I have many mods, but it doesn't matter if I remove them or not. I get the same amount of lag as the number of sims in the zone increases.

I hope this mod will get better at handling this, as EA doesn't seem to care.

I used this mod successfully until recently with a caveat, the lag always returned if I went to a Career lot. I recently uninstalled my entire CC folder and started again, the lag is back. I'm playing a 4 sim family, so that can't be my issue. But the sims are on a lot with lots of items (plants, rocks, pools, trees, etc.). That would seem to add one data point for limited objects.

I was experiencing significant lag on version 1.7 so I downgraded to version 1.6 like suggested and now the only delay I experience is when I switch between sim profiles and when I need to pause my game. But it's a small delay and it doesn't bother me. I do use MCCC but my game time is not slowed down. I do not experience lag when following my heir to his doctor career but I am using coolspear's career mods (thank you for those coolspear1) I am currently doing a Sister Wives based Legacy so about 12 sims now on a 50x40 lot. I also use a lot of mods (Personality Please!, MCCC, Wicked Whims, All of CoolSpears1 mods honestly, NoWeirdos, (LittleMsSam Mods: MiscarriageV2Low, Birth Optional Death, Social Activities, PlayingTogetherALLINONE, BetterButlerHire2Butler) VampireOutfitFix, VampireNoIdle, Vampire_No_Uncontrollable Hissing, nofakevampire. I have a bunch of others but I figure these are the bigger ones. I would like to say thank you for even trying to tackle the lag problem since it seems the developers have just given up or maybe they don't even know whats causing it. I am looking forward to Pets, but also dreading how even more broken this game will become. Without you modders, this game would not be as enjoyable. <3

To everyone, please download v1.6. 1.7 was an experimental fix that doesn't work well.
