Okay... gah... these damn things have given me more trouble than just about anything else and you'd -think- this would be simple. However, I did finally track down the shadowy issue once I got a proper picture of it. I recognized it as similar to something else, and thus was able to finally reproduce it, and then fix it. Please redownload - I can't think of anything else that would be broken but with my luck, something will be. *sigh*

sorry to add more to the problems your having lol, i <3 you! and your work so much. But this still isn't working for me =/ before he had normal face, green skin (adult male evil witch), now with this newest fix he has normal skin, green face, and I did change his appearance, nothing happened. Someone posted earlier, that they got the no sparkles fix from here, and it solved that issue, do you perhaps have that in your game? so maybe both hacks combined and made it fixed for that person, and possibly you as well, since you say your game is fine. I dunno honestly, just throwing stuff out there to figure out why it wont work for me, lol. Well nvm that, i see in your SS's here that you have sparkly witches. Ugh, i dont understand why its not working for me then, lol. I will keep trying i guess

mandababy2003 - I didn't change the faces -at all- in the new version. I only changed the body textures so any issues you're having with the face must be something else.

I haven't gotten around the witches yet, but knew I didn't like the green skin. Thanks for making this. I will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for making this! One problem I'm having, though, is that the witches' faces remain green, etc. I can fix this by using the mirror, so it's not a huge problem, but maybe you can look into it if you have a chance. Thanks!

Annuta - I already mentioned that in the first post. That's normal. You have to fix it using a mirror the first time and after that the faces should stay the proper colour. That's an issue with the way this sort of thing works and nothing I can do to fix it - but it's an easy fix for you to take them to a mirror, which is why I listed it in the installation instructions.

Thanks a lot! I couldn't stand those witches. They were too Wycked to me.

Now, I have a question: Can you point me a link where I can learn how to do it by myself, please?

unskilled_operator - This really isn't something that's documented in a tutorial format. If you search the Body Shop Skinning section (advanced search) for posts by me, containing the words "default replace" there's some info on it, but it really wouldn't get you into doing stuff quite like this. Best thing to do is look at some mods similar to what you want to make and get an idea of what they're doing and how they're put together, and then experiment with doing the same kind of thing on your own. Just as a hint, this uses (mostly) material definitions to point the good and evil witch skins to the neutral skin textures, instead of their defaults. I extracted the material definitions (TXMTs) for both skins from the game files by searching for their names (took a while to work out which were the right ones), added them to a new file, and then replaced the stdMatBaseTextureName line with the neutral witch skintone name instead.

Great work. Now I don't need to be all green and nasty looking.

I can't thank you properly now, need to put all this together first. Already saved what you've wrote for posterity, and now, going to read more about it. Thanks for the links.

eta: Oh, I kind of understand what you did here. Is that why the file is so small? Because there aren't textures in the file, you redirected them. You know, I think I like this default replacement even more. Neat idea!

unskilled_operator - Yep, that's exactly how it works. Rather than replacing the actual textures with new, blank ones, I just pointed it in the material definitions to the already-existing blank ones for neutral witches. Keeps the files nice and small. As an aside, the same technique can be used for almost anything - if you, say, age-convert an outfit from teen to adult, you can point the adult recolours at the teen textures, saving space. Or if you make a celebrity skin that only changes the face from an existing skin, you can point all the body textures to the existing skin, and just leave the face textures in your celebrity skin recolour file. My Idolatry of Flesh skins use a similar technique for the defaults - they point to the textures of the non-defaults, making for much smaller default packages that require the non-defaults to work.

Most excellent idea! The lizard green evil witch look was not really something I cared much for!

Thank YOU!

You have no idea how grateful I am that you replaced that awful green. Nothing against Elphaba, but if I want a sim to be a wicked witch, i'd like it to keep their default tone. There's nothing weirder than seeing someone with neon green skin (besides the jolly green giant) when a sim is shopping in a grocery store.

Thank you! This was a MUCH needed mod. I have a sim who's a bad witch, but I want her to look innocent and good... kind of hard with green skin!

Thank you for making this! I just got Apt Life a couple weeks ago, and the Wicked Witch of the West green skin was the main reason I haven't made any evil witches yet.

My future evil witches thank you in advance!

Thank goodness. I've searched for a mod like this, but for whatever reason I couldn't find this one. Good job!
