Thanks a ton! for fixing and re uploading this!

Going to test it right away!

Edit:
So far it seems to work great! I am very glad you figured out how to make the puddles stay on the streets longer! It was so immersion breaking seeing the puddles disappear instantly when rain stopped!

I think I may have to make use of this mod. Although, I do kinda wish Windenburg was pushed further north for heavier snows.

Wow, this is everything that I've ever wanted in a weather mod. Thank you for making this! I'm excited to try this in my game.

I really do like this overhaul! But to tell the truth I was actually hoping it was an actual overhaul for the weather graphics...
I mean look at the rain and snow, it's too darn huge in size! The rain drops are about 2-4 inches across and 12-14 inches high!
The rain pierces through the terrain... No puddle rain droplets or terrain droplets just only in the oceans,lakes,rivers...
Don't also forget no rain on the roofs falling on the edges or the entirety of them...

I was trying to use the studio to locate the rain textures but I cant seem to find them...
I was going to make them more transparent and smaller in scale.

Enough ranting though, this mod is great and I really appreciate it!

I considered changing some of these things, but i think these would require changing the core script and not tuning files, which I don't think I can do. I agree with you though the rain droplet size especially is really unrealistic.

That's a shame... It's like instead of hard rain when it's supposed to be a torrential deluge of a thunderstorm I see streaks of semi-transparent long lines falling through the ground...
It makes one wonder; what the heck were they thinking lol..?
I mean make an expansion pack named "Seasons" and skimp on the weather for realism *facepalm*...
It kind of puts the ball pit to shame really...

Well that and the atrocity of the City Living buildings lol...

If it's the core script then #$(@!... Sigh, Sims 3 with all its problems, it had some really good weather...

I don't mind the size of the rain 'droplets' but the snow falling down is waay too large and white. They look out of place.

This is the kind of mod you don't think about before downloading it, and then can't live without once you know about it.

Thank you very much.

Hi there! Thanks for this mod! I'm having a strange error that whenever I first load back into a household, the weather is always a blizzard, no matter the season or town. I've been using cheats to change it back to season appropriate weather, and then it seems fine. I've got no specific weather mods other than yours, but could it be conflicting with MCCC or weerbusus cheats mod? Thanks so much, been looking for a mod like this! (though I agree that I think Windenburg should have really cold winters and snow, I always thought it was based on Amsterdam or other northern European countries. ;P)

That's weird, I have never seen something like that happen, i can't really think of a reason why either. My only suggestion would be to start a new game with only my mod and then load the mods one at a time each time you don't see the error.
About Windenburg, the weather is already based on Rostock, which is colder than Amsterdam, also since the name seems like it's German and it's a coastal town I thought it would be a good choice. If you're playing with 7 day seasons however, there is no world (maybe except Brindleton Bay) that will guarantee snow since shortening 90 days of weather to 7 is very difficult while still representing the real world climate, so I would recommend making the season length longer if you want more accurate results.
Edit: As long as you're using the latest version the conflicting mod should not be MCCC.

Hey this mod looks awesome. Just a question if you don't mind?

Does this scale well with 28 days seasons? I'm worried it would rain infinitely for a while etc?

I would actually recommend 28 day seasons, it would make the weather much more representative of the real cities they’re based on.
I don’t know what you mean by ‘raining infinitely’ but I’ve mostly tested the mod in 28 day seasons and the longest continuous rainfall was 3 ingame days which only happened once in San Myshuno. 28 day seasons do not change the length of weather events anyway so i don’t think it will be a problem

I just saw this mod and have some questions: what's the recommended season length, I play 14 day per season
how different is the weather from the default weather per world now
is the mod easily install and removeable? like can I just put it in and see the change or do I have like wait a season

For the season length, anything longer than 7 should work fine. The mod should also take effect when you start playing the first time after you've downloaded it. However if you want to be absolutely certain that it takes effect, go into seasons options, change the season length, apply changes (but don't quit the options menu) and then change the season length again, back to your preferred length.

is it possible to make an object to check the weather before traveling?

Showing current conditions for another world is impossible as far as i know as the weather in another world only fully loads in when you've travelled there. I guess the other option is showing forecasts, which means that somehow the game would show another world's calendar, and i don't know if that's possible or not.

I'm happy to see that this mod has returned. I always thought it was a great idea. I'm especially happy to see the addition of puddles sticking around longer now. I just have one concern - I have not been able to play much since the first mod came out, but every time I've played the game with the old mod and now replaced with this mod as well the wind always looks like it is in thunderstorm mode. Have I just not played enough or could this be something wrong?

♫ Keeping this here until EA gives us a proper playable woodwind/brass instrument ♫
For now, though, my decorative Bassoon conversion for TS4. =)
