Updated 06-21-2018 --- Fixed notification announcements and updated the animation to be more suitable.

Updated Dec 13, 2017 - Version 7b now restores the feature of Sims being able to autonomously evolve all plants.

Updated Dec 9, 2017 - The updated mod doesn't do everything the old mod used to do, but it should suffice for now at least! I wasn't even seriously considering touching this mod at all with all the plant objects that would need changes until I noticed in the comments that someone posted that the game was supposed to allow all plants to be evolved by default now but it wasn't working properly.
  • Fixes the evolve plant action so that all available plants on a lot are evolved. The game was updated at one point to supposedly allow all plants to be evolved in this manner, but they were missing some crucial bits of XML code required to make it work past a single plant.
  • Fixes the bug which prevented plants being evolved past the first one as counting towards level 2 of the nature aspiration.
  • Since they added the "continuation" XML to the plant objects, only three XML files needed to be adjusted to make these fixes, making the mod a LOT easier to update in the future (before every single plant object needed to be edited with every game patch, a time-consuming and error prone task).
  • This doesn't include the old mod features of autonomous plant evolution, or the inclusion of evolution occuring during the "tend garden" cycle.
  • Still fully compatible with Faster Gardening (which has also been updated).
  • All outdated versions of the mod have been removed and are no longer supported.

Description

This mod for The Sims 4 will cause the Evolve Plant action to work like weeding and watering, the sim will automatically move from plant to plant evolving each plant which is eligible. In addition, the Evolve Plant action has been added to the Tend Garden cycle.

This mod is fully compatible with the most recent version of the Faster Gardening mod.

Installation Instructions

For version 7 there is only one flavor of the mod, no separate packages are required anymore for different game packs. Simply pop the package in your mods folder and EAxis's mistakes go bye-bye.

The mod was written for TS4 version 1.44.77.1020 (June 19, 2018) and is incompatible with earlier versions.

This mod may cause conflicts with other mods which change gardening actions or plant objects. Due to the wide variety of mods and sources for them, it is unlikely I will be able to help you with such a conflict.

I have been using this mod for a while, and I love it, but I just had an issue where when I graft one plant onto another, it doesn't show that it's been done, and then, like, three of the spliced plant start growing on top of the plant I grafted it onto. It's bizarre. I was using Evolve All v2 and the OR add on, I took them both out, and I was able to graft properly. I don't graft much in the game, so I don't know when this started happening. I'll post a picture if I can reproduce it.

I'll see if I can reproduce this. I haven't done any splicing in ages, but AFAIK nothing's changed in the game regarding the splicing. The mod doesn't touch any of the splicing interactions, so this seems like it could be another issue. I'll double check the plant objects to make sure those didn't change without me noticing.

EDIT - Splicing seems to be working for me. @freaklegg - Let me know if you discover anything new.

Plants Can't Be Evolve and Harvest
Thanks for this wonderful mod. I love it, it's very helpful and useful.

Two things I like to let you know: 1.) The Intergalactic Growth Pod Plant (UFO) can not be evolve when I choose to "tend garden". I have to evolve it separately from the rest of the plants. 2.) The Death Flower have to be harvest separately, it will not get harvest with "Harvest All" option.

Note: I have both EvolveAll Faster Gardening v2 and EvolveAll Outdoor Retreat v3 in my mods folder.

Maybe when you have time you can take a look at it, thanks very much.

Thanks for your amazing work!

I have both EvolveAll Faster Gardening v2 and EvolveAll Outdoor Retreat v3, but I don't see any speeding up with weeding. Watering does go faster. I don't have any other mods installed.

With only the Faster Gardening Mod v3 installed I see some speeding up of weeding, but some plants take the normal time. (For example, one grape vine gets weeded fast, the other slow). It's a little weird.

At first I thought you were imagining things, but your mentioning that some plants would take longer to weed than others made me take another look at the mod. That indicated to me that you were probably actually paying attention and maybe something really was wrong.

It's been wrong since the beginning! I'm amazed no one ever noticed before - I'd thought a couple of times that weeding seemed to be taking a long time, but thought I was probably imagining things.

Turns out that I mistakenly assumed that when energized it would "boost" the speed of weeding by 'x' amount, but that number wasn't a boost it was a replacement for if the sim was energized. So my guess is you probably had a plant near something that would boost your sim into an energized mood and that's why that plant took longer.

I've updated the mod (and the original Faster Gardening) with the fix. Weeding while energized should no longer take longer than when not energized! Be sure to delete the old version of the mod if you update.

Was the plant you were grafting to Basil? This is a known issue with the plant. http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4...il/td-p/4244222

The mod seems to be in conflict with the newest patch. Choosing to water plants leads to the cancellation of the action and resetting the sim

It was a battle to make it work, until I figured out what I was missing. Stupid, simple mistake! I must be tired!

Version 3 is now available for download and is working properly with the March 26 game patch.

Scumbumbo -- thank you for the prompt update! I really do appreciate the work you put into all these mods!

Willowoz -- If I'm understanding correctly, I think you still need the additional OR mod to have full 'Evolve all' functionality with the OR plants. But the new v3 should work with that additional mod. As far as I can tell.

Thank you so much for the quick update!

I've noticed one small problem that I am pretty sure is linked to this mod. Whenever my sim goes to take a cutting from a plant on her home lot she resets and doesn't get any cuttings. However it works fine on wild plants, weird right? I tried it on multiple lots and with multiple sims and got the same result. When I removed this mod it works fine. It's a small problem so no big deal just something I thought I'd bring to your attention! I love your mods thank you so much for all your hard work!

My family are gathers (living off the grid) Using Evolve all with fast gardening v3 (3/28) and Outdoor V3 of same genre(2/22 pkg date). Just cleaned dumped and add all new mods today. What am I doing wrong. Also, fixed at Origins before adding mods again. Help!

15 plus tries in every combo and Xml plant assoc. mod drop) and I think its my base game. Even with this mod out and clear cache cannot access plants to harvest. WAAAAAAA!!!!!

Well, this mod doesn't actually touch any of the harvesting code, so I'm thinking maybe something else is interfering. You say you tried fixing the game before readding mods, did you try harvesting with no mods at all after the fix? That would indicate whether it's the base game or something else getting in the way. The actions getting dropped out of the queue sounds like a bad mod, but could be the base game. I had one mod that was causing pathing problems that caused issues with other mods, but don't remember which one it was Sorry.

Check to see if you have the wash dishes from sitting mod (don't remember the exact name). I'm running Evolve All myself (of course, I did write it for ME after all, I just love to share) and having no issues with washing dishes.
